7/7/26. I attended a party catered by A&S, and the food was really good. My favorite was the chicken marsala. It was so flavorful with a thick sauce. The penne vodka had a thicker sweet sauce. The eggplant rollatini was great and cut into smaller pieces. Even the roasted potatoes were yummy. There were also some sandwiches. The chicken with mozz and peppers was piled high. If I had one minor complaint, I would prefer thinner cutlets on the sandwich. Regardless, I would def cater from here for sure. Always a good experience with A & S. Friendly employees and a great menu. I highly suggest the Chicken Marsala. It's a little different than normal Marsala. The sauce was a little thicker than usual. The chicken has some type of coating which really enhances the flavor. I would definitely order it again. read more

Chicken Parmigiana W/ x-tRa marinara ... THEE absolute best one I have ever had, I do not do reviews. I literally downloaded this app, because it that damn good. I have eaten hundreds of chicken cutlet Parm's over the years and now that I'm thinking about it , I'm not even 100% sure if after having this I'll have one anywhere else in fact, I know I won't. . It actually has me questioning my food intake in general, as when you walk isles and in the glass cases located, around the store, you are taken aback immediately by how fresh and vivid the colors of EVERYTHING is. If you want your you sandwich ruined forever, come here, because after eating here you're not going to want anyone else's, plastic cheese nonsense. This sandwich I noticed on the menu doesn't have a name just chicken Parm... I will recommend one quickly and easily... The "COME TO JESUS", because about 1/8 of the way through this sandwich, you are going to have a come to Jesus moment about the food you eat in general. the freshest tasting tomato sauce, unbelievably perfect cuts of chicken breaded into perfection , Semolina is out of this world I ... and the cheese ... I almost have no words, like I said, hands-down the best sandwich that I have ever had have ever had. Full disclosure I am a graduate of one of the best culinary schools in the country however, do not work in the food industry whatsoever! That said; I sure have tasted multiple Olympic size swimming pools worth of tomato sauce in life, sat in every amazing Italian restaurant of any stature. There is no sandwich that comes close to this, there isn't even a close second 5+stars or 100 " everyone knows the rules" no score below 99 is even semi reasonable as there isn't even a close second nor will there ever be! WOW! Edit: This chicken parm at A & S? It deserves four Michelin stars. Yeah, I know they only give three, but this sandwich breaks the scale. Second time we had a holiday catered by A and S - I truly can't say enough good about them - the team is considerate - organized. They treat their customers as if they were family- truly - not just words. The food is prepared the exact same way. It is delicious and there is care and attention put into the meal just as if they were cooking it in their own home. And of course when you go into the store itself the outstanding selection makes you want to order more and more. Anthony assisted us more than once. He's outstanding. Do ingredients matter? They sure do. I made my exact meatball recipe as I have made for years using ingredients from A&S. They came out out so much better than when I buy everything from a supermarket. And I mean noticeably different. I cheated a little today by getting their prepared braciola, it was on point. Anti- pasta was fantastic too. First time customer but will now be a regular. Service was efficient and helpful even though the place was very busy. All around a 5 star place. read more

I decided to stop, 2 days before Christmas, to see if they had braciola. Not only did they have it, but it looked so good and were huge so I bought a few pork and beef. I slow cooked them in sauce & wine and received rave reviews. They were super tasty and fork tender. I also picked up a variety of fresh sausage that was another big hit! The young man that waited on me was so patient and nice. I'll be back this week for more to take to my daughters in Buffalo. Great food, Good customer service! A new go-to place! read more

Quality of the food, I have found, is pretty solid. If you are having a special dinner and want quality cuts of meat, then yes, A&S will have you covered. I can't vouch for their prepared foods since I've not tried them. But what gets me are their absurdly high prices AND the fact that their meats (at least when I've been there) don't have any price marks on them so you have no idea how much you might be spending without asking. We usually buy organic meats, and don't mind spending more for high quality, but I went in for sausage and baby lamb chops for 3 people and walked out having spent $85. I'm not expecting Costco prices, but if they were a bit more reasonable, I'd probably come here more often! read more

