I love this Marshalls! This one is one of the best compared to other Marshalls in different cities. Their stock caters more to a younger generation. Such as a large pet section, K-beauty products, planters/pots, and house decor! I always walk away with a bunch of stuff. This store is fairly clean compared to other locations. Extremely LOOOONG line!....2HRS waiting in line!!!...only 2 cashiers open!...HIRE MORE cashiers!!!!...ridiculous!!!

The "manager" with blonde streaks in her hair and a face like a pickle has the worst attitude I've ever seen, even toward her own coworkers. She's one of those employees who thinks she's running the entire company when she could be replaced in a second. First issue I had with her was when I grabbed a 4-pack of underwear priced at $2 and she refused to sell it to me because she said it was the wrong price. What does that have to do with me? That's your store's mistake. Then today, Wednesday July 9 around 8:20 pm, I watched her being rude and snappy to other cashiers too. Like calm down having her keys on her elbow like she's somebody lmaoo On top of that, I found a belt with no sticker, and instead of giving me a price they just tried to charge me the full original price from the manufacturer's tag. This Marshall's always has a long line, it seems short staffed compared to the one in South Gate. When I say long, I mean long, think two to three times longer than your usual Marshals. I rushed over here after going to the pharmacy in Kaiser, and they had the doors locked at 9:25, I still attempted to go in because I had to do a return, but was given an X ‍ arm movement to go away followed by a hand gesture telling me to leave. read more

Came here for a dog leash found two ones that I wanted to purchase and like a lot of items here no price tag, the leashes didn't even have anything on them they were loose! Get to the front to pay paid for my other item the cashier told me to wait on the side while they did a price check okay no problem. I asked her after she rang up her 4th customer how much longer she didn't give a clear answer okay fine still waiting a few minutes go by and someone else came in asked if I was being helped started the process to get a price check I said if it's more than $5 I'm not getting it she was like most likely it is if I was a person with no dignity I could have easily walked out the store with both leashes extremely rude would not come back to this location 0 stars also just checked my receipt and I stood there waiting for 19 minutes!!!! Went to location 5/12/2025 Paid in cashier 3 Everything was going fine till I was paying let's not say the line was long, the young lady was checking out my stuff till she came across an exfoliant she quickly turned around ask one of her co workers to take off the red clearance label of the item she notified me the price isn't accurate I told her then why would they label wrong it and proceeded with it's 12.99 would you like this item , pricing wasn't the issue they made it seem like I put the label there fyi impossible since I been carrying a baby on a tush baby the WHOLE time while I was in the store I believe they should've honored the price I'm not going to argue over 3$ but messed up how they had an attitude didn't even apologize for the error and didn't use logistics(me holding a baby impossible to switch pricing ) before giving attitude infront of my kid and mom after Mother's Day! This Marshall's has plenty of parking but the inventory can be a hit or miss. Lines can be long on busy days. This location has no layaway. Close to other stores and restaurants and near a major freeway. Sometimes you will get lucky if you find something you really like. read more

Huge open-air mall. Large parking area. Many shops and eateries. Clean and well maintained, large selection for all shopping needs. This Marshall's is clean well staffed and people/ shoppers are welcoming and care for the cleanliness of the store, all areas looked very orderly and dressing rooms were clean and refreshing. You already know what Marshalls is about... Long lines, a little messy, a little grungy, & at times a little crazy. So Downey's Marshalls has still got to be the best Marshalls at least within a 10 mile radius. I have never had an issue with the employees here. Part of that may have to do with my personality and how I approach people. I don't expect to get much help at stores like this since it's like a free-for-all, fend-for-yourself-on-the-best-deals type of retailer. GOOD TO KNOW I would recommend getting the TJ Maxx rewards card. I received emails about promo dates... I've gotten free reusable shopping bags, $10 gift cards, and snack breakfast items on those dates. Read the fine print. Get there as early as possible. Good luck! ANOTHER TIP Stores like Marshalls don't always have the duds (slightly misalingned seams, snags, imperfections, etc.) for sale, but you do have to sort through them & get lucky. They usually mark the clothes that are dud quality on the inside in weird places. If you have no attention to detail, then this aspect won't apply to you... Parking absolutely SUCKS at Downey Landing sometimes, so just be patient... Downey is like a gateway center for all the other cities surrounding it. My girlfriend and I enjoying shopping at this Marshall's. It is for me one of the best Marshall's in all of Los Angeles. The employees are nice, friendly, and usually willing to help you out with anything that you're looking for. They have a great selection of everything! And the store is clean and organized. I like the store but I don't think management cares about customers waiting in line. I say this because I've been here on busy times and not busy times and they will only have one register open. They call for help after 15-20 min. It seems it takes a long time for help to appear at register. I guess they need staff monitoring the line. Feast or famine with registers here .. Stop hiring HIGH SCHOOL KIDS THAT DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN THE REGISTERS! Be prepared to stay in line for 20 minutes. Marshall's is one of my favorite stores to go to, but this one is NOT. I should of read the reviews before entering. While shopping, I had to use their restroom. I've never seen a restroom so disgusting like the one at this Marshall's (check out the pic) and the handicap stall was not in service and from the looks of it, it seemed as if it had been out of service for a long time. I like to come here and peruse the aisles for discounted shoes and workout clothes. I've scored some pretty awesome things here especially since I am on a budget. This Marshalls is more organized than other Marshalls I have been to and have a pretty decent selection for the size of the store. If you don't mind spending a decent amount of time searching through the aisles to find something that you like. I've found some pretty nice workout pants for $9 and super cute sandals for under $20. You can't beat prices like that. The lines are sometimes pretty long but the cashiers are pretty quick with ringing people up and getting everyone out. Parking has been pretty decent when I have shopped here, except during the holiday season when everyone is trying to get some last minute presents. read more

