We didn't receive a call till the next day at 9:30am that they will be delivered and didn't arrive till 12pm. The whole attitude of this shop is as if they're doing you a favor. Not very apologetic at all. There definitely needs to be more training in customer service and communication. Regardless if your business is slammed with holiday orders, it's not your customers issue. This place has been in business long enough to properly project their orders and need for delivery. This was not the first occurrence with them.

Yesterday my friend and I visited Rosewood farm in Boerne, TX to make our own perfume…read more Rosewood farm is a very unique place where the owner hosts perfume and candle classes. This farm is actually her home, and the classes take place on a separate building within the farm. The place is super cute and it can only host a very small group of people, so appointments are needed. As soon as we walked in, she greeted us and made us feel right at home. She had a bottle of prosecco and also some small bites for us. To start she asked to go over all the oil scents and pick all the ones we liked. From there, we started to experiment and mixing different scents to make our own. I don't want to give it all in because the experience is very cool and something that I would recommend as a couples date or with girlfriends. At the end, we both took our own fragrance in a small concentrate bottle. She suggested for us to save the fragrance "equation" that we did, just in case we needed a refill and she could make it for us instead of trying to guess the quantities of each scent. This was an awesome experience and I would love to come back and make a candle or something else!

The cacti and succulent selection was more than decent with some reasonably priced. They had a few large (gallon or more) sized cactus that were expensive but they were large varieties. But, it's basically that (although there wasn't much of it yet, just some flowers to see) and garden decor, pots, gifts, wine, pickled things, plants and LOTS of wildflower seeds to plant at home. The plants, some were decently priced, most were a little pricier. Just depends on which ones. Majority of the ones we wanted were a little better price wise vs going to home depot, at least we think so! We walked around the adventure trail (since it was free) to get some steps in and have the kids burn some of their energy out while roaming around (minus my toddler, she would want to run away and fast haha so I changed my mind on that idea). The trail itself was open, spacious and a great way to get some fresh air. You can be lucky enough to catch some glimpses of some flowers that could be sprouting out even though there's not much! The shops: they had different types of store fronts, one for food/snack/pickled items alongside a small cafe where you can order beer and wine, another for more accessories, clothing and some planting items too! They had standing wine tasting area near the trail walking area if you want to walk around with some wine. Parking: so much parking, so definitely not to worry although I can image it being more difficult when the flowers really bloom in their field.

All of this with absolutely incredible holiday decor. Of course, they carry other items but it's primarily Christmas. There is so much to see! Everything is laid out and on display in a welcoming and dare I say enticing manner. Enticing in the sense that like me, you'll want to buy everything. They've got nutcrackers and traditional decor as well as not so traditional. I bought a cool ornament for my mom's birthday in July. Because you know, Christmas in July. Service was impeccable. When we walked in we saw military helmets in a glass case, and lots of large, heavy furniture. The facebook page said they were a women's boutique, but the sign said decor, antiques and found items. We saw some women's clothing and some jewelry but for the most part there was an eclectic mix of altered art, some at very high prices, well out of our price range in any case, and miscellany. We really could not figure out what kind of store this is hoping to be. Because they are new I am giving an extra star to give them time to see what inventory moves and define themselves. My companions pretty quickly decided they weren't interested in anything, but I found a basket of some kind of floral head band fairy crown things and decided on one for my granddaughter. At the same time my friends found a new made wooden box with some folk art Noah's Ark scene painted on it. The price was about $35 so I decided to buy it as well. Afterwards I felt like it was kind of an impulse buy, but I did my part to patronize the new business. This store needs a bit of time to get organized and figure out what will sell in Comfort. I've been antique shopping in Comfort for 35 years, and this shop can fill a void from all the shops that have closed their doors in the past decades and moved to antiques malls. But not yet.
