I went to Marshall's on 8/12 in Brewster and parked my new car. I came out and a shopping card was plowed into my brand new car. I was furious. Asked Marshall's if the have camera in the parking lot and was told no by a manager named David. So I contacted headquarters and put a claim in. Spoke to the adjuster and she told me they have general liability but does not cover shopping carts damage to cars which I found crazy. So of course I am out $450 due to someone being careless. The adjuster mention that someone does go out and bring the carts back to the store which I told her there is always cart in the parking lot. I am so frustrated that people can't bring the carts back to the store. I am not the only one that had this problem. I wish other individuals would complain about this issue and report it to Marshall's headquarters. read more

I was browsing in the store and saw some pretty sweet deals. They have a nice scented candle selection, but didn't have a lot of good options when it came to the shoes they had in a size 7 1/2. I love looking around, and Marshalls always seems to have a decent vibe though the makeup section was looking a little worse for wears but that will always be the case no matter which Marhalls you go to. I did manage to find a Jimmy Choo perfume for only $40 with the original price being at $255. They also had Versace for $20. That was pretty amazing. When I came to check out I was told that I couldn't enter my number for my rewards/saving account and that I needed to have my physical card there. I know that every store is like that but there aren't any other chains that I go to that have this policy or system. Everyone just lets you punch in your cell phone number and the system looks it up for you. I can say that I'll come here again. read more

This store has definitely improved over the years. Every time I go there I find what I am looking for and even more. Always a stocked store. I love shopping there for myself and for gifts for friends and family. This winter I got two really nice winter jackets one is Michael Kors and the other is Calvin Klein. Looking forward to trying some new hair products I got there today! They are also sanitizing really well. This is for the Carmel ( off I-84), NY LOCATION. KIND OF DISAPPOINTED this trip. The quality of the merchandise like sweaters, blouses, etc. seems very inferior to years past. It's more evident this year. Perhaps it is a supply chain issue but I don't think so. She was selection for ladies was extremely limited and merchandise rose were crammed together making it a bit challenging to navigate and social distance as I still prefer to do. The shopping carts are so tiny that they practically discourage you from buying anything. I was able to find a few things for the holidays but for the most part my trip was quite abbreviated. Yesterday I went to Marshalls in Brewster NY to return a women's top that I purchased last work. This $15.99 top is not fit right. The return experience is very humiliating and stressful. I almost wanted to give up and forget about returning, but I couldn't because I was being accuse something I am not. I need to prove I am innocent. The cashier scanned the tag after I handed her the cloth and receipt. After carefully examined the cloth and receipt, she walked away to other cashier, and talk to more cashiers, one of them took it to the back. After a while they both came back and looked at me seriously and said: the tag and top do not match. This top definitely is not from their store because they don't carry this brand. The tag is right but don't belong to this top. Asked me for explanation. I was in shock. I picked up this top here last week. When I checked out with the cashier last week , there was no problem. What do I know? I cannot explain anything. The tag is not removed or altered since I purchased it. There are security cameras in the store everywhere. Why didn't they take a look before they questioned me and threatened not refunding. I was upset and humiliated insisting checking the security cameras. Until the manager came, she authorized the return. Offer no explanation nor apology. Here are what the store can do before confronting me: 1. Cashier needs to check if the brand match the tag at check out when I purchased it. 2. Store needs to check the security cameras first if they suspected anything wrong with returned merchandise before they confront their customers. Think about it, this could happen to anyone or even you!!! It is a such horrible and humiliating shopping experience. You don't need to prove yourself. That's why they have so many security cameras in the store. But they are not using them. read more

I have to say I have a whole new love for this Marshalls that you can't even imagine. I've come here many times and honestly I've only come here in the past out of convenience. The cashiers were always rude, everything always out of place etc. WELL ever since their reopening a few weeks ago (post covid shutdown) these people have been AMAZING. Not only had they been working nonstop prior to opening but during their opening it was a NON stop hard working team effort. We were greeted with ice cold water bottles as well as a welcome sign for Marshalls customers. It felt like Disney. All their smiling faces (under their masks) really warmed up the whole environment. Every single cashier disinfects after EACH customer. Plexi glass everywhere in between cashiers and customers. Organization top notch. Fitting rooms closed to prevent spread of virus. Everything is in its place and very clean and organized. As much as you try to shop online there are some needs Marshalls has that you just can't get elsewhere. Thank you to the Marshalls staff for being awesome and for opening up and for continuing to keep the store clean for us! Mask enforced and limited amount of people allowed in store. read more

