This place is absolutely beautiful and it feels like you are transported to a tropical island getaway! The property is stunning with so much to do, the mini golf is amazing! The staff has great attention to detail and truly cares. We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary, Christopher & Chef Van provided us with an amazing dinner experience and a complimentary dessert that was so beautiful, I felt bad messing it up and eating it! I will definitely be recommending this resort to anyone coming to the keys or anyone who needs a relaxing trip somewhere beautiful.

We had an incredible stay at Islander Resort! This was our first time to Islamorada and Islander Resort was the perfect place to stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, the property was beautiful and well kept, the rooms were newly renovated, and the amenities amazing. We booked our reservation a few months prior. The website wasn't super user friendly but the reviews looked great so we went ahead and booked. The pictures don't do this place justice. We were able to check-in an hour early. The person who checked us in was so welcoming and had many dinner and activity recommendations for us. We then found our room. I loved the layout of the resort. You can park right in front of your room. There are about 6 rooms per block. Everything looked new, the room design was so modern and comfortable, except for our bathroom. I would have thought the shower would have been more updated. I loved that each room had their own private patio. The bed was incredibly comfortable, they had a great AC unit, overall great. My only complaint was that the shower hot water was inconsistent. Sometimes it would take minutes to warm up and the first night we never got hot water. From our room you could walk a sand path down to the pool and beach area. The grounds were stunning, everything is so well maintained. They have a great restaurant, couch seating area with ocean views, beach lounging, pool, dock, basketball court, bikes, and golf putting course right on the water. The two pools were so nice. They have endless fresh towels, an outdoor bar, and the cleanest outdoor style bathrooms I've ever been in. The outdoor bar had a good menu but not the most helpful or efficient bartenders. They had everything you could imagine. They also had pickleball courts which we used many mornings. They also offer fun activities such as movie night on the beach, painting coconuts, science expo, trivia, etc. The resort is a great size. It never felt too crowded, it's not too big, and the quality is very noticable. Overall an amazing stay, we can't wait to come back!

Great secluded spot in the Keys. Multiple pools, beach access with free access to paddle board & kayaks, and arguably the best key lime colada I had while on my Florida Keys vacation. Unfortunately when we arrived, there was some sort of maintenance issue in one of the rooms we originally booked which delayed our check in time by a few hours. In reading the reviews, it sounds like maintenance issues are somewhat common. But the customer service was great; they were apologetic and gave us a couple drink coupons for the beach bar (where I discovered the delicious key lime coladas). When the maintenance took longer than expected, they ended up just upgrading one of our rooms to a premium suite. We ended up with probably one of the best rooms in the whole resort- beachfront and equipped with a full kitchen, living room, separate bedroom and soaking tub. Really turned around our day after having to wait several hours to check in. Overall had a lovely stay and even our other basic room was comfortable and spacious.

Stayed here again in August 2025, and we got to see the place after all the construction was done, and it was great. The pool that they were working on was great and so were all the activities that were put on the grounds. Every resort should have the golf cart that takes you around to surrounding stores and restaurants. A little disappointed they didn't give the free sunglasses or alcohol like last time.

Everything! This is the best kept secret. Where can you watch the sunrise on the water... then go across the street and catch it set? Capturing the extraordinary experience, the thoughtful staff, the carefully appointed details... all of which make your feel like family and provide a runway to make memories. Joy, Josh, and all the staff truly go out of their way to enrich your experience. Comfortable, casual and elevated! The food is delectable too. There is so much to do at and around the resort. Check out a bike and explore. Do a boat trip, hit the dive bars or enjoy the refined elegance resortside.

This was our first time here and we will certainly be back! The rooms are renovated and decor is beachy and cute. The rooms have a small desk, mini fridge, TV, couch and a closet with bathrobes. The back patio area is very spacious with a table and chairs for eating as well as a few loungers. The room felt more like a private villa and we loved it! The beach area is rather large with a dedicated swimming area and beach chairs. They have kayaks and paddle boards available, free of charge. They also have bikes which we used and enjoyed. They have the beach setup for cornhole, volleyball, ping pong, basketball, etc. The swimming pool area has two pools- saltwater and chlorine, as well as hot tub. They were undergoing renovations but they still had a bar available and Rachel was making amazing Mai Tais! They have dedicated activities on each day but I believe they may all come with a cost, which wasnt indicated on the daily sheet they provide. We showed up for tie dye and it cost us $20 per shirt. I wasn't thrilled about that but you live and learn.

