We can't attest to the food, but our experience with the service was terrible. We got seated and started looking at the menu, 29 minutes later had still not seen a server. The restaurant was not full, and 4 waitresses/waiters had walked by multiple times avoiding all eye contact. Finally after 34 minutes of being avoided we decided to leave and go somewhere else . read more

Drove down from Billings for breakfast, and will do it again soon! I ordered the Cross Country Skillet which was full of fresh vegetables, so delicious! My husband has the "Alison's Favorite" which he said was also very good. Knocked a star due to our waters being empty a majority of time, so service was a little bit lacking sitting up at the bar. Food tastes good albeit a bit overpriced for the portions you get (see 1/2 sandwich at the bottom in the pic, that was $12). There is an older waitress there who treated us less warmly than the other patrons. The only difference between us and them was the melanin in our skin . read more

We didn't get a chance to try the food, but this review is regarding the service. We were staying at the hotel and we were looking forward to grabbing breakfast before we headed to the airport. We knew it was popular, so we were happy when the hostess eventually showed up after about 10 mins and told us 25 min wait. We asked about sitting at the counter if something opened up (we're a party of 2), and she said no, because the kitchen is backed up. After waiting about 50mins, people that just walked in asked about the counter and were seated immediately. We talked to her after they were seated and she just said, "oh when you asked the kitchen was backed up". I got notification our table was ready about 20 mins later but we had already left. The bartender was also rude the night before when my husband ordered a cocktail, so while we love the hotel, I think we're done with this place. read more

We were hesitant to come in after reading the recent "slow service" reviews, but that was not our experience at all and I'm glad we went. When entering from the street directly into the restaurant, simply make your way to the hostess station. We were in and out within a hour, and a great breakfast! read more

We were looking forward to enjoying breakfast at Marli's. Entered from the well marked corner and found ourselves smack in the middle of diners and tables. We stood awkwardly for a few minutes looking for someone to greet us. Finally another diner said there was another entrance in the hotel lobby and we should go check in there. There was no signage to guide us but we appreciated the heads up. No one was at the station but we were soon greeted by a lovely very young woman. I will say she was probably inappropriately dressed to hostess in a nicer hotel setting ( very short shorts, tennis shoes and a casual top) Nevertheless she was very pleasant and welcoming. Our server was a young man. He didn't introduce himself so we didn't get a name. We began to look at the menus and he asked what we would like to drink. We asked for a coffee and a coke. He didn't even look up, he just said NOPE! In a very loud voice. We were startled as were other diners near us, and then he said one word, "Pepsi". I was so surprised I just said thanks, I'm good. He just turned and walked away saying nothing. We both just kind of sat there agape. My husband paused for a moment and then stood up and followed him and said "I 'll take that coffee to go." He just said sure and we paid for the coffee and left. The whole thing was so surprisingly rude, it ruined our morning for a bit. We travel and dine out frequently and have never had that kind of experience. Guess it's just not for us. read more

Ate here recently not very impressed. Server was a vegetarian so they couldn't offer any opinions on menu items. Ribeye steaks were very fatty and encircled with a ribbon of mash potatoes, maybe a couple bites. French dip was so-so, Black Canyon remains the best in town. Walleye fillet was marginal, looked more like a perch fillet. read more

Food can be inconsistent depending on the Chef. I was a big fan of the walleye fish n chips when they first opened. It has gone through several variations of cuts, size and quality. They are now serving the fillets with pin bones in place. Totally unacceptable. Those are either a cheaper cut or a lazy chef. Regardless, it doesn't belong at a place like Marlo's. Other's have brought it up to me unsolicited, so I know it's impacting business. read more

Went for breakfast. We were seated right away but service was very slow. Loved the history on the walls, it made the wait less annoying. Our server was great once she showed up. Seems like maybe they were a little understaffed. Regardless, the food was very good and we wouldn't hesitate to return when we come back to the area. read more

We recently had prime rib at Marli's (available most Friday nights) and it was absolutely outstanding! Our server, Kayla, was great, and Alex the bartender is a delight! The prime rib was perfectly done and a generous portion - very reasonable, since we were able to have another meal out of it. Stopped by for a cocktail last night after a great dinner at Carbon County Steakhouse. They were very busy in the dining room and bar. We waited for a while at the bar and Neil came over to take our order he made a fantastic dirty martini for me and for the hubs made him one of the best old fashions he has ever had. The main bartender was fun to watch making drinks. It was a great way to end our evening in Red Lodge. read more

Stumbled upon Marli's on our last night in Red Lodge...Very quaint...Waitress was friendly...Drinks were very good...we had fish and chips and the Walleye dinner....definitely loved the Walleye...also got a slice of the meatloaf which had an incredible sauce on it....came home and tried to recreate that sauce it was so delicious...if we ever venture back to Red Lodge, Marli's will be on our list.... read more

This place sucks. I wish I hadn't have grown up eating good food. Another mediocre restaurant from Red Lodge "Hospitality" Group. Milk the tourists for all they have got and screw the locals. What a joke. Heather smells like cheap cigarettes and runs a Micky Mouse beverage program. Martinis aren't shaken cold and they made the worst French 75 in history history of the world. A french 75 is a "fancy drink" in Red Lodge but if you don't know how to make a standard simple cocktail you are unhirable. Makes you think.... what if their sister restaurant Bogart's doesn't actually make "world famous margaritas." Hahahahahahahahahahahha read more

After years of having a stuffy, hit-or-miss, dark and unwelcoming restaurant, the Pollard now boasts one the best restaurants in town! The decor is welcoming, the drinks are outstanding and the food is consistently wonderful. From the bacon wrapped shrimp app to the mushroom ravioli to the signature marscapone parfait dessert, the entire menu is delicious. The servers are welcoming and informed. We stumbled upon this wonderful bar and restaurant! Such a great surprise! The bartender was an amazing mixologist and really took pride in his craft. We could have tried their diverse menu of drinks all evening. We had some fabulous appetizers, and decided to stay for dinner. A great variety of classics, but also a fresh and classy.
