We LOVE shopping at Marshall's. It's dangerous how you can go in with nothing really NEEDED and leave with stuff you actually did need. Haha. Was looking for unscented deodorant... kind of a hard to find item. I've gotten some at a Marshall's before so I figured I'd try. Unfortunately, didn't find it here. I DID find some fragrance free travel sized shampoo for $3 as well as a $28 bottle of Laura Mercier Pure Setting Spray for $13. I got my child a 2-pack of shorts for $10. Unfortunately, one pair's stitching came out after one day. (Ugh). I'll have to mend them once we get home. Not the highest quality merchandise. Store was pretty well organized and clean. What happened to this store? I haven't been in there in several years and what a disappointment . They used to have lots of name brand items but apparently not any more. While looking through the jeans, tops and dresses, I saw one name brand item and it didn't even look like the quality associated with that brand. There were about 20 people in line with 2 cashiers. I said " so you are busy today" to which the cashier said that it's always like that. How sad , I won't be returning. read more

Impressed by this Marshall's! I have been on the hunt for some wedding guest and concert dresses recently, and Marshall's really came through. Not only that, but the staff here is kind and make processing my (many) returns super easy. They still don't have dressing rooms open, so I grabbed ~10 potential dresses and outfit options. I was shocked by the number of dresses I found that we're gorgeous and in my size. The clearance rack and dress shop at the back both had a lot of lovely floral options, along with some more formal wear. I ended up keeping a jumpsuit and floral sundress, but everything was really high quality and Marshall's typical low prices. Everything was under $30! You have to have patience at this location and leave yourself a little bit of time to find the gems amongst some of the less savory items and outfits. I love each department and find I am always likely to find what I am looking for. read more

This Marshall's goes way back. It's much bigger than you realize from the outside. This results in a huge selection of clothing and a huge pet section. I found it super well organized and very well maintained. It was an extremely busy store, perhaps because so large or perhaps because it was a holiday weekend. Not sure. But the aisles have plenty of room and are easy to navigate. The checkout went fast. 3 stars for this large chain. I default chains to 3 stars as they must be A-OK to expand as they have. read more

Stopped in to look for some gift items for an upcoming house party. Easy in and out on Monroe Ave, conveniently located. Clothes & home goods are the main items at discount prices which is a plus. Stock seems hit or miss, sometimes it's well stocked with a great selection, other times it seems picked over, either way I always seem to find something. Also great is it's close to another store, Home Sense right next door so plenty of shopping options, if one doesn't have it, the other will. This is a fun store to walk around for 15-20 minutes, browsing, finding a deal you just have to have! lol read more

Many goods there and clothes to shop at good price . However some employees seem not very friendly when I ask them something if they have more items in the back room. They gave me the attitude which I am not appreciate the treatment. Items aren't very organized and it could be a lot of customers came all day and employees may not able to keep it up. I'm just a guy who tags along with the wife and daughter when they go shopping and secretly enjoys each trip while protesting outwardly. This was a great Marshall's! Lots of Rae Dunn items when I went. Also went looking for some shorts for my boyfriend to play disc golf in. Found some Calloway branded items which we got for a steal! Loved that it was right next door to a HomeSense as well. It's around some pretty good stores as well so if you wanted to go shopping around there were quite a few stores in the area. The associates were very nice and welcomed you, offered you a clean cart, willing to help, and the cashier was incredibly bubbly and friendly also. There are a ton of work out clothes here if that's what you need but the rest of the store lacks a good variety of clothing. For example, I could only find one brand of leggings. Also, it may just be me, but I find the layout confusing. They seem to have several sections of the same type of clothing in the same size but in several different places and I couldn't figure out what the difference was so I had to basically read every row's sign and look at almost everything just to look at items in my size. They are starting to add more home goods to this location, sort of like Home Goods, as they had a bit of chairs and desks and other furniture that I haven't seen in the past. read more

I live at this store. I'm not joking when I say I come here once a week. They have the best shoe selection, I mean it's huge! It's a battle going through the clothing sections, but it's best to come when you're looking for specific things. It takes some patience. I also buy all my kitchen supplies here - they have great brands like Cuisinart and Calphalon. Plus tons of candles from Yankee Candle. And I'm pretty sure they restock on Tuesday evenings so plan a visit on Weds. or Thurs. - you will jump for joy to get first pick of all the new inventory they bring in. read more

