If I could give them 0 stars, I would. If you need your vehicle serviced, DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT! We had our Toyota Rav 4 Charcoal Canister replaced 3 times, and the lights on the dashboard are all still on. Now the part is still under warranty (failed after 7 months) as it is a one-year warranty part. Beware of them telling you a part has mileage warranty; they lied and told us we were 624 miles over the warranty. I called the Toyota Experience line, and they said that part is a one-year warranty part mileage does not matter. Guess they think the customer won't check. When that didn't work for them, they said it was our fault for the part failing from overfilling with gas. This is ridiculous! I did my due diligence, and online there are hundreds to thousands of complaints for several Toyota brands, Charcoal Canister Failures, and many complaints list the dealership telling the customer it is their fault for overfilling the fuel tank. There are several other reasons this part can fail, and it really should be a RECALL ON EVERY VEHICLE AFFECTED. I will list the reasons in case this helps someone going through this same problem. Because of its design and the presence of check values that may become fouled with fuel, it is reported to fail frequently. It's located at the bottom of the vehicle, so debris can physically damage it. Also, it can clog with debris. Contamination from Liquid Fuel: fuel enters due to a malfunction in the fuel system. Now they want me to bring it back so they can check if something is wrong with the EVAP system. NO WAY, they should have been looking at that the second time it failed. Now it's the third time, and they want to wash their hands of it. After it failed the third time, they said the spark plugs needed to be replaced, which we did, and 2 weeks later, all the lights on the dashboard were on again, went back in, and then they said it was the Charcoal Canister. I have read the reviews for the sales department of this place also, and many people say don't purchase a car here or service it at Dry Ridge Toyota because they are liars, etc. This was resolved with Toyota Experience, as they were on the conference call. I had set up a time to have it replaced again, per their calling me to arrange a time. My husband went in, and the owner, whom we have never seen, came out of the office and said we are not doing the replacement, it's your fault it failed. I needed to share this experience to hopefully help someone else who may run into this situation. I visited Marshall Toyota on 4/10/26 at 1:30pm. I did some research and wanted to ensure I was doing business with a reputable dealership that stood behind its word. The experience I had was absolutely horrible. I spent some time on the lot and picked out a Rav 4 that I decided I'd like to drive. I was approached, and the first question was whether I was buying today. I advised the salesperson that I wasn't, even though I made the 2-hour trip with the intention of purchasing that day. I asked if I could drive and was told that the vehicle was in high demand and had 100 miles on it, so if I wasn't buying, I could open it up and take it to the church next door to see it. I told them that if I were buying an investment, I wanted to drive it. They finally allowed me to take the vehicle across town, and I really liked it. The salesperson, whom I don't blame for any of this, was very pleasant. I then asked him to appraise my truck so I could decide whether to sell it privately, to a big chain, or back to Marshall. The sales manager advised the salesman that he wouldn't appraise the vehicle if I weren't looking to buy that day on-site because the value could change. Look, I know the market changes and so does the industry, and I agree with that. But the fact that the sales manager wouldn't come out to appraise the vehicle because I mentioned I wasn't ready to buy that day was a kick in the teeth. I had to beg them to appraise it. I then asked to go inside to take a look at the numbers on the vehicle, including the terms and down payments I requested. I'm shopping around different dealerships, and they've all been very understanding and courteous when I asked them to print out a sheet of the invoice, as well as the terms and payments. The sales manager refused to provide the sales rep a printout, and they wrote it on a Post-it note. When I asked to see a printed-out sheet again, they said I needed to do a credit application. I responded that I'm not asking for an exact dollar amount; give me a range and the interest rate range it's based on. They refused to do so and said it's all based on what you're approved for, and tried to justify not giving me an accurate quote. I stated that I felt like I was being an inconvenience to the sales manager and the dealership for showing up to try to get a quote, and I felt it was really disappointing and disrespectful that they wouldn't appraise the vehicle or let me drive the one on their lot without having to beg. I made a special 2-hour trip to see this exact vehicle at a dealership I felt was locally owned and cared about its visitors. Boy, am I wrong, and I hope that this review can help someone else make an educated decision when they're looking to buy their next Toyota (or their other brands under the same ownership) Side note: the sales manager said he would need to speak with the sales rep, who was sitting beside us throughout the interaction. Kicker: When signing the final papers they said they could not sell the car at the price we agreed upon (and had begun filling papers out for) and AFTER leaving to get a cashiers check for them. Are you serious?! I understand this is a business of negotiations and profit is trying to be made, but employees were caught in lies and I was being sold a package that I can't ever use living not nearby away, yet was continued to be sold on this after saying no. Thank God for Toyota Marshall an employee was wise enough to discern that they LOST the deal and fixed it. However, this sour experience was never made up for. Seeing the owner's note on here, "treats the needs of each individual customer with paramount concern," is not at all the experience I had. Toyota, if you want people to repeat business with you reconsider your ethics and consider their experience. And if you want people to sign up for Toyota Marshall's Care Plan give them an experience they want to come back for. Ordered a 4Runner pro in mid July with a deposit and agreed on pricing in writing. When it arrived in September they contacted me but sent me numbers with higher pricing. When I corrected the dealership with correct pricing, no one responded. I had to call the dealership and ask for a manager. At that point, he told me that I had to provide documentation even though he had the documentation since it was all part of the same texts. The run around started at 9:30 am and went to around 5:40 pm. At this point, I told them if they didn't want to sell me the 4Runner at the price they agreed on then just to refund my deposit. The manager immediately said they would refund my deposit. Done with Toyotas since many Models are now turbos. Who wants a truck or off road suv with a turbo. I bought a used 2013 Volkswagen Passat TDI SE (diesel) at Dry Ridge Toyota about four months ago. I took it in for the first of two complimentary service calls today. You know, oil change, tire rotation, wash, etc. They were finished with my car three and three quarter hours later! And all they did was the oil change! (They said that they rotated the tires, but they didn't.) I felt that was way long for just an oil change and was told it was because, being a Toyota dealer, they didn't stock Volkswagen parts and had to order them. OK, fair enough, but why weren't they ordered when I set up the appointment two weeks ago or so or at least at the very beginning of my service call? (I saw the Federated parts truck pull in over two hours after the beginning of my appointment!) I'll be sure to actually speak with a service representative for my next visit in the hope that the parts they need will be on hand. One thing is for certain; I will not be purchasing any more vehicles from Dry Ridge Toyota if this is their service after the sale. read more

