I work for a DSP (Delivery Service Provider) partnered with Amazon and we have used this towing company a few times to get out drivers out of some sticky situations typically in Lewisburg/College Grove/ Chapel Hill areas but we always have a 10/10 experience when using Mark's towing and we will definitely be using them for any future tows or winch outs. . I usually talk to the older gentleman and he is always super nice and attentive and keeps me updated on any issues, if any. Every time we use Mark's towing they get out to our drivers super fast and are able to get down any back roads we send them to. read more

Went to my grandfather's funeral, and when I got back, my car was towed by this scammy company. AFTER the Uber drops me off, the crabby, rude old lady at the front desk informs me I can only pay cash to get my vehicle out for $500!!! I'm already crying because I'm stressed about the funeral, and scared being in this city alone when my home is 3 hours away. Only accepting cash is a huge red flag, but to make it even better, they don't have an ATM! So, crying, I have to call another uber to take me to an atm to get cash and back to the tow yard. Upon paying the $500 extortion fee, I discover I dropped my car keys in the uber. Now I'm really crying because it just has been a really bad day. I have to call Uber and pay them for the driver's phone number to then pay him to drive my keys back to the tow yard. The crabby, horrible-excuse-for-a-human being at the front desk sees me crying and calling the uber driver, and gleefully sings out to me that if the driver isn't there by 6:00 pm with my keys(it's 5:30 pm) that I will not be able to get my car because she is closing and it will be an additional $65 to get tomorrow. I am STRANDED at this place, three hours from my home, out of money with no place to go, and she could see how scared and upset I was, but she found it pleasurable to add to my distress by being a horrible, evil human being. What kind of person does that? Yep, I made a mistake in my time of shock and sorrow, got my car towed, and paid over $700 rectifying it. But to be treated the way that old lady treated me and to be mocked and laughed at during something so stressful and scary is a testament to what kind of company this is. Thankfully the uber driver arrived 5 minutes before they closed. Now all I can do is spend my long drive home praying that the rude, empathy-lacking old lady at the front desk receives everything she deserves in this lifetime and the next one. read more

McNamara doesn't use proper signage, and Mark's Towing violated the law by towing my car. There was a repavement project that also added some gutters in Eagan, but I was told by Eagan PD to refer the matter about parking to McNamara Contracting, which Jeremy, their project manager, state that the "no parking" sign (which was not even up to MUCTD Code and not even enforceable) was meant for the area immediately surrounding a location where they intend to install a gutter, and that the repaving of the street was about a month away and claimed that there would be ample notice before work begins. However, after 2 weeks of parking in the area without a problem, I ran an errand at 2 PM and didn't see any signs when I came back, they just simply put up more flimsy "no parking" signs with NO warning about the potential of your car being towed at approximately 5 PM according to my car's dash cam, then began work around 10 AM and my car was towed by Mark's Towing, so that's only 18 hours of warning, or 6 hours short of the 24 hour notice*, which caused lots of undue stress and is very irresponsible of both McNamara and Mark's Towing. *MN Statute 168B.035, Subd. 3 Towing Prohibited. (b) A towing authority may tow a motor vehicle, notwithstanding paragraph (a), if: [...] (7) the vehicle is parked in an area that has been posted for temporary restricted parking [...] (ii) at least 24 hours in advance [...]. read more

