a variety of vegetables in a grocery store

I had no idea fresh fruit bowl has such a variety of unique vegetables, greens, organic options. The produce is so fresh and all washed clean! Saves me so much time just rinsing lightly when I get home. They also carry vegan, organic and other healthy varieties. And I found an addicting celery kimchi that fits my paleo and probiotic diet.

I am a Long Beach resident and have been patronizing the Fruit Bowl for many years. I have bought plants and flowers there in the past and have never experienced a problem. Around a week or so ago, I purchased a flowering plant. When I looked at it the next morning, I noticed what looked like little fruit flies buzzing around, so I put one of those sticky traps in the plant hoping that would take care of the problem and I could keep the plant. Lo and behold, every day that I checked the plant there were more and more of them stuck to the trap. I finally gave up and brought it back today. When I opened up the bag to show the woman the problem, more of the little flies flew out. She asked me when I purchased the plant and I told her around a week to 10 days before. I explained that I had kept the plant that long hoping the bugs would stop. She refused to give me a refund, stating "we would never sell something like that!", and, unbelievably, "maybe the bugs came from your house!" I should note that I work locally and am in there pretty much every day to grab a bite, so this woman knows me. I asked her if she was willing to lose a long time over $10 and her answer was "ok, bye!" I informed her that I would never shop there again, and that I was going to post about the experience on as many site as I could find. I am attaching pictures of the plant. - A VERY disappointed (and insulted!) former customer

There aren't many places like this anymore. The minute I sat down I was given a plate of two HUGE…read morepickles... one sour- the other - whatever you would call it - with a dish of the most scrumptious homemade coleslaw. I consumed it all. The food here is in a word fantastic. I looked around at what people were eating- incredible overstuffed sandwiches, onion rings like you've never seen- I opted for the stuffed cabbage entree-it came with a cup of soup- my choice was mushroom barley, and two sides. I chose the kasha varnishkas and some egg noodle thing... and of course I had to have a Dr Brown's Black Cherry. Since The Carnegie Deli there has never been a more authentic Jewish deli. The waiters were wonderful all with distinct personalities... I must come back for brunch. I'm fantasizing about latkes and Apple sauce now. Or maybe a lox and onion omelette? This place is special. For some reason this won't let me check ambiance- well this place has fantastic ambiance- a jewel of Long Beach.

I got a bowl of matzo ball soup and split a sandwich with my mother. That along with the all you can eat kosher dill pickles filled me up nice and good. Two things to keep in mind though. In the winter, there is a really cold draft so be sure to dress warm if you were eating in. Also, the parking isn't great, but there is a lot across the street.
