They have never cut our backyard to our liking and my husband consistently cuts our backyard every weekend even though it is cut by Dixson on Mondays because the grass is never cut short enough. They are also hit or miss (even when the weather is good) on when they are coming out and never bother to communicate with you. This is important to us because we have to leave our fence unlocked and make sure cars are moved so they can access our backyard. My husband was pushed over the edge a few weeks ago when he received a bill for $30 for a cut that never happened. We have security cameras, 2 in front of our house and 2 in the back. We would have known if our grass was cut. My husband reached out over and over again and was finally told that the "GPS shows they were at our house". Maybe they were and didn't cut? Who knows! Either way we have been excellent customers and why in the world would we all of a sudden lie to save $30??? We received another bill without being contacted again by the owner. I called Blue Valley and Brett answered right away and I could tell was on a job too; he said he'd come by to give me an estimate. When I spoke with him I could tell he was a very upright type of guy and would also do a good job. He told me he had commercial mowers and wouldn't be able to get inside a 3 foot gate for a smaller area that needed mowing but the majority of my lawn could be accessed so I'd told him to come by and do the estimate anyway but that I'd call him back if I found someone else. I found another company that came out in the evening and I completely forgot to call him back. I was swamped with work but there is no excuse for me not calling him back. I added to his workload. Brett came by and saw my lawn was cut; he called me and spoke with me very professionally. There's no shadow of a doubt that I would call Blue Valley Lawn again to do any kind of lawn or landscaping type of work and expect the best.
