Among other reasons we chose to stay at Marlin Bay because their ads portrayed such a beautiful property. The ads were 100% accurate. Marlin Bay is an incredibly beautiful resort. The location can't be beat. Situated on the Gulf but away from the hustle of Marathon. The resort is the perfect size too. Maybe about 10 rental units plus the marina slips. The pool (heated) was perfect! Add in the pool bar and you've got some great lazy days just waiting for you. The entire MB staff all were very friendly, professional, and helpful. This is a luxury property. It shows in every way. And worth it. We absolutely loved our rental unit. The unit was expertly built and designed. Beds very comfortable. First class accommodations. We throughly enjoyed out stay at Marlin Bay and cannot wait to go back. It is a true gem in the Keys.

Very interesting spot. The pool is nice but small and shaded most of the time. The ocean views from the marina are beautiful. Dock master guys are A+ guys. Super helpful!!! Couple of important things they need to work on. #1 there is NO food at this resort. #2 Gym hours suck from 8am til 6pm and you have to get a front desk person to grant you access every time. #3 there is no beachy area. #4 no outdoor area for kids, no playgrounds. Would have been nice to know all of this before coming here. Also we had an issue and they did nothing about it

The living room in the house. So comfortable and clean!

Wish they still served coffee and tea in the clubhouse in the mornings (this was pre covid!).

If you're looking for a beautiful place to relax in the Florida Keys, Tranquility Bay is definitely…read moreworth considering. The rooms and bathrooms are surprisingly spacious, with multiple room configurations available. Many of the suites could easily accommodate a family of four or five. We weren't traveling as a family, though we were there for a romantic getaway, and it was the perfect setting for that as well. The property has three pools, giving everyone options. There's a huge main pool, a nice-sized adults-only pool (which was a bit of a walk from our room, but we still spent most of our pool time there), and a smaller pool right outside our room that we absolutely loved. We visited during one of the hottest weeks of the year, so the smaller pool felt more like a warm bath than a refreshing swim...but that's Florida in July! One nice features was the protected swimming area in the ocean. It was such a fun place to cool off, float, and enjoy the beautiful water. The tiki bar overlooking the ocean is gorgeous and has the perfect island vibe. There's also a small restaurant on the property that opens for dinner after 5:00 p.m., but pretty $$$ One unexpected bonus was the amazing Cuban restaurant directly across the street. We ate there several times during our stay (I'll be writing a separate review because it deserves one!). Another great attraction is the Turtle Hospital, which is literally next door. It's an inspiring place to visit and made it easy to enjoy an educational outing before heading back to relax at the resort. A few things to know before you go: * Pool service is available, but if you're expecting quick cabana-style service, be prepared to wait. * There is one small fitness center, and it's also where the ice machine is located. We were lucky because our room was nearby. * If you use a lot of ice, consider bringing a cooler and extra ice with you. Most rooms have refrigerators, but not all include a freezer, as an example ours did not. But lucked out on location *room 107 What truly set Tranquility Bay apart, however, was the staff. During a small medical issue I experienced, their response went far beyond simply following protocol. They were there immediately, but what impressed us even more was the genuine concern they showed afterward. There's a difference between employees who are simply protecting the company and those who truly care about their guests as people. The team at Tranquility Bay showed us they genuinely care, and we'll never forget that kindness. We also had an issue with my husband's motorcycle, and Jose was there right away to help. His willingness to jump in without hesitation is another example of the outstanding customer service we experienced throughout our stay. Beautiful property, spacious accommodations, relaxing pools, stunning ocean views, and a staff that treats you like family, that combination is what makes Tranquility Bay a place we'd happily recommend. Whether you're planning a family vacation or a romantic escape, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Giving 4 stars, because I think the grounds need a little TLC. Pool was adequate, nothing fancy, but a typical old school Florida vibe from my childhood. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, but the coffee was good. 5 stars would have been more of a full service resort that we could have gotten with the courtyard down the street, but for the price this was perfect for the needs of this trip. I recommend Banana Bay if you need a nice hotel room without the extra amenities. Overall, I booked this hotel for the comfy room. My family of 4 slept well and I was happy with the room.

The night before we were charged 312.66 which assumed was including taxes. Once we arrived, we were informed there was another charge for resort (35.00) per night and parking (18.00) per night. We shared our frustration that wasn't reflected in their advertised price or any other booking site making their pricing look deceptive. Additionally, we told the lady we didn't have a car to warrant the parking fee. She said she would try to take it off, therefore it should have been 105.00. Our credit card was charged 168.14 which was more than the resort fee and parking combined. Our portfolio shows it should have cost us 430.80 but was charged 480.00. But it doesn't stop there. After we had left the resort on our way home I received an email that additional charges were placed on my card. We left the room clean, nothing missing so couldn't figure it out. Tried calling to find out why even more charges. No one with customer service would answer the phone and mailbox was full. So I called reservations. She hung up on me twice and once said she was transferring me to someone that could help which was the same customer service line with no answer and full mailbox. Very deceptive resort. Will never stay there again and only recommendation would be don't go there.
