I live in the Bay Area with a dear friend in Redding. It was her birthday. I prefer to use local florists instead of 1-800-YOU GET WHAT YOU GET, so I gave Yelp a look. I chose Marshall's. They delivered in the early iAM so the birthday flowers could be enjoyed all day. The recipient was surprised and thrilled. She reported daily for a couple of weeks that the flowers were still going strong and for that I was appreciative. Thanks for makin' me look so good, Marshall's. read more

I originally went to Marshall's back in December 2018 for a bouquet for my save the date photoshoot. I was so so specific about what I wanted and they executed FLAWLESSLY. The customer service was also amazing. Any little change I wanted - done. My best friend just went into labor and I wanted to send flowers - immediately thought to give Marshall's a call. Again - being specific about the look I wanted - they took it and ran. Even over the phone! I wasn't able to see the arrangement at all and they were so helpful describing the flowers and colors to make sure it was just what I wanted. AND THEY DELIVERED SAME DAY. Mere hours later! Where do I start, HUE was amazing! I met him at the Redding Bridal Show last August. And he insisted on helping me for my big day! Hue met with me a couple times and always stayed in touch to make sure if there were any changes, that he would be in the know. Hue worked with my budget, and for a wedding all the way up in McCloud CA, he was willing to travel all that way to make sure my flowers were set up correctly and just how I wanted them to be. For the arrangements, he knew and listened to exactly what I wanted! Mostly greenery (to not take away from the beautiful venue), and white and quicksand roses. Oh gosh, they were beautiful! So much thought and detail went into all of my arrangements. From the boutonnières, bridal bouquet, arbor, bridesmaid bouquets, and it wasn't a small wedding either. (This was also an outdoor spring wedding in Siskiyou County. So we had, sun, wind, rain and snow on our big day! AND ALL FLOWERS STAYED FRESH!) As a bride, it was important for me to let him know and speak up if I didn't like something. Hence, the couple appointments just to ensure I loved everything we had planned to do. As for this business, I refer all of my friends getting married in the Redding area to. Hue and everyone at Marshall's Florist, truly went above and beyond to make my spring wedding so special. So thank you, for everything. Tips for you brides-to-be: do your due diligence, check in with your vendors. If you only meet with them once, pay for your flowers, never check in with them, and just expect everything to fall into place the day of, you're dead wrong. read more

I made the BEST decision of choosing Marshalls for my wedding florals this past Spring. My husband and I had the privilege of working with Hue to determine exactly what we were looking for. Hieu discussed everything on the phone with us before meeting to talk out details in person (we don't live locally) and then he flawlessly created the perfect bouquets for my wedding in April 2019. We gave him a lot of creative liberty, trusting his expertise with design and I couldn't have imagined a better design then what was provided. Hue was nice enough to let me send him color inspirations and design ideas I had and would also get back to me quickly to give input on my latest idea or question. We don't live locally, so Hue's responsiveness and professionalism were very helpful in getting to accomplish what we needed to without being in the area. Let's start with what you did get right....nothing. You are lucky you get 1 star because Yelp doesn't have a ZERO. The worse bridal bouquet I have ever seen!!!! I literally had the delivered and immediately went to my mother and said "MOM HELP!" I I had a long extensive meeting with the florist where they took down notes & I had said DO NOT USE RED FLOWERS. My bouquet was red!! I asked for soft blush tones, peonies, & these dark dark blood/wine/kinda purple flowers. The flowers were wilted. Plastic holders exposed. I had to add silk flowers that were left over from decoration and put my own ribbon on it and fix them. Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, Maid of Honor & both Grandma's wrist corsages broke while putting on. The men's boutonnières were delivered to the wrong place. They were rude to my Day Coordinator and I will be demanding from the owner a full refund. I am so heated that they are getting this review the day after my wedding. You guys were horrible. I did marry the man of dreams who made everything perfect but Marshall's on the other hand, nothing was even remotely good about you. Dream killers. Brides stay away !!!!! Head my word. So I never ever do this whole Yelp thing, but I think with what has happened everyone should know. My husband and I got married October 19th 2019. So almost a month ago. I LOVE flowers and everyone told me how amazing Marshalls flourist was so I of course went in to talk to them. Well I met Brittney at a bridal show and she was great. I came into the shop the next week to what I thought would to be to see her. She wasn't there so I talked with Hue. No big deal I absolutely loved him and he was amazing. Well I gave them my flower ideas and he helped create something. I went home happy. Then about a week or 2 later things happened and we had to change the flowers and went an easier way. Well I'll upload the pictures to what was on our contract lol. I wanted roses, sunflowers and wildflowers due to it being a field wedding/ country. Well in the contract this was suppose to be my cake flowers the 3 layered cake with a wreath. However I was given horrible half dead flowers. Okay so next thing, as I said earlier my flowers were roses, sunflower, and wild flowers. When asked if purple flowers could be added a strongly said no thank you. I do not like purple and thought what I gave them would tie everything in together perfectly. So arbor peice I asked for 2 pieces. With again sunflowers roses and wild flower with greenery. Well this is what I saw as I walked down the aisle. So next thing was my bridal bouquet so it was good. Not great but good. It had the roses and sunflowers but not even kidding you, after my first look with my dad the flowers started dying!!! It was so embarrassing. I had to forcefully HOLD the sunflower and roses into place with ONE HAND!! I was so upset and then i see The arbor was wrong. So then we go down to the reception. Well on the tables what do I see? Sunflowers and IRIS FLOWERS! I couldn't even believe it!! No baby's breath nothing. So at that point I gave up. Just couldn't let it ruin my night. Well then comes the bouquet toss. Hard to mess that up right? WRONG. I paid for a small bouquet to throw would have been nice if it was there right? My wedding planner had no idea where it was so she had to take flowers off of a table and wrap it up for me to throw. Yep. So then the next day as we're cleaning up, we find the bouquet. In a vase in the kitchen under the counter.... I mean WHAT!? So then fast forward we go on our honeymoon and come back to meet with Brittney. Well she asks to meet next Monday so now i have to wait even longer to figure out why they messed up so bad. She ends up on that Monday texting me saying she's having personal issues which I won't go into. So I tell her we don't need to meet but a refund is what would be right. She says the BEST she could do was 95$ TOTAL. wow. I couldn't even believe the disgust from that. So after fighting with her all day she text me and goes okay " after talking to the owners the best I can do is 220$" again I spent about 1000$ here and that's not even half of my money for the HUGE mistake they made. So I hope I don't sound like a brideZILLA cause I swear I wasn't, but heres the thing, I paid almost 1000$ for all of these flowers and nothing was done correct. This was my wedding and I love flowers it was honestly the thing I was the most exabout to her and it was just such a huge let down. I have no heard back from Marshall's since I told them a half refund would be the right thing to do and that if nothing was don't reporting to the better business bureau was our next step. read more

