Fish has always been fresh. Crab/shrimp stuff salmon is great as well as crab/shrimp stuff flounder. Owner is a great guy, extremely knowledgeable and tries is best to provide the best service possible. Certain prices are a bit high, but the quality and fact that their really isn't a better place to get seafood balances out the cost. Also he offers steaming which is great. Ordered over $100 of stuffed salmon pinwheels and crab stuffed flounder. My guests said filling in salmon way too salty and flounder tasted off. I wound up throwing half of it away because no one would eat it! texted the owner and questioned our taste buds and then said I overlooked it possibly? Even if I did overcook (which I did not) that would not make the fish taste salty or off (couldnt even tell it was flounder. Had that metal taste)! I wanted nice, fresh fish, locally. I searched online and found Hooked. Don't get concerned if you don't see a storefront, it's in Gala. I bought 3 branzino and a bag of mussels. Everything was super fresh. No odors, clear eyes, only a few of the mussels were cracked or not responding. Taste was clean . Very, very happy. The kid that helped us was really nice and helpful. I just felt like he shouldn't have been alone. He was hustling just fine, cant blame him at all, but he had a few really big orders to clean and a group of people around the counter. Seems like a bad business decision to whoever staffed. Otherwise, definitely going back! read more

This is absolutely the only and best place to go for any seafood. They are located in the back of Gala fresh supermarket in Baldwin. You wouldn't know they were there because there's absolutely no fishy smell. The reason for this is, it is immaculate. The people that help you are exceptionally knowledgeable. They will give you any information you need and the fish is always absolutely perfectly displayed. They offer many kinds of salmon and other popular fish. They would even peel your shrimp and cook it, if you want, right there. Now they have lobsters. You can request a lobster and they'll cook it for you while you shop around. Then come back and pick up your cooked lobster. They have clams and oysters that they will actually shuck for you and then package them beautifully. So all you have to do, is take them out and enjoy. I ran there because of the all of the great reviews. I am sorry, maybe it was the type of fish I ordered. The fish was not fresh and looked weird; no matter how much I washed my hands, I couldn't get the smell off. I threw away $9 worth of fish because I was not going to feed that to my family. They were porgies and they just didn't look right. I asked for them to be split they weren't and was handed to me wrapped in a sealed carton. I usually examine the fish before buying, but they were behind the glass and I was so high off all the great reviews. I don't know if I can ever trust Yelp again! I gave two stars because the guy serving me was very nice. read more
