I don't usually make reviews but I feel like it needs to be said in order to help other parents and their young baby boys. My son was 1 year old brought him in for a very high fever, mind you this is my first child so of course I took him to the ER. They said they needed a urine sample I said okay And they told me to take down his pants so I did, and the doctor proceeded to try and PULL his 4skin back on his uncircumcised penis, I thought that a doctor would understand that you were not supposed to pull back foreskin on a small child. It won't even go back until they're at least five years old. It is connected to their body still I wasn't going to post until my friend had a very similar experience with her uncircumcised son, they tried to pull his skin back, which is extremely painful especially at this age. She is a new mom as well and didn't know what else to do. I really think that the doctors here need to be educated on uncircumcised penises small children it's just horrific my son and others have gone through such a horrific time getting their skin ripped away from their other skin. Educate your f***ing doctors on human anatomy.

Bad stitches for minor laceration from Marshall ER.

Cut my finger pretty bad on a new set of knives. Went to the emergency room. Took 5 hours to get 5 stitches. They were not that busy. They just kept wanting me to get an X-ray - which I didn't need. Almost a week later the cut is still bleeding and I have franknfinger. Just moved to this area and Marshall was the closest ER. I guess from now on I'll be heading down to Folsom.

Worst hospital emergency room wait time, I waited 5 hours, and never saw a Dr. I had a rude nurse, named Ana. All the nurses walk around like turtles and are eating like it's grazing time. This place is totally understaffed for Doctors. I am leaving after not being treated, I've been here 5 hrs. I'm visiting from out of town so this is the only place my insurance will cover.

Not amped on feeling horrible but loved the entire staff.

The nurses in preop (thank you, Tanya) were gracious and thoughtful. The surgical nurse, Beth, was funny and kind, which helped put me at ease as he went back to surgery. Afterward, the nurses who supervised his recovery were gentle and helpful. Overnight, the RN Carrie and the aide, Claudia were attentive, thoughtful and patient. Our day nurse, Bryan was funny and very helpful (be sure to check out his shoes!) Overall, this was the best hospital experience I've had. It was clear that the staff (and doctors: hats off to Dr. Molitar, who came out following surgery to ease my concerns and let me know how the surgery went. He had been in surgery all day, although it was late, he took time to come out to update me personally,) anyway, it is abundantly Care that Marshall Hospital cares. From what I understand, they've come a long way.

I came for treatment for a neurological…read moredisorder that had become exacerbated, but was labeled psychotic, treated like I wasn't even a human being. I wasn't allowed to have visitors or make phone calls and there is no documentation in my records as to why my civil rights were revoked. It shouldn't matter if a person is truly psychotic or not, but staff here will treat you like a second-class citizen if they believe you are a psychiatric patient. Staff would not allow my husband to visit with me and they never even told me he showed up. I was devastated because I thought my husband had abandoned me when I was in a neurological crisis. When I requested my medical records, they were filled with errors, and they falsely documented that my husband agreed to transfer me to a psych ward. As if my husband doesn't know my medical history. He would never do that! Staff at Marshall documented that my rights to use the phone or have visitors were revoked. Whether you're on a 5150 hold or not, or a psychiatric patient or not, this is a violation of a person's Civil Rights and in violation of the Lanterman Petris Short Act ***(which BTW, the patient advocates and staff at Marshall told me they "never heard of the LPS Act", which is the law that governs 5150 Holds, and the law that California put into place in the 1960s TO END INDEFINITE HOSPITALIZATIONS AND CONSERVATORSHIPS and to make sure psychiatric patients did not have LESS RIGHTS THAN PRISONERS) My husband wrote Marshall a signed letter asking them to change the false documentation and false quotes they attributed to him in my records, but they wouldn't. El Dorado County Behavioral Health ended up correcting their false documentation in my records. But it wasn't without a fight, and it wasn't without severe damage to my marriage and my mental health. I even showed Marshall that El Dorado corrected my records. Filed 3 separate complaints about my medical records being erroneous and inaccurate, but they don't care. Now I have false diagnoses in my medical records, which are legal documents. In 2016, Marshall agreed to pay $5.5 million to settle allegations that it defrauded Medicare and Medi-Cal in billing. They were double-billing and practicing fraudulent documentation. Well, it seems that they are now trying to use psychiatric diagnostic codes in order to get reimbursed more money, since they can't get away with double-billing Medicare and Medi-Cal anymore. Psychiatric patients (and non-psychiatric patients) who are mistaken for substance abusers or psychiatric patients at Marshall are in real danger of losing their civil rights here and I don't say that lightly. I'm absolutely disgusted with this place and will never go there again. I was so upset about my experience at Marshall, I ended up creating an advanced directive just to have in writing that I am never to be brought to Marshall under any circumstances.