My daughter got in an accident on I-494 in Bloomington at 8:45am. I was on my way to go get her and my car. State trooper decided to call Mark's Towing to tow my car before I even got there because I was coming from Forest Lake. I went straight to Mark's Towing literally minutes after they took my car there. They allowed me to go look at the car because they told me it's not drivable. After looking at my car, I agreed that it's not drivable and that it will be a total loss. I came back and asked the lady in the front if I can just pay the fees and give my car over to them. She said that I needed to wait for a police report to see who caused the accident as it was a pile up accident and all the insurances needed to work together to see who caused the accident and the only way to know is from the police report. I told her that my daughter rear ended the car in front of her and that was why all the cars behind her also rear ended eachother. She said I still have to wait for the police report and to contact my insurance. I told her I don't need to contact my insurance because my coverage is a liability only coverage so I just want to take care of my car first and the fees related to it as I do not want to pay anymore incurred fees due to waiting for days until insurances figure out who is at fault. But she kept repeating what I needed to do. So, I came home by 11am and contacted my insurance. My insurance said because my daughter rear ended the car in front of her, she is at fault but they won't need my car so I am ok to go get my car and try to sell it to a junk yard to get some money back. My insurance company even called Mark's Towing to tell them that I will be picking up my car as my insurance company does not need my car because of my coverage. The lady told my insurance company that she will give me a call. By 12:45pm, I didn't get a call so I called Mark's Towing back and told the lady that I will be picking up my car. She told me she can't release it to me yet because they have to "reprice" my total fees because my insurance coverage changed and the manager won't be in until later afternoon to reprice it so I can't go pick up my car until they reprice it. What does my insurance coverage have to do with their pricing? Mark's Towing finally called me at 2:20pm saying I can go pick up my car for $556 or if I give my car to them, then they will knock off $200. $556 for less than 6 hours at their lot. This is ridiculous. They are also a cash only business. The whole thing sounds fishy. State Trooper needs to find a new towing business to work with as this place overcharges customers. Do not use this place for any towing services. This was just out of my control because State Trooper called them to tow my car without my consent. read more

I was panicking because my insurance found a company to do a lock out but then the company cancels and then a hour later calls and said they MIGHT HAVE SOMEONE. BUT I already called Mark's Towing because I saw a sign at my job for them. I called and got through right away and the woman said a hour or so. It was less then a hour and they called and said they where here . They went to the wrong location but it was a easy miss understanding from post office to post office and came and was really friendly and fast ! Got the job done . I DON'T RECOMMEND IT! Call another company if you don't want to pay 2-3 times more. Any other company will take less money than this one. I only needed to help to leave the roadside (the tires were slipping), the incident occurred on the road, so the police stopped and offered help. The police called this company because I didn't know the other one. A specialist arrived and in 5 minutes pulled the car off the side of the road, we refused further services (to deliver home), as the car was in working condition. At first he said that this service costs $170, we were very surprised, but later he changed his mind and decided to charge us $223 . My friend was in a similar situation, he paid another company for taking his car to the parking lot and for a day of the car there - $150. We ask why such an amount, to which he replied that he was driving to us for an hour, although in fact no more than 15 minutes have passed since the policeman called this company. As it turned out, the company's employees can be dishonest, the attitude towards customers is low. I wrote to the company manager with a request to check the amount, but I never received a response. I definitely don't recommend this company, think about whether it's worth the risk. The review is left on all possible sites to warn people. read more

I had an incident in where I had a rental car towed due to the irresponsibility of another person and was told the car had been towed to Marks. Upon calling them I was informed that the car was on a "police hold" and could not be released until they "heard" back from the state patrol. Mind you I had talked to the state patrol TWICE before calling them and the patrol officer NEVER told me there was a hold. All he said was that the owner needed to be present in order to retrieve the vehicle. I relayed this information to the receptionist or whatever she would like to call herself and she insisted it was on a "police hold". She also informed me in a condescending tone that the total for only 3 days is $480 dollars and they only accept cash ( SHADY). Also the vehicle will accrue $50 for everyday it is there. I then called the owner of the vehicle and let him know what happened and the details provided. After calling state patrol himself and obtaining what he needed, he called me back and told me there is no hold and we can retrieve the vehicle as soon as possible. Whoever was on the phone lied and wasted everyone's time in hopes that we were so incompetent that we wouldn't figure out she was full of crap and would be able to collect her little $50/day until they were good and ready to remove the "police hold". These people are money hungry FRAUDS and SCAMMERS!!!! read more

