I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

The location was great right off the freeway to the right. Price was excellent around 180 with taxes and parking that day. Convenient to gas station and fast food, nice park across the street. Neighborhood could be sketchy at night. We're from Detroit area so NBD to us for frame of reference. Our room was very very clean, unlike some of the other reviews I've read about this location. The beds were very comfortable. One of the reasons I like choice hotels. I've always slept well in their bed's because they're on the softer side with soft pillows and sheets. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And 2 complimentary water bottles. The only reason I don't give 4 stars is when I happen to look in the microwave there was an ingrained bug imprint on the side. I've never seen that before in my life!!! I'm sure those micro waves cost less than 30 bucks! Luckily we didn't need to heat anything and I happen to see it in the morning when actually marveling how clean the room was. The microwave was clean despite the bug impression. Having been a cleaning lady through college and a nurse now. I know if I worked there and did that good of a job cleaning I would throw that microwave out! So whoever deals with that? Lost a star on me. Overall I'd stay there again. Probably not make a vacation out of it. But, it suited our purpose for a fun night. And we slept well. There was an indoor pool that looked nice. We didn't use it. I would only give 5 stars for above and beyond. We've slept in hotels in Corbin that I wouldn't give 1 star to because they were so dirty as we were passing through that are very near the Radisson. We would definitely stay at the Raddison again despite the picture I'll post.

Immediately upon arrival, even though I paid ahead of time weeks ago, I had to pay an additional $200. Then the elevators were old and shook and made so much noise I thought they were going to get stuck constantly. Then, all the hallways smelled like smoke and weed. The room itself wasn't awful but the sheets were stained and the bathroom shower had no curtain or doors so water would get everywhere if you used it. The outlets were so loose it was hard to charge anything and the Internet was so unbelievably slow. We also ordered strawberries and champagne for Valentine's Day. We only got 4 strawberries and 2 of them were rotten. Avoid here at all costs.

I will say, during my stay there was a private event on the second floor (where about 90% of the art is located), so we weren't able to see everything. However, what I did see was absolutely amazing! The room: Clean and very spacious. There was beautiful art on the walls and can we talk about the shower?! They have body parts molded into the tile, which was super cool. The bed was comfortable, no complaints there. Only downside was that the thermostat seemed a bit off, as I had to turn it up higher than expected to feel warm. All staff were extremely kind and helpful my entire stay. I would totally stay here again!

Used to be #1 in customer service in this area. That was then...this is now. New owners, and it…read morejust isn't the same experience. But that isn't the worst part. I valeted my car when we arrived. Expensive but so worth it...or so I thought. The next afternoon we got a call that my car was damaged. They pulled it around and showed me a video of three women obviously over served at a nearby club. When the club closed, there is a video of them hitting my car, then having a real laugh fest. I was told by the hotel manager the garage owner would be able to pull their license plate from their reader on Monday, so I should go ahead and file a police report. Cincinnati Police have more on their plate than a random hit and run in a garage. The hotel manager (Brad Kramer) also said I would be hearing from their Insurance Adjustor within the week. (It's been 2 weeks now and I've already had my car repaired) I have repeatedly tried to contact Mr. Kramer and "crickets." What a surprise. I will leave it for my insurance to resolve this...that's what they do. In the meantime, I am so over the 21C.

Good, but not the best…read more Hotel itself is a work of art, and the rooms are mostly nice enough (bathroom was a bit small, but for an older building that's to be expected). Restaurant is overpriced for what the quality appears to be. Front desk service was awesome in the morning when I checked out...but nowhere to be found when I was checking in. Would I come back? Probably, but it wouldn't be my first pick.

In the first place, as I tend to review high or low, I should note that I'm giving this hotel three…read morestars *for a Hilton.* It's an absolutely lovely place, and I'd completely recommend it to anyone, but again, there are a few things together that made my stay okay rather than stand out. So let's start with the good. It's a wonderful inter-war building with lovely art deco design in the lobby, elevators, hallways, and rooms. Bed is pleasantly comfortable, and service is remarkably friendly and helpful. The in-room TV was great, and interfacing with my own subscriptions to streaming services was easy and intuitive. There are a few things about the fact that it's nearly a century old. The rooms are often smaller than we're used to for modern hotels. But that's fine! When you're in a hotel on a trip, by definition you shouldn't be spending much time in the hotel itself. Also good: the hotel gym is an actual gym, with actual free weights. This meant that I didn't have to resort to machines, but could do actual deadlifts while staying here, and there were rubber bumpers to keep the barbell from rolling away, which is important when you've got two plates on the barbell. Less good is that the gym wasn't air conditioned, and so when you're relying on fans to keep you cool it can be rather... sweaty. Less good: apparently the refurbishing of the bathtub didn't go quite right, so that the plastic floor of the bathtub was a bubble/blister that popped up and down when I stood on it when showering. This is a minor inconvenience, but might cause someone to slip. Water pressure was fine, although the sink never really got cold water when I wanted it. Again, this is just the sort of thing you see in a century-old building, but I figured I'd report on it. A minor annoyance was that when I wanted to iron a shirt to go out to eat, the iron in my room was broken: the reservoir was cracked and all the water ran out. It was also right in the early evening check-in rush, so I couldn't get the front desk on the phone. They finally did replace it, but that was something of an unnecessary inconvenience, especially as in a Hilton you're relying on being able to iron your clothes. Also mildly annoying was that when I went down to the front desk for new coffee packs all they had was decaf, although they *did* send someone from room service up with two packs of regular coffee very shortly thereafter. All told, nice hotel that had some minor inconveniences, but which is still just fine for a downtown hotel and which I would recommend.

