I am currently in the process of doing a full kitchen renovation with Mr. Cabinet Care and I am very happy with my experience. I will give another update once the project is complete, estimated in 6 weeks. I initially requested in home estimates from couple of different contractors through Yelp for a project I thought would be less than $10k. One of the other companies with positive reviews straight out rejected me because they said the project would be more than $10k. Mr. Cabinet Care, on the other hand, was friendly and professional despite of my quote expectation project price less than $10k. Mr. Cabinet Care showed up on time, carefully measured my kitchen, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly before giving me an estimate of around $45k. What impressed me the most was how prepared and transparent they were from the very beginning. Even though my original budget expectation was less than $10k, they never dismissed me or made me feel like I wasn't worth their time like the other company. Instead, Mr. Cabinet Care came with a well-organized folder containing the company's history, license information, areas of expertise, and references from previous clients who could be contacted for verification. Everything was explained in a way that I could understand, and he took time to build trust and rapport with me, I felt comfortable and confident to put the deposit to move forward with the renovation. After the first initial deposit, the second deposit due on the day of the surveyor came and remeasured and confirmed the project. That was the big deposit around mid $20k. Then after that, the third deposit due on the first demolition day $14k. I think the rest will be once its all done. I'll keep Yelp updated. On the first week of demo, Alfredo and Ruben came and removed everything. It was awesome. First day and all the all cabinets and drawers already out of the way. They worked so fast, efficient and clean. They covered the floor with tape, post the project's map and plan on the wall, and very respectful of my home. Third day of demo, all the wall had been patched and ready for the next step, the second week. Second week, the lead installer, David came and introduced himself. He worked so hard from 7 am till 3 pm. The field supervisor also came to introduce himself, Fausto. They were so professional and worked efficiently. At the end of the day, David would left my kitchen clean, all the debris were vacummed, and all of his tools and equipment were neatly placed on the table for the next day. Okay, this is where I stop, because I have to wait for at least 7 days for the company to make the custom made granite top. And I will update my review once the project is done. Another thing that I appreciated, all the staff came in the company's Tshirts, in the company's car/ truck. omg even their working truck was neat inside. Anyway, it was just neat, I appreciate that. On the first week of demo, when I had a misunderstanding with what they were going to do, I called the office, and Christin, project coordinator was so helpful and patience in updating and explaining to me what happened. I had an issue with my current install, I was seeking guidance because I now have to hire another company to paint the inside cabinets. It is what it is, no problem. Note: if you are re-facing your cabinets, this company does not do the painting whatsoever. This company does not paint. You will have to hire an additional outside painter if needed like I had to do. Mr. Cabinet Care completed the refacing of two of my built in cabinets (hallway linen cabinet as well as shelves and cabinets in my home office) yesterday. Jose Ortiz was the installer. As usual, he did a great job. A lot of attention to detail to make sure the job was perfect. He was very respectful and polite. We had dark, dingy, kitchen cabinets which made the whole kitchen look dull and dark. The cabinets themselves were in good condition but desperately needed a facelift. Marcos came along and advised refacing in a lighter color to brighten the kitchen. Oh my goodness, it looks like a different kitchen! New cabinet doors and hardware, pullout drawers replaced in one cabinet, new facings. Jose Ortiz worked non-stop, barely took a lunch break for the 5 days it took to complete the job. I had my cabinets resurfaced 10 years ago in December 2015 with Mr Cabinet care. So glad I chose Mr. cabinet care instead of Reborn Cabinets since Reborn recently went out of business! Some of the hinges started to come apart over the last year. Since everything was still under their 20 year warranty, I called them to have the broken hinges replaced. After some initial difficulty schedule a day that they were available to come out to Riverside, we settled on a date. Fausto came out and took a few minutes to fix the hinges along with repositioning the current ones so they were not on the bottom and easily damageable. He called to see if he could come earlier, which was perfect. This company definitely stands by their product, especially 10 years later. Mr. Cabinet Care is OUTSTANDING! We were so worried about choosing a company that was reliable and did quality work for our kitchen remodel and they exceeded our expectations in every way! We are not the easiest customers because we are super picky but also know very little about this stuff, so it took us a lot of time to research every detail and figure out exactly what we wanted and they were so patient with us through the entire process! We began in August with a stop by their beautiful showroom after a recommendation from my Aunt who had used them recently. From the moment we walked in the door, the receptionist was so friendly and helpful and we wasted no time in scheduling an appointment for a free in-home estimate. Design Consultant, Juan, came out to do preliminary measurements, discuss what we wanted, and give us a quote. He spent a few hours in our home going over options and answering our questions and was so professional and helpful! We were thankful he wasn't pushy in any way, and