We recently spent 10 days at the Islander Resort in Islamorada, FL; it was our first trip to the Keys after many years of vacationing near Sarasota on the Gulf side of the state. Suffice to say that it was an awesome and wonderful surprise to discover what we have been missing all this time! We arrived right after a complete renovation of both the grounds and lodging had been completed; the results are magnificent! It is a tranquil, lush tropical paradise with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. Our room was a 'poolside cabana room' that gave immediate access to the pool, as well as easy access to the beach & restaurants. The room exceeded all of our expectations, and included a coffee maker, fridge and in-room safe. Waking up to bright, golden sunrises over the ocean each morning never got old! The property is large and affords everyone room to relax while looking out over the ocean in your own personal space without feeling crowded. At night fire pit tables and plush seating areas are a cozy place for a night cap or star gazing. Additionally, one end of the resort offers guests recreational activities such as miniature golf, bocce ball, basketball, bicycles, kayaks, etc. The activity in this area is far enough away to not interfere with the beach & pool serenity. The two beautiful pools offer poolside bar service. Islander Resort offers two on site restaurants Drift & Tides along with a food truck. Tides is a fun, lively outdoor pull-up-a-chair bar scene where casual food is served, while Drift offers a more formal opportunity for breakfast and dinner while enjoying uninterrupted views of the water. Shouts out to Tim, Jen, Charles, Belle, Renee, Alexandra, Jamie, Todd & Madison...thanks for the wonderful hospitality! All the employees we had the pleasure to meet during our stay made sure we were well taken care of and happy. Everyone, from the moment you arrive till the day you depart, are focused on making your stay a memorable one. Big thanks to Victoria, Monique, Angela, Sara, Steven & Trish for making sure our stay was carefree in every way We liked it so much we extended our first stay twice and are heading back again just to make sure we weren't dreaming!

I had an amazing time at this resort!! It's extremely clean, pools are perfect and it's not over crowded whatsoever. There is beach access as well. Great food and drinks, with beach and poolside service! I can't wait to come back!

We were originally booked for the Bayside villas, when we arrived we were greeted by a large cockroach!! We went back to the Islander front desk and were immediately helped by Angela. She absolutely SAVED our trip!! She did everything she could to make sure we were satisfied. She went above and beyond and was so kind. We were travelling with another couple. She was able to work some magic and get both parties into separate rooms right at the resort. We both stayed in cabana rooms which were great! The only down side was there was no adult pool. The pool is nice but small. Bottom line, Angela is the best!!

First time staying at Islander Resort as we wanted a mini getaway. Upon arrival at the lobby, it is clean and service was attentive. There are two pools and a hot tub that overlooks the beach. We didn't try the restaurants as we brought our food. Overall, we had a nice time. Im rating this place a 4 stars as it appears they are super strict on the check in time for 4pm. Our party arrived at 1pm and I was hoping our room would be ready by 2pm since check out is 11am. Suggestion: more umbrellas are needed by the pool area.

Very relaxing resort with lots to offer. Rooms are renovated and very nice. Some rooms allow dogs. The resort offers two pools plus a hot tub. They even serve drinks by the pool. Lots of lounge chairs. Ocean front with lounge chairs and designed swimming area. They have bicycles and kayaks. Two restaurants- one for breakfast and the other for lunch and dinner. This resort makes you feel a world away from everything. No stress here. Great place to stay. You may never leave.

Does the Islander Resort have a dive shop or near a good dive shop?

No dive shop on premises. I can't respond regarding the quality of dive shops in the area, but it is the Keys, known for its diving, so how bad could they be?