This place is one of my go-to spots for lunch. It's about 30 minutes round trip from where I work, but it's always worth it. I always get a hero and my favorite is a chicken cutlet with bacon American cheese lettuce and mayo. Hands down the best hero I've eaten anywhere. The bread is always fresh and the meats and cheese are high quality and they don't skimp on anything. Half a hero can fill you up. The cost is fair ($10) which is really good considering subway will charge you the same or more for a hero. The salads I have tried have all been fresh and delicious although they are a bit pricey. I would have missed this place if a friend didn't tell me about it because it doesn't seem like a lunch spot, and I'm almost hesitant to write a review because it's a great secret, but they deserve it. Because it's not always convenient to drive to Brooklyn to find an authentic Italian deli, they've brought it to Long Island! Fantastic little deli and food store (calling it a supermarket would be a stretch and an insult). Great deli, proper Italian bread, fantastic dry pasta selection, insalata di frutti di mare, and my personal favourite - in the freezer section little trays of ricotta-stuffed rigatoni. Should I carb-load like this on the regular? Probably not. Do I enjoy it and try to find excuses to justify going here and loading up on delectable delights? A&S is easily the best speciality italian foods store/deli in this area. That includes Long Beach and RVC. My review is for a few platters that I picked up over Christmas. The food itself was 5+ stars. We ordered chicken marsala, penne vodka and another pasta with a white sauce that I can't remember. I was a little taken back by how one of the employees (ponytail, male) was acting on CHRISTMAS EVE. Just clearly wasn't down to be dealing with antsy people that had been waiting in line for over a half hour for food that they then had to bring home and heat up for their families. I'm sure he's probably family or something so this will probably fall on deaf ears but just be nicer man, especially around the holidays. Just finished our thanksgiving dinner courtesy of A&S. BEST MEAL we've had in years!! The turkey was the perfect amount for us, we had 5 people and we had leftovers! The sweet potatoes were delicious, with a nice sweet brown sugar and cinnamon topping, and the cornbread sausage stuffing went PERFECT with the cranberries and turkey. The salad we had (walnuts and Gorgonzola, cranberries and field greens) was great with the balsamic vinaigrette. A whole tray of baked ziti (very impressive honestly how they were able to make all of this food and not lose any quality of the flavors) that we still have a half tray left and an antipasto that blew away the antipasto from more expensive places... I can't thank A&S enough for cutting out the stress and work of preparing a big feast for the family and providing for us a very satisfying and delicious meal. We will be doing this from now on every Thanksgiving! 5 stars and I wish I could go higher! read more

Very expensive. I ordered the stuffed eggplant, the stuffing was good minus the hard pieces of eggplant inside. I also didn't like the eggplant it sat in. I also ordered stuffed mushrooms, they were okay but I hated the huge piece of garlic inside, at first I thought it was a mistake, it wasn't. The mozzarella/tomato wasn't anything to write home about either. The mozzarella was very chewy and one piece was hard. The breaded cutlets are very soggy. I do however like how they already have cleaned and butterflied chicken breast on nights I need to add a cutlet to my meal kit. Next time I'm in the mood for pre made Italian specialty items I'll be going to their competitor down the block. read more

This is the best Italian deli and grocery you will find in this area. The bread is fresh and as good as you'd get from an Italian bakery in the city, the prepared foods are delicious, and their meats are fresh prime cuts. One of the few places around here to get good lamb and steaks. Miles beyond what you'd get at nearby supermarkets. Also, they have fresh pasta and ravioli, store made sauces, fantastic selection of olives and cheeses, and a variety of Italian specialty products in addition to produce and regular groceries. In addition to being a great store with great products, the service is fast, super-friendly, and was very accommodating to all my requests. This place has almost the right look and feel for an Italian deli. The butchers are really nice guys. Im having an issue with how the bread tastes in this area. Its too close to Brooklyn/Bronx to have such little flavor IMHO. Also, all of the meat breads tastes off. I had three different types, Prosciutto Bread, A multi meat bread and a donut looking meat bread. All purchased on seperate occasions weeks apart. I dont like the way the meat tastes, almost like its too old or something....i dont know. I wasnt the only one who thought so either. The meatballs are delicious and they carry Columbus deli meat, love their products. So this place is hit or miss for me right now, but no doubt there is ALOT of room for improvement.
