Wow! Just freaking wow! I came in with what I thought was diverticulitis (a flare up as usual) but it turned out to be appendicitis. I was in so much pain but everyone took great care of me. Everyone was so kind and compassionate and proactive ! After this interaction I would definitely recommend it to anyone! If you are a kind good person I can highly recommend this care center! read more

Was visiting my daughter in Placerville when I contacted the noro-virus, which was sweeping the area.. just my luck I guess, as I was the last of the immediate family to suffer from the illness. Finally, after hours of n/v, finally ended up at Marshall Hospital ER. The check end was smooth and professional and I was promptly taken to an exam room. Since I have worked at Myrtle Beach Regional Medical Center as a Pharmacist, I am very familiar with protocols and procedures. I was immediately seen by a nurse ( I forgot her name .. but she actually had been to Ocean Isle Beach, NC for vacation) and received great care with compassion. My MD was prompt and his choice of drug and protocols and diagnosis was quick with professional attentiveness. Shane Torgerson, MD was quite out-standing with his bedside manner and his attention to detail. AAA++ ER Physicians see numerous cases through out their shifts, and they become great diagnosticians because of their experience. I had excellent care and if this is any indication of Marshall Hospital's dedication to the community, then I can definitely say my care was impressive. Being a non/profit hospital has its challenges but I feel that the people of Eldorado and the city of Placerville have a gem ( gold nugget) in their community. My thanks to an outstanding Emergency Department ! They are there to help with complete emergency examination and treatment. read more

Dr.Ceridon has been my primary physician since he first started at Marshall. I adore this guy! He's knowledgeable, understanding and extremely patient with my needs. I have a very complex medical history and Dr. Ceridon isn't phased by anything going on with me. He is the best doctor for someone like me and I appreciate him. read more

They have lots of activities, an awesome pool and spa ( I would swim with him frequently), beautiful grounds with chairs and tables where you can sit with a cocktail and take in the beautiful view of the small lake and the surroundings. I had mentioned to one of the waitress' I had such a craving for a rootbeer float. A while later she brought one out to me. Such thoughtfulness. They have two banquets during the year, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Buffet style, Prime rib, turkey, poached salmon with all the trimmings with desserts galore. When my husband started declining I contacted Hospice and between Hospice, me and the Caregivers at Eskaton he was in very good hands. The caregivers and med techs were wonderful. They treated my husband like he was their own grandfather. He was treated with dignity, love and some shed tears when he passed. He very much enjoyed the people he met. Some becoming good friends and they would meet mornings for breakfast. He was very well taken care of. I have no regrets.........
