These guys are in high demand, so it took some effort to get the initial meeting. But when we signed the contract, they managed our project and produced a finished product with real expertise. They worked well with us in the design process, patient and accommodating, so that we got the maximum efficiency for the space. The central element of our concept was an oversized single bay under mount clay sink. They worked well with our countertop subcontractor to ensure fit and stability were incorporated into the cabinet during fabrication. It came out excellent. They really delivered at critical points in my construction schedule and everything came as designed, on time, and all of the appliances fit tits on the money. They did make one error though: They forgot to charge us for the custom dovetailing on the 15 drawers! Overall the product was top quality, they always delivered on time, and worked tirelessly to make sure we were satisfied with the quality. We decided to go with MCC (Adrian) because of a recommendation. He made many promises to us, but unfortunately he did NOT keep them. From day 1, when i asked him if he makes his own drawers and doors? His answer was yes to both, we found out that he did NOT make either one of them. I have no issue of him having another company make his drawer boxes (many cabinet makers do) but being dishonest about it is not right. He also did NOT make the doors and drawer covers for Inset cabinets, which is NOT a good idea. Inset cabinets are more difficult to make, so you have to be precise with the boxes and doors. He built the boxes but many of the boxes had issues, not being squared, some of the frames were bowing, because the wood was not thick enough. His guys try to fix the uneven gaps by sanding the frames or door/drawer covers. According to him they used the wrong screws for the drawers, which caused the boxes to be scratched on the sides, which meant they all had to be sanded and refinished, but I believe the reason they did NOT open and close properly was because he did NOT factor in 5/8 inch thick drawers vs. 1/2 inch. They installed a cabinet before the counter top was installed, which meant they had to uninstall it, which meant the plywood was damaged. They were many issues like this, but I still try to work things out with him, but when he tells us that we are crazy, that was the last straw. I have brought in 3 or 4 different people and they all have told us the same thing, that the gaps are uneven and some of the boxes are not square and etc. So now we are actually have to replace parts of the frame, and redoing doors and drawer covers. By the way who puts in 18 nails on a drawer cover, attaching to the drawer box? plus 2 screws!!! A side note, so he had made us Sample stains for the kitchen cabinets, and I asked him to make us extra 2 quarts of the stain we liked for our Front door, not only he charged me for it, which was fine, but his stain didn't bother to make any kind of notes (Formula) so the stain came out totally different color, and he had to redo it, and did not match the original color. read more

I just got my kitchen cabinets installed by Marquez's Custom Cabinet yesterday and I'm in love with my kitchen~!!!!~~ I knew I wanted a Transitional Kitchen with a dark wood finish. I reviewed so many magazines, cabinet catalogs, Houzz and Pinterest. My friend had her kitchen cabinets built by Marquez's Custom Cabinet and lets say it was amazing, so I got a bid from Marquez. I got a few bids from America Semi-Custom lines, Canadian lines and other custom cabinet shops, I choose Marquez Custom Cabinet. There price was competitive and service was exceptional. I'm very detailed and micromanage my home remodel projects, and Marquez quickly responds to my texts, emails and calls. I was asking for a lot of details that a Cabinet Center might miss, therefore I preferred to go Marquez who is all about detail. Let me start, I wanted my stove exactly centered (semi custom lines couldn't not give me with the standard box sizes), my sink exactly centered to the window (semi custom lines couldn't not give me with the standard box sizes), I wanted no fillers, 9' cabinets, 2.5" top molding, 1.5" rail on the upper cabinet, inbeded side panels, 2" of space under the upper cabinet for my hidden outlets, cooking utensil pullout, lazy susan, baking tray area, spice rack pullout, custom utensil drawer, hidden sink trays, raised panel door with a specific bead, 5 piece drawer front with the same bead, full overlay doors and custom stain. I'm a woman who knows what they want, well I spent 6 months before I moved forward with the kitchen. Moving forward, Marquez's Custom Cabinets brought my vision to reality and was very patient working with me throughout the whole process. I felt bad they had to deal with a pregnant anxious woman the last few months, but they always responded to all my questions quickly and were always professional. They aren't out of my sight yet, we will hire them for our two bathrooms in the future and any custom bookshelves. I will post the pictures soon of my kitchen! I just completed a remodel of my home and had my kitchen and bathroom cabinets done by Adrian and his crew. I am so glad that I had them do the cabinetry and the install outside of the scope of the general contract. It was a big project and at first I was a little concerned about how everything would be coordinated between the general contractor and someone outside of his control. I had a home built in Arizona and had some issues before with the general and outside contractors but Adrian was very professional and things went well. We had a few issues after the installation with things not fitting correctly and when I called and told Adrian about the problems he immediately sent his crew back to correct things. This was very impressive because I have had problems in the past of people making excuses and blaming others for problems, especially after they've gotten paid for the job. I was thinking about giving them four stars because it takes three months lead time for them to deliver after you place your order but now I know why they are so busy.
