Called several plumbers over to give me an estimate for a new toilet. Marshall was the only one that would come the same day. When he can he explained my options and gave me a fair price. I hired him on the spot, mostly due to immediately trusting him. He went and bought the new toilet and replaced the old one. While he was there I asked him to look at my shower that also had issues, he quoted me a fair price again and he fixed it. It hard to know who to trust and Marshall honestly feels like you neighbor that you've know forever and does plumbing. I needed 3 bathroom faucets replaced . I contacted two other plumbers from Yelp and added Marshall as a 3rd option. The first two quotes I was not feeling good about. Both of the plumbers were not personable and just were out for the dollar. When I contacted Marshall he was quick to respond. The owner just contacted me (late, but followup is always appreciated) and made a convincing argument that I had left a review here for a plumbing service with a similar name by mistake. I have been a homeowner for over 30 years and have good plumbers and not so good, but Marshall is excellent. I called the "smell good plumbers" to give me an estimate on repairing a hot water heater that wouldn't stay lit. They were extremely couteous and prompt. Their estimate was over $350.00 and I felt that was way too high. So, I called Marshall and he came out and gave me an estimate of about half of the previous estimate. I gave him the go-ahead and he said he'd have to return the following day because he needed to pick up the neccessary parts to effect a repair. He returned as promised the next day and had the repair done in about an hour. He then told us that the parts were less than expected and reduced his price accordingly. WOW! He didn't have to do that! But, he did. I can't say enough positive about the service and respect he extended. He's the man! read more

I had a couple of kids show up from this place one day to snake a yard drain. The first snag they hit they said "Oh, we can't get through that." Then they tried it from the other side, and still couldn't get through the blockage. They gave up, told me that it would be $1500 to jack hammer my yard and repair the broken pipe. Then then handed me a $120 bill and then said that they weren't making very much money after maybe 15 minutes of work. So, I thought they were right, and a few years later my other drain goes out. So this time I called an old pro and told him what happened with Marshall. This guy shows up and spends about two hours but cuts through both lines and now both drains work perfect. Hey, I'm just giving you real world experience here. The only thing worse than their incompetence was their attitude. I put Marshall on the short list of never call again. Maybe I got a couple of young kids they fired the next day but the fact is that they didn't fix what they charged for and advised me of a repair that didn't need to be made. read more

My experience with Marshal was... mind numbing. I felt like everything was an excuse for something completely unrelated to me or my plumbing job. Marshal mentioned at least twice about how he just had to pay the registration for his work truck. Then he complained about paying for his state plumbing contractor's license. Then he complained that he has to pay for insurance/bond. He then complained about the work a previous plumber had done at my house, even though it just cleared the permits with the city inspector. Then he complained that city inspectors are a jack of all trades, but a master of none and that they don't really know any one trade at all. Wow. I just want my plumbing job to be taken care of and not have to worry about Marshal's problems. It's not like the government decided that Marshal was the only business person, contractor, working individual who has to pay for this stuff. I'm not sure if Marshal and I just didn't click or maybe he had an off day. But I felt myself dozing off when Marshal would complain about every little detail of adult life, and then to say that every minute obstacle in the plumbing job was a problem that had to dissected... well, I felt like he was getting me primed for the big $$ estimate. Needless to say, we didn't mesh and I won't be using Marshal. I'm sure he's a qualified plumber and he is very polite. But, golly, can we just get down to business? As a consumer, I just really want to know a) how much is this going to cost? b) how long will it take to complete? c) how are you going to accomplish the goal? d) what is your warranty? As Marshal was leaving, another plumber was coming to give me an estimate. Marshal had asked me earlier if I was going to get other bids. Did it matter? Wasn't Marshal going to give me his best price? Is there a different price if I don't get other bids? In any case, Marshal said he'd give me a bid in two to three days. It's been about a month and I never received that estimate. read more

I had a leak coming from my master bath and like I normally do I yelp for that specific service in my area. Make a long story short Marshall plumbing comes up and say to myself why not, I call he says he'll give a free estimate and he'll be by in the morning. He shows up early as I asked and gets to work. He cut a few small holes in the ceiling around the leak and finds the problem. He shows me a cracked "Y" drain pipe that needed to be replaced and that was where the leak was coming from. Mind you that whole time Marshall was thoroughly explaining everything he was doing, he quoted me what I thought was a fair price and fixed my leak. Marshall is very honest and an all around great guy and that's hard combination to find in a person making service calls to your home. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Marshall is an old school gentleman and a terrific plumber. Thorough, efficient, polite to an extreme. He did a variety of plumbing related jobs for us: changed the water pressure regulator, changed a leaking sprinkler valve and moved its location, hooked up the washing machine and gas dryer, tightened loose fixtures, provided sage advice on why not to flush the old water heater, and even helped me carry some non-plumbing loads in from the car, as well as lending a tool to the gardener. Marshall works alone, so he doesn't always answer the phone right away. He will get back to you, and he will be there when he said he would, or call to let you know his status. read more
