Such a unique idea and store. I've never see anything like this. So many varieties and flavors. Lots of samples. I appreciate the small gift packs too that offer small jars with a few varieties. I bought one for me to try a few varieties. I also bought larger jars of peppercorns, and the cowboy salt and pepper. If you keep the glass jar and bring it back, they will refill it for 50% off. That's great!!!! They were so friendly here and helpful too. It's behind the Main Street, so you have to look for the store, but worth the extra effort.

Since nothing else will compare in your adventures!! The store offers an impressive selection of gourmet foods, sauces, seasonings, and specialty products that are perfect for gifts and/or enjoying at home. My favorite purchases were the balsamic vinaigrettes. I also enjoyed sampling the various jellies, jams, and dip mixes before making my selections. The spice rubs and seasonings were another standout, offering unique flavors that are perfect for grilling and cooking. The staff was super friendly (Mason was my most favorite employee) he was patient and opened jars that weren't readily available. I ended up buying jars of everything he opened for me! What a great salesman and wonderful human! It was a memorable experience. If you're visiting Fredericksburg, Lock, Stock & Barrel is a must-stop destination for high-quality Texas-made products and unique gourmet treats. I look forward to returning and trying even more of their wonderful offerings. This was a super positive experience! May 2026

Overall Lock Stock & Barrel is a store that has a variety of local and specialty foods with friendly people that work there.

I've…read morebeen to a similar class at Central Market in Dallas and had a good time and was excited to try this class. It turned out being 50% hands off, as the first half of the class, we spent watching the instructor tell us what we're supposed to do while she either demoed, or it was already done for us, or we passed a bowl around a group of 14 and took turns mixing. She said it was time for a break after about 45 mins in and I was thinking 'a break from what?, we hadn't even done anything yet'. Additionally, she spent a good amount of the time selling the Breville appliances we were using. Upon return from break, we were divided into groups and we made the pasta (running it through the device to make flat noodles as it was already made into dough for us). There was a sense of accomplishment from making the pasta. I do wish it was much more hands on as that's how I learn best. Lastly, there was an obvious and awkward dynamic between the instructor and her assistants. Every time she politely asked one of them for help with something, one specific assistant would retort "hold on, let me finish this." Or she would take her sweet time and had a clear attitude with body language and facial expressions. We all talked about it during our break. It was so obvious that either there was some sort of argument or fight prior to the class or they just really didn't like the instructor. It was obvious to all the participants and it felt uncomfortable at times. I even offered that assistant some of our wine though she politely declined. It was definitely unprofessional behavior. We were so excited for this class. So much potential given the brand. A real let down. In fact some of the nice people we met recommended some other cooking classes that were much more hands on and a good time. I don't recommend.

We were extremely pleased with our decision to use Legacy for our kitchen remodel!…read more After moving into our home eight years ago, we had a general idea on what we wanted to do with the redesign, but still needed help with completing our dream kitchen. The first step was Legacy sending out their design consultant, Ashley. She came out and spent enough time to not only take measurements, but also to fully understand how we use our kitchen and what style we were looking for. After a few consultations and a visit to their showroom for final specifications, she stayed involved throughout the project to ensure our satisfaction. Our project was a complete overhaul of our kitchen, and it took about eight weeks. One of their rules is that they don't start the job until ALL of the material has been received. Additionally, there were only 2-3 days that some work wasn't being performed. Their project supervisor was Augustine, who also was very diligent in overseeing the project. He would continuously stop by to monitor the progress as well as being accessible by phone/text during all times of the day, responding to questions and requests. The team was very attentive to minor adjustments due to construction 'discoveries' and ensuring that no shortcuts were taken. A special recognition to Cody, who we voted their MVP, as he is a very talented person who is skilled in most all of the trades. At the end of the project, there were only a few things on the punch-list. A couple of them were so minor that we felt a little silly in asking for the resolution, but they handled them without issue and made sure that we were 100% satisfied. While there are other companies out there that would quote a lower up-front price, we are quite certain that we would have been less than satisfied, and still probably had spent the same or more money in over-runs. We highly recommend Legacy for solid consideration for any of your remodeling projects!

However, after several discussions and e-mails with different Legacy personnel (including the Owner), I was convinced choosing Legacy was the right thing to do! And was I NOT disappointed...every aspect of dealing with the Legacy Team Members (Mark and his assistant Daniel) doing our bathroom renovation was a pleasure. Not only did Mark and Daniel's workmanship exceed our expectations, they were respectful of my home and family and the knowledge of their craft was top notch! They were honest, forthright, and a pleasure to deal with! The excellence in workmanship and quality of the Legacy personnel has been absolutely FIRST RATE! We had a problem with one of the Cabinets that was installed at the very end of the project (not done by our primary crew). Legacy immediately agreed the workmanship did not meet their expected standards and they are in the process of correcting the problem. I would definitely recommend Legacy to anyone planning a major bath or kitchen reno. Our Bath renovation involved several complex tasks which I would not trust to a General Contractor. They executed each task flawlessly. 1) Legacy needed to add a new 3" drain for the Jacuzzi tub which required cutting several feet out of the foundation which included tension cables. 2) the flooring tile involved laying them down at a 45 degree angle, with varying patterns. 3) the floor of the shower was a very complex mosaic pattern which had to be laid piece by piece and was done to perfection. It took the guys almost 1 hour/sq ft to lay. We will definitely use Legacy on our next renovation!