After 3 days my wife had to threaten the front desk staff with using towels to wipe her ass if the maids didn't restock the toilet paper in our room. Totally unacceptable for a resort. They kept assuring us the rooms service maids were coming in daily, but they never did until she threatened to come down and make a scene. The staff seemed unmotivated to complete even the basic cleaning tasks. We only asked for two coffee k cups, clean towels and the two room garbage cans to be emptied on a daily basis. That was just too demanding and the staff tried to mean-mug us when we came and went but finally got it done for the final two days of our visit. I'd advise you visit another property because the service is nonexistent and a total disappointment. Their on site restaurant was a joke as well. Completely overpriced and out of touch given the location. Every other restaurant we visited in the area was excellent, but theirs was almost always empty. The menu was way overpriced and there were countless local options that were much better and less expensive. Nearly all the staff on site see to be unwilling to provide service to customers and displaying a shitty attitude overall. Leadership changes need to take place or this property will crumble. Good location, just bad service with inadequate leadership supervision.

This created unnecessary stress in the weeks leading up to the event and added cost to me. See examples below. 2. Did not follow through with what was promised. 3. Over-billing/deceptive billing practices/pressure-billing 4. Lack of professionalism 5. Very poor execution of my vision The following examples illustrate why I would not recommend this company: 1. I booked their services in early June and at this time had initial conversations with Trinity regarding my vision and planning/designing services that Trinity was going to facilitate. Then on July 5th, I sent a follow up email confirm décor options/cake etc. An entire month went by without any response from Trinity or her team, which prompted me to write another email on August 10th expressing my frustration; finally, Trinity called me that day. I was asked to create a pinterest board for her so she had a better idea of my vision which I worked very hard on in order to paint a clear picture and completed promptly. On September 5th, I once again had to initiate contact in order to go over MANY specifics that were still not confirmed on her end (flowers, stage, dance floor, lighting etc.). I made multiple requests to see the décor options she had available so I could finalize my tablescape vision, and was told that I could view them in their warehouse in Oct the day of our tasting, didn't happen. Now just weeks before my wedding in November, I still haven't received any confirmation regarding flowers, staging, dance floor, lighting, or their optional décor items! I sent another text asking to confirm flowers on November 1st, she responded that she would confirm that following day. A week goes by and still no follow up. I request to set another phone call, she responded 5 days later, we set a time to chat, she never called. Now just 3 weeks before my wedding, I still don't have any quote for lighting, staging, dance floor, or flowers! Not to mention, I had to send pictures of my vision multiple times (why did I work so hard on my pinterest board??). Finally, on November 22, two weeks before my wedding, I receive a quote for the rental items previously mentioned and flowers which resulted in an increase of approx.. $10,000 to our final invoice!! Because she waited until last minute to provide me with this quote, I had literally no time to get other quotes, and had to just eliminate a lot of what I wanted. Upon expressing my frustration of the lack of communication and the pressure placed on upon me due to limited timing, she used the excuse that "no one is responding, because they are so busy"; keep in my mind that she had MONTHS to receive these quotes but SHE waited last minute to confirm them. I ended up reaching out to the rental company she was using for the dance floor and lighting, and immediately got a response and a new quote that was $1,000 less! That turned out to be the best decision, because working directly with this rental company was a breeze and the responded to me IMMEDIATELY. 2. On my original signed contract, the invoice delineated bartender costs as $55/unit. On my final invoice, the cost increased to $275/unit. 3. On the original signed contract, the invoice delineated set up/breakdown cost as $0. This was consistent with their website and contract stating that set up and breakdown was included and at no additional cost. However, on my final invoice my set up/breakdown cost was now $525. Trinity stated that the cost was "always" $500, and that she only charged an additional $25 for the extra roses and 5 extra people, which is a frankly a complete lie. I saved pdf's of all the invoices, including the original one signed in June and all the subsequent versions up until the final invoice provided on Dec. 7th. It went from $0, to $300, to $525, with the latter increased price only appearing on the FINAL invoice I received. 4. On the day of my wedding, not only did Trinity's team arrive 2 hours late to set up (Trinity herself didn't get there till much later even), but multiple of these extra helpers were kids! There were two young girls setting up the décor for my reception tables, with no direction mind you. Absolutely unacceptable. 5. In addition, I bought hundreds of candles for my tablescape décor and was very clear of my vision and adamant that I wanted a lot of candles to be placed on the tables; Trinity ignored my request, stating "she didn't want to overload the tables". So instead, my round tables had maybe 4-5 candles and looked pathetic, and wasted my money due to numerous unused candles! ...see wedding wire for full review.