Came in late one night because I forgot my mothers birthday and she loves flowers. Stop by Marshalls because it was on my way home. Hue was there and he helped picked out some flowers and also arranged them for me. By the time I got out of the store it was about 5:45 and he said that he will deliver it to my mother on his way home! I was so grateful because I could of took the bouquet myself but it was more special that it was hand delivered! Thanks to Hue and Marshalls florist!! Hue at Marshalls is beyond amazing, professional, kind and accommodating!!!! 4Weeks before our daughters wedding, our original florist backed out on us. I live 5.5hours away from Redding. Frantically I called Marshalls at a friends recommendation. Hue answered, and put all my fears to rest. He listened, and reassured me that he could meet all our expectations, and that there was plenty of time. Over the next three weeks he texted, called, sent pictures, adjusted, and rearranged floral arrangements happily. Three days before the wedding we finally came up with the perfect floral arrangements. He ( and the staff) made 22 centerpieces, 2 large sprays, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, 8 boutonnières, 8 wrist corsages, the brides bouquet, etc. Hue surpassed my expectations! My parents and I ordered flowers for a close family friend who lost her son and we spent a decent amount of $100. After receiving a photo of the delivered flowers they were not anywhere close to a $100, also the presentation was far from fair. As customers for many years, we called the florist to let them know we were not satisfy. After speaking with a gentlemen on the phone he proceeded to say there might have not been many flower because maybe the flowers chosen were expense. Having chosen this florist for a mourning mother, I wasn't satisfied in their answer of "mights" and "maybes". They did offer to send another arrangement out but I wasn't going to send yet another one out when this mourning Mom is dealing with so much. read more

My husband went in to hand pick some flowers for my Valentine's day bouquet. He picked out exactly what he wanted and told them he would return the next day to pick them up. When he arrived the next day no flowers ready and they had no idea about his order. He finally got a lady to make him what he wanted. They were beautiful but less than 2 days later they were mostly dead. I took them back and the graciously made me a new arrangement and said they had got some bad roses. The new arrangement was not as beautiful as the original one but I took it anyways and 3 days later it is mostly dead too. I'm very disappointed and will not be a returning customer. read more

Ordered flowers for Mother's Day for my mother in law a beautiful purple and violet roses. They called on 5/9 the day the flowers were supposed to be delivered, and said they ran out of the flowers and wanted to Substitute the flowers with different arrangement. I asked what was in the arrangement and they just kept saying designers choice. So I asked for a refund. I live in Victorville ca my mother in law did not receive a gift. The young lady (Chelsea) that I spoke to was curt and above all very rude! Shop else where and avoid the aggravation, there are many other options out there and this isn't one of them! Best service I've had! I was thoroughly talked to for 20 minutes, just making sure they knew exactly what I wanted for my corsage for prom, and I came in less than a week in advance. Usually at florists, for corsages, they only let you choose from roses, carnations, and orchids. But he said we could do any flower. There were many different choices of bracelets and ribbon. Patrick (who helped me) was so sweet and truly a good listener! I definitely recommend coming here for any flowers, corsages, etc! read more