As you can see from my previous reviews, I have always trusted and recommend this dealership to everyone I possibly can, sadly today was a bad experience. I went in for an oil change on my 2009 Camry in which I requested a different type of oil, (my car has been using this oil for years with no issues at all). I was greeted with them telling me they did not recommend this oil for my engine, I understand that, as it is not what the car recommends. However, when I explained, I was greeted with arguments from the mechanic, he was talking in a very rude tone honestly and that was the issue I had with the situation, I fully understand what MY CAR, needs even if that is not what is recommended, and I fully understand that they have to let me know that it is not recommended, but arguing with me and talking to me like I have no idea what I am saying or asking for was TOTALLY uncalled for. The service advisors and Joe, (one of the mechanics) were all extremely pleasant as usual. The mechanic who I spoke to about my oil, was not. (I did not catch his name) I will be back to this dealership as I try to keep the trust in them that I have had for years, but I was really disappointed by today's experience. read more

I was never a fan of dealerships doing service work, but I must say - if I go to a dealership - this is the one. I drive 45 minutes to go to this dealership versus Kerry Toyota which is only 10 minutes away. Granted I have only been to Dry Ridge a few times, but the complimentary car wash is a great extra touch with every service which is really what makes this place stand out to me. However my parents took their Tundra here and had nearly $1000 worth of accessories installed and didn't get a car wash... not sure why. I don't go to a lot of dealerships, but this one has a gym and locker rooms if you want to work out while you wait for your service to be done. Or if you're not a gym junkie, they you could watch some TV by the fireplace or watch the fish and red eared sliders in the awesome fish pond. So far, so good with this dealership and I will continue to come here. read more

