For reasons unknown to me they stopped carrying them and now carry a different kind of cannoli cookie, which does not measure up. Please bring back Maria's cannoli cookies. They are the best. I had to find another store that carried them, and I will include pictures of the most delicious cannoli cookies.

Avid home chefs of NYC know the spice mecca Kalustyan. What should avid home chefs of Long Island do? Come here! I was looking for a particular spice blend called khmeli-suneli which comes from the Georgia, a former USSR republic and is awesome for seasoning meats and even sprinkling on fried eggs! While Marshall Creek did not have the mix itself which I did not expect, they had all the spices comprising the mix, the main two being fenugreek and coriander and I made the blend at home! Over the months, I've also ordered swordfish, skate, chicken breasts, ground chicken, and ground turkey, and all were good. I also liked the blue cheese and pork sausage, both by itself and as transformed by me into Scotch eggs (really delicious). Some chicken sausage I got seemed less than fresh, but candidly, I'm not sure how long I let them sit before I opened the package, so that could be on me. One week, I got the wrong kind of peas by mistake, but the staff was very helpful in trying to fix the error and I ended up getting a full credit for what I ordered. Bottom line -- I'm a fan. You heat them in the oven or toaster oven at 350 degrees for 20min. They were absolutely delicious, perfect texture (crunchy outside, soft inside) and the meat inside had so much flavor. For dessert we bought the baklava and pistachio mamoul. Everyone raved about the baklava and I really liked the pistacho mamoul as they were not too sweet (don't let the powdered sugar on the outside fool you). A very kind lady helped me find everything (though if you spend 5min walking around the store which is not that big, you can find everything yourself). Again, everything we bought was absolutely delicious and while it is not inexpensive, you get your money's worth. Absolutely worth checking out, I would be a regular here.