Do you have at least 2 hours of free time? Do you feel like you have patience to spare? Do you have your comfy shoes on? If so, Marshall's is a great place to scour poorly organized racks of clothing and randomly sorted shoe displays to find some legit deals. Their kitchen/home area usually has good deals on pots and decorative items. However...you must be in the scouring mood. Most times, I wish women's clothes were sorted like men's clothing is in Men's Wearhouse (by colour + style) so I do not shop at Marshall's often. But every now and then, I get the shopping bug and hit up the store. I almost always score some good deals. I am also very annoyed at people and lack of organization/sorting in the store by the end of the trip but hey, cute + cheap clothes are worth it (sometimes)! read more

This is my go-to Marshall's in Rochester. It's well organized, it has a variety of men's clothing options and it's close to home. I am not a retail price buying type of person, so going to Marshall's is right up my alley. However the lighting is a bit off putting, and the inside needs a coat of paint. read more

I think since childhood I have probably been to this Marshall's 500x or more - my mom has always loved it and definitely passed on the bargain-shopping bug to me! GREAT selection and discounts, but that's Marshall's. My favorite part about this store is definitely their re-vamping of the shoe section - it's heavennnn and there were definitely shoes there yesterday that I saw at Lord & Taylor Monday. Amazinggg. I also love their home goods section, of course it's not as amazing as an entire store of home goods but they always have great hair care products, olive bs truffle oils, Woodwick candles, and so many wine glasses! I always check here first when I need something rather than paying double somewhere else. I struggle a little bit with the clothes just because there are so many and it is very time consuming to work through them all. You need to come mentally prepared. Or if you're like me, you can shop around the edges and in the dresses for some good stuff too! :) Great place, lock your doors and hide your belongings in the parking lot though since there have been some car break-ins over the years in this lot. This place is definitely a hidden gem where you can find some designer clothes and shoes at times for good prices. There is only one rule; if you find something exceptional, go for it right away. Hesitate and someone else will take it before you notice and they do not always restock the same items. The home section is always amazing and I end up buying something I don't necessarily need just because they look pretty. You have to be patient though to search through hundreds of clothing items poorly organized to find the perfect deal. The Marshall's on Monroe Avenue is the best of them all. I have even seen Dior and Gucci shoes in here on rare occasions. I feel like you can find some amazing deals when the season is changing and their inventory is being fully restocked. read more

On a recent visit to this store, I realized that while Marshalls is good for a lot of things, including cheap socks, ties, boxer briefs (in-box only), belts, pots, pans, and spatulas, there are some items you should definitely NOT buy from this store. Here are a few examples: - Jarred seafood dip (gross) - Mesh shorts (I know they're only 5 bucks, but do those 3XLs really fit, gangsta?) - Impulse food items (resist the temptation to grab the Godiva chocolate covered espresso beans, the Starbucks mints, and/or the lobster-shaped gummies as you check out; they're not worth it) - Gadgets, exercise equipment, and other items you might find at the Sharper Image (you'll use them either once or never) - Voss Still Water (it's cheaper than in high-end restaurants, but still $2.50 for a bottle of water) - Boxer shorts on hangers (it's highly likely that another guy's wang touched them) - "Fine" cutlery (there's a reason you've never heard of these brands) - Decorative pillows (they're just like regular pillows, but a lot less comfortable) - Soap dishes, toothbrush holders, fancy toilet brushes (okay, I admit, I buy A LOT of these; they're just so fricken classy) - Sunglasses (they'll break as soon as you leave the store) Granted, this critique is written from a male point-of-view. My girlfriend absolutely loves this place (and seems to buy a lot more than she should whenever she comes here), so I'd probably give it four stars if I were a lady. This particular store was recently renovated, making it feel less like a store that sells old stuff from other stores and more like an actual department store. The new dressing rooms are nice and the employees are only slightly disgruntled. Additionally, they recently had 7-ounce bags of Lazzaroni Amaretti Cookies here for just four bucks. Score! read more

Ah.. Marshall's I frequent this location and the one in Henrietta. This particular located across from the Pittsford Plaza. They have parking it is shared with Scott Miller and a few other things. They have a great selection home goods stuff, foods, bath and body.. but I do agree with others on how the clothing is laid out. The handbag selection is great and the shoes too. Candles, pillows, accessories oh my! I got our brand new Christmas Tree Skirt here in October yes I'm that girl. When I see it you better buy it. The other thing is this, you need to have patience here if you know where things are get it my friend but there have been times where I spent an hour or more looking around at things. Sometimes lines can get long but luckily they are able to open up more registers. They have all fabulous nAme brands so don't worry. The prices are very good and they also have a clearance section for home goods stuff, handbags, clothing and etc. Give them a whirl if your not feeling it go across the street to TJMaxx. I love Marshall's. They have a lot of designer clothes that are discounted. There are rows and rows of racks sorted by size, and you can find random nice clothes. The prices aren't super cheap, but they're okay considering they are designer. read more