I somehow locked my keys inside my car with it running. I called Mark's and they were super polite and professional. They were at my house within 15 minutes and got my car unlocked within minutes. I spoke with them and they said a truck could get out to me in the suburbs in 30-45 minutes. 30 minutes later the truck arrived as promised. The driver was personable and professional. Total charge to tow the car - Tow: 155 Labor - clean up : 30 Administration fee: 30 Fuel - 5.00 Storage 70.00 They would not let me remove personal items from the car, while I was deciding what I was going to do with it - could not get a garage door opener out of the vehicle. I felt totally violated. They should charge $1000 for a 3 mile tow. why not? what choice did I have? Total to tow car 3 miles and store OVERNIGHT: $301.40. Thanks Marks. you guys are the best. NOT! I was almost killed on the road by a Marks Towing driver in a flatbed tow truck today. He carelessly moved two lanes over to take the highway 61 exit from 494E at the very last second. I was fully in the lane and had to slam on my brakes so as to not get killed! I called dispatch to report this and they were dismissive. They should have safer drivers behind the wheel of massive machines like this. People should be able to trust the companies that put huge trucks on the road. The WORST customer service I have ever seen. When I had called, the man on the phone was so rude that he brought me to tears. He wouldn't stop yelling at me and demeaning me. He held what I said to him against me in a manipulative manner trying to hold it over my head when he knew I was exhausted and in a tight situation. It was like he was looking for an argument. I will be telling everyone I know about this situation including the airport in hopes of having an alternative option for my car troubles. My vehicle got towed from Mall of America by Mark's Towing. Now, I realize I parked in a spot that wasn't a marked parking location. That was my fault, but it was an honest mistake. In winter time, it can be difficult to see the lines on the lot. I also realize Mark's Towing is simply towing the tagged vehicles and ultimately mall security should have better discernment. Car broke down during snow storm and called Mark's Towing at the recommendation of the repair shop. Dispatcher was pleasant when I called at 6PM and quoted a reasonable price - she indicated that a tow would be approximately 1 hour. The timing was important because I needed to get to the repair shop before closing and also to receive a needed loaner vehicle. No sign of a tow truck at 7PM so called back to confirm that we were still on track. A gentlemen answered the phone this time and indicated that they do not have a vehicle heading toward me and danced when I tried to determine a service window. Said it could be 4 hours or tomorrow due to accidents they were responding to. I calmly expressed frustration and was told I would understand if I "looked outside". I fully understand that tow trucks would be busy during a storm. The problem is that Mark's Towing made it sound like they would be to me in an hour while they were in no position to set that expectation. I would not recommend Mark's Towing due to poor customer service and unreliability. Depending on them left me scrambling for another provider during an already hectic day! read more

Mark's Towing and our driver Mitch went above and beyond when our car would not start at the airport parking lot and we needed a long tow home to Rochester at 9pm at night. AAA couldn't find any towing companies that were willing to do the long tow at that time of night so they told us to start cold calling local tow companies on our own. Many that we called said no and we were left feeling desperate until Mark's Towing answered the phone and said yes! The employee that answered the phone was kind and professional and ensured that he would deal directly with AAA to get all the necessary paperwork completed so we wouldn't have to pay out of pocket. Worst people ever!!! Absolutely no conscience at all. I am a female who had spun my car into a ditch on the side of the freeway. I had been sitting in my car in the dark for about three hours on a cold frigid night. Mark's tow truck driver pulled over and stopped. I asked if he could bill me because I had no access to cash at that time but informed him I had been stranded with no help. The guy could have pulled me back up in less than five minutes, but instead, he coldly walked away from me because I had no money to pay him on the spot and left. I came back from a week long trip to find my car would not start. I went to the blue light intercom box in the elevator area of the Gold Ramp on level 2, They told me to call Marks Towing and gave me the phone number. I called and the dispatcher told me that they were onsite and that he would be there within 15 minutes. A half hour later when nobody showed up I called back and she said that he would be driving up to my location any minute. Another 30 minutes goes by and I call again. She again asks me the color and make of my car(I don't think it changed), I gave her the information and she asked my location again. I told her that I was in the general parking gold ramp level 2, parked in the handicap parking right in front of the door. She said he had cleared my call and another, I told her that their truck had not been anywhere near my location. She said he would be there within a few minutes. So my 15 minutes turned into 75 minutes. I guess I'm glad they don't drive ambulances. read more
