I just ran. I ran all night and day. I couldn't get away. It's not the cleanest and it's a little cramped, but the employees here are incredibly nice (or they were when I was here). The cat food here is cheaper than at Dol Gens in other zones, and while they don't have the "good water", it's still a good location of the store. I was here about a week ago, buying $25 worth of cat food for 20. It's a good Dol Gen and has nice service too. I'll give it a very solid 3. I always go to Dollar Generals on Saturdays, and have been to most of the locations in the Rochester and Buffalo areas, and this is one of the better ones.

All the employees in the store were friendly and stocking shelves etc. but when I had a question and needed to get a handbag unlocked someone was there almost immediately. Also, the woman monitoring the fitting room was nearby working on some shelves but when I walked up she popped right over to get me a number so I could try on my clothes. again, she wasn't just standing around. Megan was busy restocking when I spoke with her and she put down what she was doing and helped my mother and I for a good 20 minutes. Megan pulled out various styles and sizes and asked questions to help us find what my mother needed. My mother had a stroke several years ago so with limited mobility and eyesight, it is not easy to shop for clothes. Megan was polite, patient and proactive in anticipating what we were trying achieve and to do it in a timely manner. After selecting three very comfortable and fashionable shorts, we move on to the checkout where Natalie was super helpful in getting me signed up for a Marshall's card and swiftly through the process. When I spoke with Megan and Natalie's manager Nani, to tell her about their kind service, I could see they were led by someone who models good customer service as she was very nice as well. Marshall's has always been a favorite of my mother's due to the value and prices. Today they get excellent marks for customer service!

Not only that, but the staff here is kind and make processing my (many) returns super easy. They still don't have dressing rooms open, so I grabbed ~10 potential dresses and outfit options. I was shocked by the number of dresses I found that we're gorgeous and in my size. The clearance rack and dress shop at the back both had a lot of lovely floral options, along with some more formal wear. I ended up keeping a jumpsuit and floral sundress, but everything was really high quality and Marshall's typical low prices. Everything was under $30! You have to have patience at this location and leave yourself a little bit of time to find the gems amongst some of the less savory items and outfits. I love each department and find I am always likely to find what I am looking for.

Ended up here while looking for wall shelves and similar storage solutions. It was somewhat difficult for me to find what I was looking for. I kept ending up in the unofficial "storage solutions" section, which included over-the-door racks, drawer organizers, shower caddies, and various cabinet organizers. Figuring there had to be something else, I looked for an employee to ask for help and couldn't find anyone. The store was the size of a Wal-Mart, and the whole time I was there, I only saw two employees - one at a checkout counter and one stocking merchandise. Eventually, I asked the latter for help, and they seemed rather uninterested, like I was distracting them from something else. I usually prefer not being approached or guided by employees, but that's not the same as not being able to find any help when you have a question about a product. I did eventually find wall shelves in the "wall decor" section, which held things like picture frames, clocks, and wall art. That's not a problem, I just wish I was able to get help finding it and not have to just wander through the store lost. The shelves, clocks, and other wall installations were really haphazardly organized, as if they'd just been shoved onto the shelves in any random order. There wasn't a lot of variety in them, so we kind of settled for something mostly because we really didn't want to have to go to another home goods store. The store as a whole is... fine, I guess. But between the disorganization and the difficulties in finding anything (including someone to check you out), I wouldn't go there again.