My complaint is not about the servicing, rather about the misinformation surrounding the selling of their tires. I was told that I needed a couple of tires and I expressed to the service desk personnel that I traveled and needed to be sure that the road hazard, rotation, and balance included in the purchase would be honored at any Toyota I went to. They said they thought it would be honored, and they would confirm with other service personnel. They returned and told me that yes, it did include this. Based on this information, I went ahead and purchased 4 tires so they would all be replaced at the same time. I could have purchased the tires for hundreds of dollars less at a competitor, but based on their assurance that road hazard, rotation, and balance would be covered, I purchased it at Dry Ridge Toyota. Fast forward to several months later, when I went to a different Toyota dealer I was told that tire balance was not included in my tire purchase. I reached out to Dry Ridge Toyota and Leslie investigated. After investigating, she said she had spoken with the personnel and the team "knows the road hazard is good at any dealer, however, complimentary rotation is only good at our dealer". I received an apology for any "understanding that has occurred". The personnel may understand their policy now, but clearly they didn't understand it at the time I purchased the tires. I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled with no recompense for the misinformation I was provided. read more

When you drop off your vehicle to a dealership for a service, you would expect the dealership to treat your vehicle with care. Well here's my story. On May 24th I dropped my car off at Dry Ridge Toyota to have the Navigation system replaced (under warranty). My car is in pristine condition, a 2013 Toyota Camry XLE with 31,974 miles on it. At that time it had less but I don't know what the mileage was, I didn't check. I wish I had. 2 days forward on May 26th I got a call at 9:28AM my car was ready. I wasn't sure how I was going to get to the dealership because I had a layout of a friend's son I needed to attend that evening. I ended up getting to the dealership around 7PM to pick up my car. I walked to my car to leave, and noticed all of the damage on the drivers side. The wheel, the mirror, the driver's door trim, the passenger's door trim, a dent with deep scratches in the passenger door, and a scratch in the rear panel. I walked back into the dealership and the Manager on duty, Aaron, said "we didn't do that to your car". I asked him who did it because I didn't drop it off like that, my car had no damage whatsoever when it was dropped off. He then asked what year my car was. I looked at him and said "what does that matter?" He was very argumentative the whole time, and then sent Bernie Lozier to assess the damage. Mind you I'm distraught from the day, coming from a funeral, etc. We went over things twice and he said he'd only fix the door, the mirror, and the trim. Not the wheel or back panel. At that point I got mad and walked out and called the police. When the police came Deputy Osborne said it was a Civil Matter and since they thought it was taken to Cincinnati there was nothing he could do it was across state lines. They made me leave with my car and I dealt with Chris Hartsfield, General Sales Manager on 5/31/17. I was told my car was only moved two spots to put the navigation system in. At that point, I asked "So you're telling me you cleaned my car in that same spot?" Then Chris said he stood corrected, the car must've been moved to be washed, he did that as a courtesy. (The last time my car was washed my back bumper was scratched- I have record of this as well, and fortunately I was able to buff that out on my own). He agreed to fix everything but the wheel so I took my car to him on 6/10/17. I checked with him and was told my car would be ready on 6/17/17. I picked my car up, there's still hairline scratches on the mirror, They only put touch up paint on the trim so the chunks/gouges are still in the trim, and there's still the surface scratch on the back panel. When I brought it to Chris's attention he told me, and I quote "This is as good as it's going to get". I asked him if it was his car, how would he feel and he said he'd be happy. He also agreed my car was Meticulous and in perfect condition. I said well it was... until your dealership had it. All I can say is if you want your car back in one piece, I wouldn't recommend this dealership. The customer service and ethics with this dealership is definitely lacking! Do not go here! This is my fifth car from this dealership, but I will make sure to never buy another one from Marshall Dry Ridge Toyota if they don't make this right. All I asked them to do is fix the damage that was done when the car was in their possession, I don't think that's too much to ask. The response I got was, we aren't responsible, just like Walmart or Target isn't responsible if a cart hits your car. Where is the ethics with this dealership? My car was left with them in good faith that they were taking care of my car. Why would the dealer offer to repair if it wasn't their responsibility? Only after doing a subpar repair, they changed their tune.Bottom line, they didn't. Do I have any friends that can help resolve this issue with Marshall Dry Ridge Toyota? Any suggestions. I went to see about buying a car today. I got out of my husband's Jeep, walked around the front of the dealership for a few minutes and looked at cars. Nobody came to greet me. I think to myself, "Oh, cool.. no pressure sales!" I walk around the back to look at the new Rav-4s, but to my confusion, they're not where the new cars are supposed to be; that area seems to be filled with used cars. I look around to ask someone, but the place is deserted (it's 10am on a beautiful spring weekday). I continue to stroll around and never did find a cache of new Rav-4s. Went back around front and didn't find anyone there, either. There were definitely people in the showroom, but I will not PURSUE a car salesman. It's a shame; I was set to pull out my checkbook and purchase a new Toyota today, but it looks like it'll be a Mazda for me at this point, though I've driven Toyotas for the past 30 years. Even when I got into my car and calmly sat and checked my makeup, giving them the opportunity to stop me, nobody offered to assist me! I am completely disgusted with the lack of service! read more

