I want to warn others considering this firm. I was contacted multiple times by different attorneys here about my employment case, over the phone and by email. They seemed engaged and interested, walked me through what to expect, and even sent over a representation agreement for me to sign. Based on those conversations, they also advised me on specific steps to take with my employer's HR department. Then, after all of that, communication changed direction. I was suddenly told they would not be taking my case after all, with no clear explanation for the reversal. Just left to figure out the rest on my own, unrepresented, after having already acted on their advice. If a firm isn't sure they'll take your case, that should be communicated early, not after they've given you specific instructions and a sense of commitment. Gray Brotman was my lawyer due to a car accident in February 2020. He is very smart and kind and works very hard on your case. First off he always makes sure you are ok which I think is very important in a lawyer. He explains everything to you thoroughly and doesn't make you feel bad for asking lots of questions. These lawyers are amazing! I met Gary Brotman before he joined the firm. His attitude and demeanor is so professional! My favorite thing about him is his patience and his ability to translate from scary law speak to something I can understand. He helped me write a demand letter, which apparently has a lot of requirements. He never once got frustrated with me. He spent a long time listening and taking what I said, and making it fit with the law. In hindsight, I realized that I made the poor guy listen to buckets more than needed....it wasn't really relevant. But kudos to him for being so great! This patience and his caring attitude is why I followed him to Marquee. First I want to say that the office staff is very friendly. When I call, someone answers and will transfer me to who I need. I've called other attorneys and the secretaries can have huge attitudes, so it's a huge relief calling here. There are two other attorneys. Shawn and Poya (I can't remember their last names). I love them almost as much as Gary. All of the attorneys in the firm clearly respect their clients. I've can ask any one of them a number of legal questions and know that I'm getting my money's worth. That being said, I think their prices are pretty reasonable. Especially for the services they provide. I've talked Marquee with others and realize how lucky I am to have found such a caring firm. I never feel rushed to get off the phone (and not in a sleazy trying to milk an hourly kind of way). I know they have bigger and better clients than my occasional inquiry, but it doesn't matter. They still are there for me. My friends that I've sent there are just as happy.
