We stayed there Friday night because our daughter was flying in at 5am Saturday. The card reader didn't seem to want to read our card. My husband went out to our car to get something and tried the card on the side door access and it didn't work. The front desk clerk said we have trouble with it. The next morning my husband wanted to make sure the card worked before we left and it didn't. Stopped on our way out, told the clerk our cards weren't working, he gave 2 more. We pick our daughter up, come back so she could sleep a couple hours and the cards didn't work AGAIN. The front desk sent a gentleman up who said the battery was dead in the unit, and maintenance would have to charge it, and they would let us have a different room. We told him our luggage was in the room. It took 3 hours before we were able to get in our room. All we got was a half sorry and no one seemed to care. I would not stay here again until they get their act together. read more

Our first impressions of this hotel were great. Very modern rooms, new light fixtures, etc. Upon further inspection I realized I was so, so wrong. It started in our room when I realized it didn't look like our room had ever been vacuumed. We randomly found cheerios on the floor. THEN, when we were walking up from the pool my daughter stepped on something SHARP. What I found looked like broken metallic glass, almost like razor blades. ON THE FLOOR! The hallway is DISGUSTING! How hard is it to get someone up here to vacuum? It does look like they've been doing some work down one of the halls but that is no excuse to leave sharp shards of glass everywhere for children to step on. Also, the pool was kind of gross. Scummy looking dark crud all around the inside edges of the pool. And we didn't have but a couple of teeny tiny little towels to dry off with. All in all, the hotel is just kind of...scuzzy. And there's no free wifi which is just silly. The staff is friendly, though. read more

Really impressed with the staff here all around. They were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. Shuttle runs to the airport every 15 minutes during peak times. The common areas, bar & restaurant, pool and gym are all good - especially for airport locations. A great place to stay and if you are stuck at the airport overnight, this would be an oasis! read more

Normally eat business lunch at the hotel restaurant. Lunch buffet used to be incredible. Now over the past year it is sandwiches with one soup & salad. Not good...$9.95. Only reason like to eat here is nice atmosphere & good to bring customers for a conversation but food is not good. read more

They don't even offer coffee or any continental breakfast I mean at least coffee for your hotel guest. I'm staying here for work and there is nothing around here. WORST HOTEL!!! Not clean, No A/C, and terrible service. 1) Originally booked room with double beds for myself and another coworker for a business expo. When we arrived they told us they only had King Sized beds left so we had to take a King bed room. 2) We asked for extra bedding to be brought up to the room and they never brought it. 3) The room was dirty. Hair in the shower and cobwebs all over the walls. 4) Discovered that the A/C was broken in our room and the hotel had nothing to offer us except a portable fan that barely worked. 5) My coworker and I went to what we thought was our expo's free breakfast. Although we both had on our show badges the employees tricked us into paying for our breakfast and claimed that the expo free breakfast was on the other side of the hotel. After explaining what happened to the manager, I was given major attitude and had to argue for several minutes in order to not pay the bill. AND the food was mediocre at best for $36 for breakfast for 2 people. 6) While my coworker and I were packing up our things (at 9am!!!) we get a knock on our door and someone with the hotel staff asked quickly, "When are you checking out?" SO RUDE!!! Check out was at noon. We could very well have still been sleeping. 7) When we checked out, they never asked how our stay was and didn't want to hear the problems we had. I was simply going to suggest they have maintenance look at the A/C and have the cleaning services clean up the cobwebs on the walls and get the hair out of the tub. If you are interested in a hotel with 70s-style furniture (and service), with carpets that appear to have been put there when Jimmy Carter was President, lamps that appear to have been around since before the World War, then this is the place for you. Perhaps the fact that I just left the Hyatt in Columbus (where I paid $50 for one night via Priceline, as opposed to the $125+ paid for this mess of a hotel) is what makes me so disappointed with this hotel. My hotel room features a King-size bed (the good), very poor lighting (think ancient functional lamps with no finesse and feeble incandescent light bulbs giving off shafts of watery yellow light). The wallpaper in the hallways is peeling (as of November 11th 2011), the ice machine did not work (and unlike the Hyatt, there was no fridge in my room!) and worst of all (wait-for-it), on the main desk in the room was a flier that said I had to pay $10 for a day of internet access. Although I had my smartphone and could thus access the internet, I wanted to use my laptop. I called the front desk to complain. They informed me that I need a passcode to access the Wireless internet (and would thus not pay $10) - and they provided said code. Why the confusion? Why not just provide this passcode to every guest as he/she walks through the doors (as I've seen other hotels - such as the Doubletree do!)? Why not remove the confusing fliers that state you need to pay $10? Yesterday, at the Hyatt in Columbus, there was none of this - I used the Wireless internet there for free, no passcodes, no threats to charge me $10, no confusing fliers, etc. There was a lovely fridge, a very large TV (larger and more modern than the one in this dump of a hotel), furniture (yes, sofas!) in my room, ice machines that worked, etc... Next, the ice machine on the 2nd floor was out of ice - just another reason to compound my lack of enthusiasm about this little dump of a hotel. Save yourself the $$$ - go elsewhere. read more

