Really, the only thing I don't like about Marshalls is how popular they are, because that means they are busy and there are people everywhere, but somehow they always keep the place pretty straight and organized, all while the constant chaos of people grabbing and put things back happens through every square foot of the store. They won't always have what you want or need, but they have such a wide selection of items. The service as this location has significantly declined (sorry to say). Looooooong checkout lines. Slow service. Grossly insufficient number of checkout stands open. They don't care about customer service, and it appears the store purposely forces people to wait in line. Out of 10 checkout stands, only 2 or 3 are typically open. The staff provides mediocre (at best) customer service. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars (as opposed to just 1) -- is because of a good variety of merchandise. Otherwise, dear store manager: you might want to step up your Customer Service, and ensure that more checkout stands are open. No need to demonstrate a Soviet type of service. Thank you! read more

I've been coming to this spot for many years and today was unexpected and unpleasant. When I walked to my car there was a ticket on my windshield. Me and other drivers were shock that we gotten a ticket when it has never happen before. Apparently it's a new system in which they have failed to put up a sign on the entrance. You now have to scan the QR code prior to going into the store, otherwise it's $25. Regular customers had no idea of this new parking system. For those that want to continue to come here, make sure to scan the QR code and register your car before even going into the store. read more

She then said thank you, I said I am going to leave a review. She said ok, with arrogance. I then asked her to call the manager. I will not comeback here. Today I grabbed a heavy item off a shelf at Marshalls and hauled it to the register. It was marked down significantly because it had a huge crack in it. It was so heavy I had to scoot and drag it to the line, inching it forward all the way to checkout. It took forever. When I finally got to the front, the worker told me the item had been marked as trash and couldn't be sold--they were required to throw it away. I explained that it was on the shelf with a markdown sticker clearly indicating damage, but she said there was nothing she could do. It had to be thrown out. Marshalls would rather toss a perfectly usable item in the dumpster than let someone from the local community--someone who wants it--buy it. Even worse, someone on their team actually put a sticker on it, labeled it with a damaged discount, and placed it on the shelf. So some poor customer (me) ends up dragging this trash-damned, heavy-ass item to the register... for nothing. And the manager's response? "Oh well. Too bad. It's going in the dumpster. Have a nice day." Not the worker's fault--but it is a reflection of a wasteful, frustrating, and frankly crappy company policy. read more

This Marshall's is a boutique compared to others in LA, but is usually well kept up and put together with some odd organization choices at times. They have security right when you walk in that's usually always friendly maybe even more so than the sales clerks who are personable. I noticed the quality is a step up from discount clothing, electronics, snacks, seasonal items, kitchenware, bedding, bath, and most home good stores like Ross Dress for Less but the variety is more sparse. This is usually my go to Marshall's in LA and despite being limited I always manage to find something I want and/or was looking for. While the line builds up at checkout you won't wait as long as you'd think... They do their best to keep it moving. The women's department blends in with men's because of the size and scale of their layout. The shoes are okay, not a big variety for anyone, however you might get lucky. The home decor item isles are very narrow... I avoid carts for most departments/areas here #customertrafficjam near rugs. Plenty of parking in the shared lot with Farmer Boys and Petco. You can take the stairs or the elevator coming in or out as well as the main front sliding glass doors on Western. I come to this Marshalls very often with my mom. They have great selections here. You can often find designer stuff here. Employees are really nice, and there was a really pretty girl with a pixie cut/short hair who was really nice and welcoming. I LOVE a good sale/deal and you can definitely find it here as long as you have the patience to look through stuff. The racks and shelves are pretty organized so it wasn't hard to find some good stuff in the exercise clothes section, women's tops area, and dog beds aisle. Prices are very reasonable compared to the original price. You unfortunately can't try on any clothes though due to COVID-19, but you have 30 days to try it on and return it with money back guarantee as long as you have your receipt. I love waiting in their line because they always put all these goodies that you can look at and decide whether or not you want to purchase before you get to the checkout stand. Water bottles, jeans, mugs, sports goods, underwear, sour candies, pans and pots, seasonings, towels, sheets, backpacks, shorts, and many other things. Parking is easy, you can park upstairs and take the elevator down to the entrance. Check out is fast and the 28-year-old manager helped me today. He was good and so was everyone else. Located right on Hollywood Blvd close to the Chinese Theater, this hidden spot is great to pop in and check out what new finds there are. The entrance from the street leads you up the escalator to a 2nd floor locations. The staff is very friendly, and some of the best I've come across when visiting Marshall's stores. Employees are helpful when you need it and typically greet you as you enter/exit. Security is on point to keep out the homeless who wander the area, and keep your shopping experience pleasant. While this location is smaller, and may not have as many choices depending what knick knacks you may be looking for, the shelves are fairly neat and overflow is stocked onto tables. Overall a clean store with great employees. Only downside is the parking is either paid a street parking about a 1/2 block or more in either direction or lots of varying pricing farther away. In essence, if you're not already in the area for something, I would not say to make a trip here as the parking can be frustrating along with the general crowds of tourists that may be along Hollywood Blvd. and the related traffic, even though it is a lot less during pandemic. read more