They were short staffed and i had to run down to the front desk for shampoo and hand soap but the staff was really kind. The room needed more attention we did find some a chip bag under a night stand and the windows needed cleaned. Other than small inconveniences that did not affect our stay, we had a plethora of towels, the ac was powerful and the shower water was nice and hot. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. We used the pool, which is small but warm. I received two drink tickets as well. The evening reception was a nice touch. My kids got free nonalcoholic drinks, some snacks, crackers cheese, veggie tray, sweets and chips and salsa. We were still full from lunch which was walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was actually phenomenal. A whole room of food and made to order omelets. Breakfast staff was also really attentive and kind. Parking is $12 if you don't need to leave otherwise it's $22. My kids really enjoyed the staycation as did I.

The power went out on our last night and we had no electricity in our room to take showers. In the dark. We stayed here due to a family reunion, which we had 80 people with about 35 rooms. We were told the power outage was due to a citywide situation. When it was only the hotel that we were staying in we have requested compensation for at least one night. We haven't heard back from them yet. The ruins were all cold due to none of the heat operations were working. Lots of the furniture in the rooms were either old or dirty. The sink in my bathroom fill in, and there was no safe in one of the rooms we were in.

We had an amazing stay at this IHG hotel for one night in early May, 2023…read more -- Our room, which was a king suite with "additional living space", was gigantic and sleeps 4. It was actually two separate large rooms -- one was the bedroom with a king bed and the other a sitting room with a pullout couch and a 43" flat screen tv and WiFi. There was a separate area that included a microwave, small fridge, coffee machine, etc. Also, a doored closet for your coats. -- The suite, including bathroom, was modern and very clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and basic toiletries were provided. -- Before arrival, we were concerned that the rooms might be noisy due the hotel's proximity to the bridge. This turned out to be unfounded as we could barely hear the bridge traffic. -- The hotel has a swimming room and on-site fitness room that we didn't use. -- The free breakfast had a huge variety of hot (eggs, sausages, oatmeal, pancakes) and cold (cereals, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruits) options, as well as different options for coffees, teas, and hot chocolate. Offerings were replenished regularly. -- Location is good for driving access to the Cincinnati riverfront area. (For instance, the Underground Railroad Museum is only about 5 minutes by car across the bridge). -- There was free parking. We parked in the lot behind the hotel, from which there was key-controlled access to the hotel. A few additional things worth noting. -- The hotel is on the Ohio River, and its name includes the term "Riverfront." However, there wasn't easy walking access to the river, nor did we have a river view. -- Upon our first approach to the hotel, we found that it was adjacent to two liquor stores -- and what we thought was hotel parking was actually parking for one of the busy liquor stores.

So if you stay here be prepared to be on your own!!! Terrible customer service all around. We moved to the Hilton around the corner - about the same price and wow a world of difference- you do have to pay for breakfast there and the rooms are a bit older - but wow what a nice place - do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!!

Showers had decent water pressure and the room was pretty comfortable. Television offered plenty of things to watch including some movie channels. Forgot to lock my door and one night at around 3am, somebody entered our room!!! First time in my life I didn't lock my hotel room. Person who entered politely apologized for the mishap but it was unnerving. Remember: always double lock your hotel rooms. Breakfast buffet is typical Hampton Inn and does the job but isn't memorable. Although it looks worn out, bones of the building are good and rooms comfy. Would stay here again.

On the plus sign, valet, front desk, and all personnel are customer focused. Building was renovated in the past 10 years, and all details are lovely. Extremely clean. Rooms are large and very luxe. Room service was perfect in every way. So why not 5 stars? We love the rooftop bar and that played a huge roll in getting us here. But all three nights we were here it was closed for private events. I hope the events are making them a lot of money, because it can cut into their basic customer base. I will be checking to see if the rooftop is open before booking here in the future. One other small complaint...our room was never serviced until late afternoon when we needed to get ready for dinner. Turn down service (including chocolates) on first day only. That made me sad.

Complete attention to detail - even a shaving mirror built into the shower wall! The public areas are all special in their own way. The lobby area is in the new build area with soaring ceilings and beautiful fixtures. The rooftop restaurant (covered) and bar (outside) are thoughtful designed to ensure fun. The location is great. A little out of the way and yet close walking distance to everything. They also provide free limo service within 5 miles. Handy for any Over the Rhine excursions. The staff is excellent - from the valets to the chef. I wish I remembered the name of our waitress for Subito dinner on May 19. She was one of the best ever. This was a truly memorable celebration spot.
