Well my story is about the same as everyone else's. 17 year old daughter saved to buy her car…read moreworking 2 jobs and doing dual credit in high school. Pays over 6500 dollars for a used Chevy, not bad for a first buy. Within 1-2 months engine starts acting up. Take it in they keep it, swear its fixed and then back we go again this time for a new (rebuilt) engine. Supposed to have a warranty on the rebuilt motor charged us 4 grand. They have the car for weeeeeekkkssss! PIck it up and the transmission starts whining before we even make it home. Talked to the owner who says well we can put a new transmission in for $$$$ NOPE not happening forced the issue and got her car worked on again. They have the car again for WEEKS get the car back runs a little better but not as good as it should. 2 months later engine light comes on and her temperature starts fluctuating. Here we come again! Said they replaced the thermostat and we should be good. This car should run like a new car! Did I mention she only drives 4 miles to work and school? Well last week the same thing happens the temperature is all over the place. Trying to get her to have some adult ownership, I tell her to call them, knowing we were told there was a warranty. Mike tells her she doesn't have a warranty and he isn't even sure he worked on her car but she can bring it in and they will look at it. His exact words "are you sure we did that work?" So now momma bear is mad. I call, it goes to voicemail, I leave a not so nice message and ask someone to return my call. That was Thursday of last week. She has owned this car since late January of last year. She has driven it less than it has been in the shop. So now we have a car that is salvage titled, I had to pay the taxes on it last year because they didn't and she is 12000 dollars into a car that continues to have issues. No one will return my calls, I have filed a complaint with BBB, talked to a detective who says they are already in deep $h1t!!!! and we have no choice now but to contact an attorney. So much for trying to teach your children that if they work hard and pay for their own stuff they will respect it so much more! Not with disgusting crooks out there!

I almost forgot to write a review on this small car dealership. My husband and I was looking for a…read morecar for at least 3 months for our 16 y/o daughter. This place seemed to have good selection, and the price seemed reasonable. The dealer also worked with our lender, which makes the process of obtaining the loan and getting the car a smooth process. We both our daughter a Nissan Rouge 2012 with a mileage of 66,00. We paid $8300 with a one year warranty. I think that's a good deal since the other places that we've been to does not even offer any warranty. I highly recommend this place and to patronize our local businesses.

Bought a work truck (2005 Silverado 2500 HD) a couple of years ago. Listed price was $9000. I tried…read moreto make a deal for cash, but was turned down. Was told they'd put so much money into it so they couldn't possibly go lower. Within the first year, the brakes totally failed, so I had them replaced. Windshield fluid never dispensed, found out why just recently while replacing the battery. Fluid line was broken next to the battery and was mended using rubber tubing. Still doesn't work as it will not stay attached to the fluid dispenser. I'm still working on this. Shortly after replacing the brakes, the power steering went out. Checked all hoses, then finally found a leak in the power steering fluid cooler. It was completely rusted throughout (as is most of this vehicle!) It took a long time to find this part as it was only used on vehicles for a couple of years. It wasn't a hard replacement, and has worked well since. Last winter, the back end of the passenger side running boards broke off when someone stepped on it. It's been tied up since because I'm having a difficult time remove the boards with all the bolts rusted on. Still working on them. Like I said, the underside of this truck is all rust. While working under it to do repairs, I've found that both exhaust pipes have rusted completely off, connected to nothing, and are only being held to the underside of the truck by more rusted bolts. I've replaced the radio with a new stereo system and new speakers. I had a difficult time getting the rear speakers to work, until I found the purposefully snipped wires inside the rear door tubing. Attached new connectors and the speakers sound great. I'll admit, I should have inspected this vehicle more closely prior to purchase, but I never expected so see so much dilapidation on the under body. I've learned so much from the purchase of this vehicle, and I'm able to drive it as work truck as I intended, so it still has value. Not $9000 worth, but value nonetheless. However, I'm very disappointed in this dealership. I believe I was taken advantage of and lied to concerning the purchase of this vehicle. I will never recommend Advantage Used Cars to anybody let alone buy another vehicle there. Buyer be VERY aware. (Wish I could give a ZERO rating!)