Very saddened and disappointed with this store today, I usually go to this one because it's my home store I've never had an issue, so today I went early in the morning when they opened and I put some items on hold because my to leave to take my son to the restroom, mind you there restroom is out of service so I had to leave and return when I came back the girl the helped me told me am sorry I've put back some of your items back I went crazy trough the store looking for the items she "put back" but I know she stored them for herself or the other worker I was very upset about the situation because it we only one item she held for me it was a very weird one encounter don't want to go to this one anymore ever. I'll be honest. This Marshall's doesn't have a fabulous clearance section like some others do. I go straight to the clearance section at every Marshall's. You know what I'm sayin, ladies?? So I would only give it 3 stars based on this. BUT, the fact that it is one of the few major stores to hit the increasingly gentrifying Hollywood/Western neighborhood ears an extra star. For those of us who live near and in the vicinity, it's been a huge life saver many times, like when you realize on Christmas Eve that you still haven't bought Christmas gifts for anyone yet. Marshall's to the rescue! And the fact that it is attached to a Petco where you can visit the kittens and cats up for adoption as part of your routine visit to Marshall's is a bonus. This Marshall's is in the same building and shares a parking lot with a pet shop. So, I actually came to this address to go to the pet shot and buy some stuff for my cat but decided to take a look inside this Marshall's as well. Legend goes that if you are heart is pure and you search hard enough, you will find something of use here, even if you don't really need anything. Not much else to say I guess, other than the fact that this is a nice store, probably the neatest most organized Marshall's I have ever been to. People working here were nice enough. I am a huge bargain shopper and this location on Hollywood Blvd. is two miles away from another Marshalls also on the same street. They validate your parking, but the past two times I've been here, the parking machine was broken so even better! Parking entrance is on Western. Take the stairs or elevator down to the first floor and you'll see Marshalls and Petco. This Marshalls has got to be the busiest one I've been to yet. It's right across a red line train station stop and multiple bus stops, so I'm assuming that's one factor as to why it is a popular location. I feel as if the store could be better lit in comparison to other Marshalls. Because the store has high ceilings, the lights are placed higher up. It makes me feel even more cramped because lighting is poor. Even more so, the clothes aisles barely have space in between each other, so now you got a bunch of people shopping in the same aisle and clothes on your sides. This Marshalls could be better organized. Speaking of organized, it's a hot mess with clutter everywhere. Selection is alright, just like any other Marshalls. Selection varies by location and stock. This location doesn't have The Runway, which I'm fine with, but I was able to find Darn Tough hiking socks and a dress for clearance. Checkout takes forever because there were so many shoppers, but there were a lot of employees busting their butts off to assist. Bravo to them! Other than that, it was an okay location and shopping experience. This may be my least preferred location just because of how crowded it was and how cramped I felt. I frequent this particular Marshalls as it's the closest to my home and have developed a love for Rae Dunn products. I love this store because it's always well merchandised, great assortment, and friendly staff. Today was an exception. I'm a clearance shopper and found an item in the clearance section that had a red tag for $3, I was so excited. I found the matching pair for $9.99 and got it as well as I felt I was still getting a bargain even though the second item was regular priced. I also selected two other items. As I approached the register I was greeted by the cashier and proceeded to check out. She mentioned that the item needed to be relabeled as she was not able to scan the barcode (understandably). She needed assistance and had her colleague go to the sales floor and get another item or similar item (after I told her it was the last item in the clearance section). She peeled off the label and created another one for $8. I told her the label clearly said $3 and that it should be honored. She proceeded to get the attention of the "Coordinator" who walked over and said that it's incorrect as the first markdown is $8. As a consumer and long time retail executive for luxury sales, I'm fully aware of CA state consumer laws, the error was not mine and should have been honored as the label was marked $3. Nothing was done to correct it, instead I asked her to remove both items from the tender and finished my transaction as I was in no mood to educate her on consumer laws.