I mean they went through the normal procedures for patients who have chest pain, but to see how quickly they got her issue resolved was very impressive to me. Yes we stayed there from 6pm to about 10pm, but that tells me that they were very thorough. From the time we got there until the time we left they were very attentive to her. They took blood a couple of times and also did EKG's a couple of times as well. Being someone who just moved to the Folsom area, we weren't 100% sure on who to go with. They advised to have my wife follow up with her PCP due to they didnt find any Heart Attack symptoms. So let me start off by saying Thank you Mercy Hospital. Your Staff, your attentiveness to my wife didnt go unnoticed and it was very appreciated how well you cared for her. If we need any further Health Care, we will be back.

I had driven a 5 hour drive that day and my leg was just not feeling right when I arrived home. Better safe than sorry. This review is about the high points and low points of that visit. Every single one of the medical professionals with whom I came into contact were phenomenal. I am talking the doctors, nurses, u/s technician. The time arriving and departing was appropriate given it is an Emergency Department and I was not in any urgent medical state at that point. I interacted with two registration personnel during my time there. One when I entered the ER and the other at some point during my stay regarding further insurance information. These two employees were the most unprofessional people one could never hope to come into contact with during an emergency visit under any circumstance. It was like they selected the least customer savvy employees they could possibly find to put in critical positions. I was truly agast! Rude, barely able to put a grammatically correct sentence together and not an ounce of compassion nor kindness for the types of patients they were serving. I watched them as I waited demean patient after patient in utter shock. Now... there is no way Mercy Emergency Department management is unaware of these , pathetic, unskilled employees wreaking havoc on sick and, in some cases, frightened patients. There is no world where this would be acceptable behavior. I am certainly glad I am not a Dignity Health plan member. My Health Care Provider would never hire employees like these. What were they thinking? I have read Mercy's responses to some of these Yelp reviews. Embarrassing in my opinion. Better to not respond at all than write pathetic, patronizing dribble. Do better Dignity Health.

I understand that the ED is busy but I didn't choose him to work there, he did. so the being busy thing cant be a good excuse. Doctor Daniel Sadoma wouldn't contact my surgical team after they were the ones who sent me to the ED. He was obsessed with an issue that I didn't go in for and I very clearly told him was not my problem. I reviewed the notes after I left and he actually lied on the documentation about the exam he provided. The paper work stated that he checked my eyes, lungs, etc. standard triage stuff. He never did any of that. He actually lied saying we discussed changing my routine around constipation too. He didn't discuss any changes with me. Nothing was even talked about in regards to the pain that I came in for. Literally zero pain management options were brought up. That sad I have no interest in pain meds. I wanted to be treated properly. This doctor didn't even do the bare minimum in that regard. Just the fact that I told him repeatedly that I was a bariatric patient and that my team from this same hospital sent me there and he decided that wasn't important. At one point he asked me if they wanted me admitted and I said I don't know why don't you contact them. He replied that he only contacted specialist if he had a reason to! I guess that specialist literally telling me to do he ED wasn't a good enough reason. I don't even live near Roseville, I only drove here because this is where my surgical team is! BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME TO GO HERE! Avoid Doctor Daniel Sadoma at all costs. there are way better doctors here and if you end up with this man ask for someone else or push hard to get proper care because he won't listen to you. maybe it's because I am a woman. or maybe he just thinks he knows better than my surgical team. Maybe it's garden variety doctor arrogance.