She will yell at you and degrade you like an animal. She not only hurt my feelings today, but also hurt this establishments reputation in my eyes. I was just at Marshall's in Brewster/Southeast NY. I have been going to this Marshall's consistently since the day they opened. Always has been a pleasure. Last week I stopped by and asked if I could return luggage that I purchased but did not have the receipt for. I use it one time and the wheel was completely broken off with one use. I paid $89.99 for it. I came back today with the luggage and when I walked in the polite cashier asked the manager to come over to help me. This was the point things turned bad.. she immediately said if I don't have the receipt how can I prove that I even bought it here, I politely said I could check if u have another and exchange or just get store credit. She then told me u put that thing thru the ringer.. no way.. I used it one time. The wheel is snapped off, unusable anymore. I then said ok I understand and asked if they could get rid of it for me.. she said now way. So I left it near the garbage can outside the store. The manager came outside and screamed, hey you forgot your luggage, I did not respond and continued to my car at which time she scream TRASH across the parking lot. Like I said I have been going to the Marshall's for over 10 years. And this is the first bad experience I have had, not sure why she was so annoyed and disrespectful but wonder how she treats her staff if that's how she treats someone who spends thousands a year there​ read more

I was in Marshalls today doing some Christmas shopping when me and my boyfriend overheard two very nasty workers being extremely rude to a young boy that also works there with special needs. They were very short with him and just being downright disrespectful we had said something to the manager (who was being rude) because we were so angry. It just shows how she was discriminating against a special needs employee. It was disgusting and I will not be going back until this issue is fixed. If we were able to witness this who knows how many people hear this going on and don't say anything. Totally disrespectful. And to be a manager doing these things? I don't like writing bad reviews but this needs to be known. I used to love shopping here. Not anymore! Last couple of visits were horrible. Store is a mess. Clothes on the floor, Dunkin' Donut coffee cups left on shelves. Kids are always always running through the clothes and around the store ( as I hear, I'm assuming their parents screaming to stop etc) I know there's only so much the staff can control but this place has gone down hill! I don't really know why this marshalls has such bad reviews. I think they are pretty fantastic! I came in here today while on an outing with my boyfriend because I was super cold and realized I needed a jacket since we were going to be outside for a good portion of the day. We weren't in here for very long, because my boyfriend was kind of rushing me since we were going to be late for where we were trying to go. I was able to find the jacket section very quickly, everything was well clean and well organized. They also had a separate clearance jacket section which I loved. Going to check out was very fast and efficient. The cashier here was super friendly and did not push me into getting their credit card which I always hate. read more

The store is poorly setup to shop...there is no order to how the merchandise is organized... Everything is just thrown out on the shelves & racks... Large store, but there isn't a lot in here. It's by always clean and can be a big mess. What irks me are the workers in the evening. They are usually young kids who are messing around, cursing and being obnoxious. I've heard them be snippy to the customers. This isn't a playground. Terrible manager! Donna Crawford, wouldnt let us in the shop within 20 minutes of closing. If you google marshalls at this location it says they close at 11pm on sundays, i showed her the store hours on the page that they can control. About a week ago i was at marshalls and chaos ensued! The store has a great selection of items that i was impressed with. However the environment was uncomfortable. I walked past the shoe section to see two employees screaming and cursing at each other I walked out and read the employee name tag her name was Carol I wanted to continue shopping but the yelling really scared my children they started crying up a storm so i had inconveniently put all my stuff back while trying to control 2 terrified toddlers. Thank you Carol for ruining my day. Had to go back home empty handed all because of this trashy,obnoxious,unprofessional grown women. regardless of what happened management needs to do something about this women. Its a shame because i love marshals i will never return to Brewster marshals all because of one woman. My favorite store that i frequent and spend hundreds of dollars is ruined. read more
