Popped in for a return yesterday and boy did I regret that decision. I was the 7th person in line and they only had 2 clerks, meanwhile their manager didn't bother to assist. I was fairly patient and at first didn't mind... that was until I saw another 12-15 people behind me now! Something needs to improve in order to get more effectiveness as a business. I would have imagined he'd step in to try and help but nope... no urgency at all. I can't see myself coming back for any purchases worth waiting for that long. read more

I haven't been into a Marshalls store in decades. This visit reminded me exactly why. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but from the moment I walked in, it felt like a glorified garage sale. I wasn't CERT if I should continue to walk into the store or turn around and leave. I decided to be adventurous. The store is incredibly disorganized, it's dirty, and it just feels like a rundown mess. It doesn't matter what section of the store you might be perusing through, everything is incredibly mixed up and mixed in with things to the point that none of it makes sense. They have a toiletry section that literally has shampoo, and what looks to be body gel combined with hair products all together. Is that how people are shopping nowadays?! Then there are other sections that are somewhat perfectly organized, it just looks like everything has been picked through. As a neighborhood store, there's a great mall across the way that has every conceivable store and it's a fun place to shop. This strip center has definitely lower end stores, but they figured with a Nordstrom rack and other stores that this store would be a fun shopping experience. I really wouldn't waste my time stopping in at the store despite of being in a nicer area of Roseville. read more

Devastated, I hadn't gotten paid the week I walked in here because all of the styles they had out were drop-dead gorgeous. I love walking into my favorite department stores and immediately seeing items I would wear instead of having to hunt through "bohemian-hipster" style clothes (which I think is cute... The manager here was so rude and unwelcoming. When we get to the register, she already has a sour face and doesn't bother talking to us. No hello, no welcome in. The whole time she looked so upset trying to help us. Then we had a problem with a return, but the issue was solved. When she finished ringing us up, she just walked away and again didn't say anything like, "Thank you for shopping with us." You work in a customer service job, and you're the manager; you need to set an example for your employees. read more

This store is mid.. I have been here so many times. I just like the fact that their prices are more reasonable than Burlington. I like to come in here for their face & hair products most of the time. I barely shop clothes here. I also like coming here for the aesthetics decor for the home and their candles. Sometimes, stuff for their kitchen or bathroom. It's ALWAYS a hit and miss shopping here since it's basically hand downs from department stores. But it's reasonable on a budget to shop. I think this store is clean for the most part. It's not too disorganized. The employees here are helpful for the most part and not rude. I usually shop here if I am not getting much from Burlington or when I am comparing prices. It's best to shop here during lunch time I feel, as there is more products and items to sift through versus close to closing shift. I also noticed their bathrooms are also clean for the most times I have visited this store. I am just glad this store exists when I need to budget shop for name brands. I definitely enjoy the decor items they have to offer too when it's time to re-decorate parts of the home. read more

Probably the best discount department store in the area, in my opinion. Store has a section for everyone so when I take my family shopping I 9 out of 10 times never have to make a second stop. My kids always get their toys, my wife her new outfits for the week, and I get my sneakers. Luckily cause of the low prices I can get multiple pairs for a very good price. read more

This Marshalls store is one of the better-organized stores. I guess it is because they're right next to Nordstrom Rack. So the items they carry are better than some of the Marshalls in the area too! The price of the merchandise is a little less than the Nordstrom Rack next door. I found a few of the same items in both stores. Marshalls is a little bit cheaper. The store has the minimum amount of service provided. You find what you want and pay for it at the checkout counter. Same as most of the discount stores! read more