So we stayed in a corner room on the second floor near the Staff's restock room, washer/dryer and elevator/stairs. The noise level of the doors slamming and the carts rolling over the groved floors and the washer and dryer right outside of our room was unbearable. The noise starts at 9am and doesn't end untill around 5 pm. I understand that they are just doing their jobs but the design/location is the problem. Use of the washer and dryer is free, that was a nice touch. There was a vending machine for laundry soap and dryer sheets for $1 in quarters. The TV is impressive and the style of the room was nice. There is a one cup coffee maker with cups, cream, ect. An ironing board and iron, mini fridge, wardrobe and a roomy beautiful spa like shower, the king size bed was too firm for my liking. This room did not include a microwave. The staff is nice and helpful. The Lobby is very fancy and comfortable to hang out/use laptops or whatever you want to do. The pool has a note on the door saying if you swim without at least 5 people at a time a cleaning charge of $100 will be charged to your room. This is a no smoking hotel, there is a $250 cleaning charge if you do. La Rosa's Family Pizzeria is one of the places that will deliver to your room. Very quick delivery, friendly and delicious but that story is for another review. read more

As a frequent business traveler this hotel takes the cake! Booked room online that they didn't have--no concierge lounge service or 2 bathrooms as my booking promised. When speaking to GM, nothing he can do but I'm sorry. Dropped my rate $30 as if that would make me happy. No free wifi and rooms are clean but very outdated. Won't frequent again! read more

Service here is awful!!! We wanted to stay close to the airport for an early morning flight and were sorely disappointed that we picked this property. It wasn't that busy but the front desk staff seemed half asleep. We had breakfast at the restaurant which was subpar. Everything was not refilled and we had to ask for coffee refills. Too many other choices to put up with this from a Marriott property which I have always had much better luck with. read more

Poor customer service. The room was not cleaned the second day we were there. Someone did enter the room when we were gone to take the wash clothes and hand towels. But, they were not replaced. The bath towels were still on the floor. When I called the front desk to replace all the towels, it took 45 minutes before housekeeping showed up. I needed to call the front desk twice before the towels showed up. I asked if checkout can be done in the room on the tv, the answer was yes. Come to find out you can not check your balance or checkout on the tv. When I did checkout early in the morning, the front desk was empty with only a bell to summon service. When the front desk person showed up and asked "how was your stay" I described the issues and was told there is nothing I can do to credit you because you booked on Hotwire and are not a Marriott rewards member. Not sure if this is the way to manage a business. Stay away! read more

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was that the room hadn't been vacuumed and there was some sort of drink spilled on one of the walls. Shortly after that, we discovered the toilet didn't flush and we had to call maintenance. We were not thrilled that the bathroom door was a frosted glass door that did not actually seal. When we went to shower the next day, the shower door would not stay closed. We had to stuff a wash rag between doors to keep it from flooding the floor. For the cost of the room, the lack of free WiFi was disappointing as was the breakfast at $17.00 per person that was nothing more than what one would get for free at other hotels and tasted worse. My mother had an early flight out, so my husband & I booked a room for 3 adults with 2 double beds 2 weeks in advance. Arrived at the hotel and were informed that they were all sold out of the double bed rooms we had booked in advance, but had placed us in a 1 king & 1 sofa bed room. Got up to the room to discover the sofa bed all folded up. We had to pull it out and set everything up ourselves, even though they knew we had 3 people sleeping in there. The sofa bed didn't have any top sheets on it and the pillows were just thrown up in the furthest recesses of the closet so you couldn't even reach them without a chair. There was no blanket at all for the sofa bed, so we had to call down to the desk and ask for one. The vending machine on our floor only accepted $1 bills, but there was no change machine so we had to go down to the lobby and ask the front desk for change. To top it off, we found a disgusting dirty & mildewing washcloth hanging along the top of the shower curtain this morning. Notified the desk again and they made zero attempts to rectify the situation. Will definitely not be back ever again. read more

We arrived from Lexington for a banquet and the first thing we noticed was how clean the rooms were. Nothing over-the-top decor-wise, but very clean. Beds were comfortable, food was good, service was friendly, location was convenient. The banquet halls and meeting rooms were spacious and well-decorated. We only stayed one night, but I would definitely return to this location. read more

I work for the airlines and its not often a hotel goes out of the way on Christmas to offer complimentary omelets.