Better than the Pico Rivera and Bell Gardens Marshalls by far. Don't get me wrong! I HATE shopping at Marshalls. I only shop here if I absolutely HAVE to. I am just trying to do a service to Marshalls shoppers in my area. The selection here is as good as the Marshalls near The Grove. Bear in mind that the Marshalls by The Grove is a little bigger and probably has better items and selection since it is close to some of the more affluent areas of town. I don't know why people complain about its tidiness. Just about any Marshalls is GROSS! Long lines? Why complain at these kinds of places? You get what you pay for so just grin and bear it! Ehhh. The store was a bit on the messier side. Plus, our interaction with the cashier was awful. Here's pretty much how it went... Cashier: (In a sad, stressed, soft voice) "Next..." (We go up to the register, and we put our three items in the counter. Nothing is said as cashier rings up the items.) Cashier: (In same sad, stressed, soft voice) "Your total is $23..." (I can't remember the exact price. So, we pay her. She gives us our change and receipt. She leaves the bag on the counter, and...) Cashier: (In same sad, stressed, soft voice) "Next..." That's it. I don't usually shop here because people tell me about the horrendous long lines and I don't like waiting behind 500 people. Anyway I gave it a shot. My god! I know it is a discount store, but it is so messy. I had a customer stand thisclose to me. I had to look at her and with a funk in my voice, I said "Excuse me". Oh wait, let's not mention the 3 employees who magically appeared as I was browsing through the clothes. Are they expecting me to steal? I wonder. I left that alone. I got some good deals and left the store paying $4. Which I was happy about. This is a pretty average marshalls. They have quite a bit of 'unique' or slightly 'chic' clothes at decent prices. The layout of the store is easy to follow and each section is filled out really well. They aren't the cheapest, that would be Ross in my opinion, but they have nice stuff. My issue with marshalls is that they aren't 'plus size' friendly. And by plus size I'm talking about anyone wearing between a 10+ size and up. And while I get that the store is more like a 'treasure hunt' type shopping...but they should have more sizes. Now for this particular marshalls I do feel that the service at the register is very slow. I've seen service go very fast, especially when the line wraps around, but everytime I come here it is so slow! Bottom line: decent if you are in their size group and want sometjing at a moderate price. Just plan to spend sometime in line. read more

Cons: Cramped floorspace and the longest line you will ever wait in--so long, in fact, that you'll contemplate leaving the store because it's already been ten minutes and there are at least five people in front of you and the two cashiers they have (because there's never more than two, no matter how busy it gets here--even during Christmas) lack a sense of urgency. This used to be a go to store for past season fashion and shoes. Now this store is nothing more than a bin store for what looks like donated clothes and shoes. It started with the shoe section. It used to have a great selection of shoes for men, women and children. It was great if you had growing kids who are tough on shoes. Now the shoe section is 3 racks of crap. Marshall's ... This spot has misc items ... but doesn't stink like a thrift store ... What can I say? Its cool ... If you need a quick shirt to go clubbing, a wedding, a date? Check it out ... they do have name brands ... and the shirt wont smell like Body Odor ... I hit up the bath towels, v necks, ties, button up shirts, shorts ect ... perfect spot especially those on a tight budget ... Quick story ... I've been to a Department store ... browsed around, and saw a shit that I like ... for around 60 bucks ... I said, "Damn, its a nice shirt and all, but HOTTT DAMN!!!! .... I ain't rolling the in the dough like THAT!!!" So I decided to pass on it ... I decided to hit up this Marshalls, and I found the same shirt for 20 BUCKS!!! REAL TALK!!!! ...