after learning they custom build everything, so there would be no wasted space with fillers that other companies use with prefabricated cabinets, we knew this was the right choice for us! Juan sent us a preliminary rendering, 8 oversized 11x17" pages and then there was lots of back and forth by email and phone and in-person meetings in their showroom as we figured out exactly what we wanted. I think we had a total of 5 revisions! Juan was very responsive, helpful, & patient throughout this process that took about two months because of US! The next step was to have even more precise measurements done by Surveyor, Nathan. Again, very professional, helpful, and patient! He came to our home to do this, which was followed with lots of back and forth emails, calls, and meetings to answer our questions and help us finalize our design. This took almost an additional three months and about 10 sets of revisions to drawings because we went through each set with a fine tooth comb, as we figured out exactly what we wanted and didn't. By the time we signed off on everything in December, we were confident with the design and excited for them to begin production and schedule the demo/installation! In the meantime, they sent us to meet with the tile company they work with to choose our backsplash. (I will write a separate review, but also extremely happy with them! Kelli, Erica, & Jen in the shop really helped me so much and saved me from making some really bad choices. Super friendly and really know their stuff! Excellent installer, Edvin, & field supervisor, Claude)! Next, three full days of DEMO by team of very hard workers: Ruben (Lead), Miguel, Alfredo, & Fausto! These men did such an excellent job in every way! They were professional, friendly, & highly skilled, and by the time they finished, our kitchen was a blank canvas with new electrical outlets, wiring, and updated plumbing finishes. Next we had a planned work stop to remove old wallpaper and address a separate plumbing issue and it was during this time that Mr. Cabinet Care delivered our cabinets! It felt like Christmas morning! An entire truck full that filled our garage! Armani was very skilled at unloading and fitting everything in the limited space we have! Meanwhile, Mr. Cabinet Care was able to source the quartz slab we fell in love with and had our heart set on, even though it was on back order. Now it was time for the installation team: Ruben (same as for the Demo days) with Rommy, Saul, & Jose. These guys are also extremely professional, friendly, & skilled and worked so hard for 4 full days! They installed all the cabinets/drawers, knobs/pulls hardware, under-cabinet lighting, & sink! During this time, they sent the stone vendor to our home to create a template for our quartz countertop. (Very happy with this company as well & will write a separate review). By now, our kitchen is almost complete, but my husband basically went over everything with a magnifying glass and had a few things he wanted addressed so Field Supervisor, Fausto, returned to take care of every last thing! Fausto is a SUPER STAR! Next, the counter and backsplash were installed. Field Supervisor, Claude, delivered the supplies in advance and confirmed plans with us. Then, Edvin, spent two full days, installing the backsplash perfectly! It's time for the final touches! Mr. Cabinet Care sent Jose & Alex out for a full day (along with Supervisor, Fausto) to install kitchen sink, potfiller, all our appliances, custom drawer inserts, etc. These guys worked so hard! Solid FIVE stars!!! To go into extreme detail- our journey started out as a horror story and Mr. Cabinet Care was our hero. We had no idea what refacing was and we were just exiting Costco when we were approached by sales people promoting a different company, without knowing any better we had them come out for a quote and was pressured into signing on the spot. It was a nightmare trying to exit the contract but when we finally did we knew we had to do the bidding right. So we contacted three different refacing companies and Mr. Cabinet Care shined above all others in price, service, and warranty. Scott was an amazing sales person that was extremely knowledgeable about cabinets and the options we could explore. Kevin was our surveyor and he corresponded with me throughout our project as a 2nd project manager in addition to the people who called weekly to give us updates on scheduling.JIM, our installer was amazing. He showed up bright and early every morning, did a spectacular job with extreme attention to detail, and BONUS he was very mindful of my two elderly dogs who refused to stay locked up in a room and would wander around and sometimes near the work site. This review is two-fold: Mr. Cabinet Care refaced my Kitchen cabinets nine plus years ago, and everything is fine after all this time. No issues with the product and workmanship, so i would definitely recommend refacing as opposed to replacing if you are looking to save some $. The only issue I've experienced in all this time was one of the doors below the sink needed replacing due to water damage, I was aware that this type of damage was not going to be covered under warranty, especially after all this time. So I expected I would have to pay for the door replacement. I contacted the company and explained my situation and was advised the door would be replaced at no cost to me. The technician arrived today and replaced not only the door but also the hinges. Having hosted the HGTV program My House is Your House, we have worked with and vetted many cabinet builders across San Diego and Southern California. It was a colossal mistake to choose Mr. Cabinet Care for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project in 2025. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Mr. Cabinet Care. We purchased custom cabinet drawer fronts that were supposed to be high-quality, but they arrived with noticeable gaps that caused two major issues: The drawers and doors did not close correctly due to poor alignment. The construction allowed food debris to collect in the gaps, making it impossible to clean properly. This was not an issue of care or maintenance--it was a clear defect in workmanship. When we contacted the company to request a warranty repair, our concerns were completely dismissed. Instead of addressing the issue we reported--poorly constructed drawer rails trapping debris--they shifted focus to something unrelated: a blue residue that they claimed was present. We never saw or discovered this residue ourselves. It was not present when we returned to the property after Mr. Cabinet Care inspected it and denied our warranty request. This led us to believe the denial of warranty work was partially based on this irrelevant "blue material," which distorted the facts and distracted from the real issue: the poor construction of the drawer rails. In addition to this blue material being a cause for warranty denial (why else was it photographed, then raised/shared with us other than to insult us, mislead us, or otherwise confuse the facts), the operations manager justified the defect by stating in email: "The material you selected, White Oak Select, is naturally prone to expansion and contraction due to environmental factors such as heat and humidity. Upon reviewing the photos taken by the technician, it appears that the issues you are experiencing are likely related to care and maintenance, rather than any manufacturing defect." This excuse is completely unreasonable. The cabinets had only been installed for a few weeks when we noticed the defect, and they were installed during cool weather--not under extreme humidity or heat. Blaming environmental conditions in San Diego for a fundamental workmanship flaw is not just misleading--it's ridiculous. Blaming blue material found, in a high traffic area like a kitchen, where a family resides, is not unreasonable. Again, this was not the basis of the poor workmanship claim by us. But it was a defense (in whole or in part) by the Company to deny our warranty request. Under California law, products like these are covered by warranties ensuring they are fit for their intended purpose. These drawer fronts do not meet that standard, yet Mr. Cabinet Care refused to honor their obligations. If this is how they handle legitimate warranty claims, I can only imagine how they treat other customer concerns. We strongly caution anyone considering working with them. If they are willing to dismiss valid issues and shift blame, you should expect similar treatment if you ever need support. I regret my purchase and will not be using them for any future HGTV projects nor recommending them to any clients or customers. Updated 3/14/25: After further discussion with the company and due to the review above, they have reaffirmed their position that the drawers and rails were constructed to industry standards and that any gaps are considered normal and acceptable. There remains some confusion regarding the blue material referenced during the warranty denial process. The company maintains that it was present upon their inspection, but questions remain regarding: a) why it was referenced as part of the warranty denial, and b) its relevance to our original concern, which was that the drawer rails were too wide, allowing food to enter but making it impossible to clean out. At this time, both parties are assessing potential next steps to determine if anything further can or should be done to address the gaps. The statements made here reflect my own firsthand experience and opinions based on direct interactions with the company. Any attempts to discourage or silence this feedback through cease and desist letters or legal threats will not deter me from expressing my personal experiences and perspectives. read more

The scope of our current project was the kitchen, secondary bathroom, hallway cabinet and the small downstairs 1/2 bathroom. We chose to give our business again for a reason. We toured their factory before the 1st project and were extremely impressed with the manufacturing process. They provide free estimates and bring a display of their products. Multiple options were discussed and we were able to do things never considered before. Proper refacing requires skilled and attention to detail craftsmanship. Javier was such a person. He is an excellent representative for Mr Cabinet. 12 years ago the job was very well done. Javier managed to surpass it. When he was done, our dark and outdated cabinets were transformed into a thing of beauty. The quality of the new doors and drawers is quite good. Wood boxes with dove tailed construction and top notch hardware for easy opening and slow closing is such a convienvce. Placing slide outs really helps to easily get access to things that would be buried in the back normally. To say we are satisfied is understated. Sometimes total cabinet replacement isn't really an option. I would recommend considering refacing. Mr Cabinet Care definitely filled our needs. read more

Absolutely recommend Mr. Cabinet Care. With a lot of research we used Mr Cabinet to replace our aging cabinets. This was 5 years ago, we used them again in 2023 to replace the kitchen in my son's house with 3 small children; 2, 4, and 6 years old. The cabinets still look and work like brand new. We had a small - huge to my wife- problem on our kitchen cabinets over the years with some paint issues. In July 2025, with the help of Mike, Fausto, and Jose they remounted my sink which the quartz company had installed incorrectly. Wow!!! 5 years after- they replaced some damaged wood, and put on a new cabinet front. With Mike's approval Fausto and worked a full day to complete a job so we did not have to wait a week for them to reinstall the sink. I do not typically write reviews, but the service department at Mr. Cabinet Care is one of the best I have ever worked with; in 40 years- property management, rental repairs, home owner, and a retired fireman- I realize 90% or more is the SERVICE- things can go wrong and items break, to have a company to say 100% warranty and return to fix is Amazing!