3 months ago I took my 2010 Chevy Aveo in for an oil change. They said the bottom radiator hose had a crack. I had it replaced at that time. Upon driving it home directly from Toyota, the car started to run rough. Upon parking & turning my car off, smoke came from under the hood. The next day my car would not start. I then had the car towed in . After an extended period of time they told me the water pump had an internal failure. And that I had to have the head replaced. My repair bill was over $3000. !! After being told my car was ready for pick up, I attempted to drive my car home. It started to run rough, wouldn't gain spead, wouldn't shift & over heat. I pulled off the interstate & had the car towed back for the 2nd time. At that point, I was told it needed a new radiator cap & was replaced. I again was told my car was ready. It took 4 attempts to start my car. It ran very, very rough & the check engine light came on. I was then told it needed new plugs & plug wires. As of today, my car is still NOT REPAIRED. I have made 3 car payments since this entire ordeal started & have had no use of my car. I expect my car to be properly repaired & warranted. If I do not receive assurance of this, my next action will be to contact Toyota directly, BBB & Consumer Affairs. read more

A few months ago, my wife and me were looking to buy a new car. We found a listing online for a car at a good price, being sold at this dealership. We went up to Dry Ridge to look at it. My wife grew up in the Dry Ridge area, and she has had good experiences with this dealership in the past. We got a very good deal on the car, they were very favorable with the terms of the financing, and overall they were quite friendly and helpful. They even threw in about $400 worth of body work on the used car. The inside of the dealership itself is quite nice. They've got a little cafe and some amenities if you have to spend a little time there while your car is being worked on. It's definitely a dealership we'll keep in mind for shopping for cars in the future. read more

Since I'm not from this area, I cannot comment on any trends with the service department. Previous reviews seem to show a drop-off this year. My arrival and check-in experience was very good. I don't remember the service person's name, but he made me feel welcome. Other people were friendly and easy to talk to. My only negative would be the wait. While we were early for our scheduled service time at 11am, it was past noon when we got our vehicle back just for standard 20K service. read more

Toward the end of December, we tried to buy a new 2018 Tundra from Dry Ridge Toyota. To make a long story short, we found that dealership to be the most dishonest, unethical business we've ever encountered. It surprises me that a manufacturer like Toyota that is so careful about the quality of its product and guarded about its reputation would allow a dealership like Dry Ridge Toyota to drag the Toyota image down. Our credit card company stood behind us and reimbursed our account for the $500 deposit we placed on the truck--right before the sales manager reneged on the deal we had made with one of his salesmen. We refused to pay the higher price, so he kept the deposit. I hope the credit card company sues. Do not go near Dry Ridge Toyota unless you're a risk taker with your money, or you have an understanding credit card company that will be there for you when you get ripped off. read more

All we wanted was a car, not a hassle. A few months back, we came across a special leasing deal for a 2012 Scion IQ. We called several dealerships, but none of them had any cars left. We called Dry Ridge Toyota Scion because we good thing about it. The salesman assured us that he could get a brand new 2012 Scion IQ for a 2 year lease. We travelled 45 mins to the dealership to meet with the salesman. When we arrived. The salesman we had an appointment with had to run some kind of errand and could not help us. So, he gave us over to another salesman that did not seem like he cared to help us. After coming to terms on a leasing cost per month, we gave them a down payment. All this happened on a Friday. The salesman said he would get back to us by Monday to let us know about the car he had found for us. Monday came without any call from anyone at the dealership. Over the next week, I called and left messages and got the runaround - but NO CAR! The communication was pathetic. I had to request to talk with a Manager to get any response. In the end, even the manager could not get us a car. The new car he offered me was a 2012 with 4500 miles and had been used. Not my idea of a "new" car. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