They should have told me when I booked it that the rooms would be VERY noisy from their big remodeling project. I can't even take a nap from the noise. I called down and they said there was nothing they could do but they could give me airplugs. Then I called 5 minutes later to send up earplugs and they said they don't have any. Don't stay here till construction ends. read more

Great look, not practical. I've stayed here a couple of times for business travel and overall my experiences have been great. The initial reception​ is always great. The common draw down each time is the internet accessibility. They don't provide free WiFi which I think is standard for most hotels now. Furthermore, after you pay for the internet, you get no service. I called front desk who connected me to a support center. I spent the better part of 30 minutes on the phone with support center without a resolution. They said they would call me back in 10 minutes which never happened. I called the front desk again expressing my frustrations since I had work that needed to get done. The attendant told me there are probably other guests streaming content around me which is why my internet is not working and to come down to the business center to do my work. Considering it is now 11PM and I've wasted 2 hours of my time trying to get this issue resolved going to a public place to do my work is not what I want to do. For business travelers I would not recommend this hotel if you have need of internet. Furthermore there was a bag of chips under my bed that was missed during the room cleaning and dead lady bugs on the window sill. I want to love this hotel and can get over the misses in cleaning up but not the lack of Internet especially when you pay for it. read more

Staff was excellent! Can't say enough about them! They are very accommodating to your every need. Because of them is why I gave 4 stars. The hotel just needs to be more focused on little things like the plate and fork with food on it sitting in the hallway across from us for three days. (Checked out today and it was still there) Mattresses were comfortable, but very old comforters with no stuffing in them anymore. Had to re tuck the bed sheets both nights since the bed was not made very well. May sound petty but it is not easy to tuck a sheet comforter another sheet under a mattress that moves around a lot. pillows are what killed it for us. Zero support. Bring your own!! Gym great, pool fine. Breakfast was great in the makeshift concierge lounge. The hotel is under construction so I get things won't be perfect but fix the bed linens and clean up the floors and it would be a great place to stay. We left paying close to 600 for two nights (including food)I would expect a little more for that price. read more

NEVER AGAIN!! Let me start off by saying we are platinum elite Marriott members. We spend MANY nights a year in hotels thanks to my husbands travel schedule. This Marriott is the worst experience we have ever had. They sent up a stained pack n play for my son. I asked for a crib sheet to cover it and they sent up a king size bed sheet. You must be kidding. Then I decided to go to the concierge room for a cup of coffee and to print my boarding passes. The lady that worked there at night was awful. She needs to find a different business. She told me that people only drink cocktails at night and if I wanted coffee to go to downstairs in the restaurant and I can have all the free coffee I want.Must be the scattered dollar bills she had around as hints for a tip for cocktails. You must be kidding. Then she rolled her eyes when I asked if there was a computer in the concierge room to print my boarding pass. This is the ONLY concierge room that I have ever been in that doesn't offer coffee/tea at night. She walked away and told some business people coming in that she saved some plates for them in the back of the good food. Really?! Saving food for your regulars? So other people are stuck with the inedible coconut shrimp. I am not picky about food but that was just gross. The guy standing next to me said he hates coming in here because she is so rude and does that all the time. In a way I was thankful I wasn't crazy and this is how she really is. She told me to come back in 6 months because they are opening an M Club so I can have all my "high class requests." I didn't think tea and coffee were high class but oh well. I went downstairs to the front desk to see about a crib sheet and to tell the manager about the disaster he has upstairs in the concierge room. He told me he would personally find me a crib sheet. I waited 45 minutes and no one ever came to the room. By this time my kid was tired so I called down and was told that they could try and get one from a sister hotel. Seriously? No follow through from the manager!! The place is outdated and needs a renovation. Ms. pleasant told me that it starts July 3rd. I would skip this place. The pictures the hotel posts on here are nothing like it was. They even messed up my Starbucks order at 6:15 this morning. I can't win here. There are many hotels in the area. Not worth being treated so poorly. read more