I bought a tundra from dry Ridge Toyota a year and a half ago I sold it yesterday and trying to cancel my gap and warranty contract. I've called Bill Reed the finance manager for two days straight without a return call and currently their switchboard isn't even answering the phone I called and let it rang for 20 minutes without anybody picking it up they sent it to sales managers voicemail. I've never had a car dealership ever especially Toyota with this kind of customer service I will never step foot on their lot or won'tRecommend that anybody buy a car from them. It's time for my 50,000 mile service. Yesterday I called the Dry Ridge Dealership to schedule an appointment, no answer in the service department. So, I called the main number and spoke with someone and explained the service department had not answered the phone. So he enthusiastically offered to go directly to the service department and let them know I had called and that he would be transferring my call to them and assured me of this. The transfer call rang about ten times and still no answer...and then stopped ringing with silence on line (no message to leave a message...just silence). I took my car in for an oil change today. I also asked the service man to check my brakes. The brakes had been squeaking and grinding. Two hours later the service man informed me that the brakes were shot and the rotors would need resurfacing because the rotors were pitted, scratched and dinged and would tear up any new brakes. He quoted me a cost of $330 for the new brakes (the final repair was on front brakes only, not back brakes) and rotor repairs (final repair on front rotors only). When I asked him why it was so expensive, he said it was because the brakes were genuine Toyota parts. After I received my bill, the actual brakes only cost $60. The dealership repair shop had charged me $253 to resurface the rotors. And they also charged me $15 to throw the old brakes away. I checked around online and NEW rotors for a 2012 Toyota Corolla would have cost about $70. I could have replaced my rotors for less then the dealership charged me to resurface my old rotors. Toyota Dry Ridge service center over-inflated the cost of the repair and took advantage of me. Take your car somewhere else for repairs. Does $10 per minute for labor sound excessive? That's what they charged me at Toyota Dry Ridge. Take your car somewhere else for repairs. read more

So today we decided we were gonna go look at a new truck... so we did.. at dry ride Toyota. Of course we find one we like. We go in to start paper work and the finance man was extremely rude. I mean if it wasn't for my husband really wanting the vehicle I would have told "Hunter" to Learn some manners when dealing with costumers. He kept trying to get us to lease a car. We said no repeatedly. He tried to get us to get a used car. We said no. Then he asked us... well why not? I said because we don't want to? (( I'm not sure if he understands that people have other bills to pay besides just car payments and NO MEANS NO)) we were about to leave, then my husband decided he wanted to proceed with the new truck... so we went home with a new truck. Buyer Beware Marshall Dry Ridge Toyota keeps going backwards when it comes to being customer friendly. I don't know if it is because of the Pandemic or what but it seems the dealership is looking for new ways to make money. I wrote a previous post in July about a very poor experience but took my other Toyota in for a routine synthetic oil change today. It was not nearly expensive as the one I got gauged on in July as today I made it out the door for 72 dollars and some change. Not too bad but since last time I was there in July they have started something new that I haven't seen at any dealerships in the past. Dry Ridge Toyota now charges a 4% surcharge if you use a credit card to pay for your service. I know merchants are charged by the card issuers but for Marshal to pass this cost on to the consumer is going against the grain of the way we are accustomed to paying for our automotive service. If they would add something like this on for using a credit card I can only imagine what extra charges they add to the price of buying a car. If I would have known I would have written them a check. Sales representative didn't acknowledge me when my husband and I walked in. Aside from that we decided to buy a car, I called ahead told them I'm on the way. They said ok well get the car ready for you. It's a 45 min drive for me, I also had to get a baby sitter. I get there and they sold the car to someone else and didn't give me the common courtesy and call to tell me this. My thought me is valuable so I was very upset they didn't feel the same, and to sell the car when it was already basically sold. Bad business! Never will buy a vehicle there no will anyone in my family or any of their friends. Good job Marshall motors on loosing lots of business!!!! read more

I found a 4runner advertised on Cars.com and the dealership's webpage. Both advertised the price at 41k. I spent 3 days discussing the vehicle with a salesperson and coordinated financing, insurance, and even shipping (out of state) to receive a quote from the dealer 3k dollars higher than the advertised price. Once I mentioned the advertised price to the salesman, he stopped returning my emails; however, I did notice they changed the advertised price after I complained. If you find what seems to be a good deal on a vehicle from Marshall Dry, make sure you confirm the price is accurate before you waste your time. read more