My mom and I decided to come in here today I was in a search for some new work shoes and I like getting them from tjmaxx and marshals very affordable well the staff working was not friendly at all just walked right by me didn't smile or anything you work retail you make eye contact you smile anyways so I was looking at a pair of shoes that I was interested in and I noticed how dirty the bottom was and I could tell that someone had returned them you could tell and so i found my mom and I showed her the pair of shoes I was interested in and I told her it looks like someone returned them And she looked and said yes it does so I went to the dressing room and showed the guy who was working and I told him you could tell these shoes are used and I asked is there anyway to offer a discount on them given the condition he explained he couldn't do anything but a manager might be able to and the other employee who was working made the comment you can go be confrontational with them I was caught off guard by her wise comment I did not even raise my voice really she would have known if I did just saying so I followed up the employee who asked his manager if the shoes could be discounted because they where the obviously returned and the price marked on the shoes was $59.99 and so after talking to his manager they where going to drop the price to $56.99 I told him are you kidding me ? And I told him no I will go pay that price at goodwill he said okay and pranced away with the shoes my thing is why isn't Marshall's properly checking items that customers return ? They should throughly check every thing that comes back for a return I have worked in retail for over 20 years and I know when I have had to handle returns some stuff you simply can't when it obviously been warn or if it is a filthy item my thing is the manager should have adjusted the price more not just $3.00 off I hate when the managers act like it is coming out of there pocket I am really disappointed with how this location is run and I think the employees need to be retrained on what they can and can not return or if they can't do they have a manager handle the transaction if they would have made accommodations I would have purchased the shoes I can honestly say I was very disappointed here today I do not recommend this establishment to anyone I was very disappointed this is not the first bad experience i have had with Marshall's and tjmaxx another location not a good experience I hope tjmaxx and marshals not sure if I will come back left a bii read more

I had one of the worst experiences at this marshalls. I bought a makeup item. I didnt open it at the store so until i got home I realized it had been used and it was dirty under the lid. The other boxes of this same item were in those plastic lock boxes except that one. I think they took a return and placed it back on the shelf even though it was used. I brought it back asap and told them I was sold an opened item. the Cashier Svetlana was super rude and said I used it. I told her no, it was sold to me that way. The manager came back with a horrible attitude and told me they didnt accept used items.. again I explain I didnt use it, it was sold like that. She told me it was my fault for not having a cashier open it at the store for me when i bought it. I am a Mexican brown woman, I cant help but to wonder if they decided that due to my ethnicity they would accuse me of lying and brining back a used item. Theres a pandemic, i dont want your used items yall clearly placed back on the shelf after someone else returned it. read more

Marshall is my favorite place usually , when I want to shopping no matter what i will come here first and buy some stuff twice a week at least, there is something happened today make me wow!i stand in line and overheard there have an old asian women staff stand in counter number 1 or 2 if i did not remember wrong , she talk with a customer who is also asian , she talking about how to tell Chinese and Korean by eyes, she said korean they had small eyes! her customer literally dont want to make conversation with her about that, Stop talking things like that if you don't know what to talk to your customer properly and just do your job. read more

The staffing here is terrible the lady that works at the fitting room is grumpy and when i wanted to take a seat on a stool she yelled at me to get out so i went to sit by the shoe area and when my dad tried to show me his outfit she accused him of trying to run away and steal so he said since you wouldn't let my daughter sit i have to get up to show her and she complied long story short i feel like we were targeted for being coloured and she racially profiled us for stealing and i noticed how she treated every white person with the utmost respect she greeted them and had a convo with one and complimented their outfit never going here again read more

This location is one of the nicer stores that I have been to in a while, and although it's not the largest; it is definitely worth checking out. You have to thoroughly check each shelve and rack for items that suit your specific needs, but when you do finally find something that works for you; it will be at a way better price than competitors. Always buy what you want the first time you see it because it will more than likely not be there for you if you plan to return to purchase it. read more

Worst Marshall's ever. A heavy set manager wearing a tie-dyed t-shirt accused me of changing a price. She had her subordinate take off every price sticker and say the numbers don't match. The staff here were very helpful. I called wondering about their pet section and asked about toothbrushes for pets. They placed me on hold and went to check. They did have them and they insisted on putting it aside for me. They also told me they had a big selection of dog things, which is exactly what I was hoping for. When I arrived, I spoke to 4 different employees at different times and everyone was so friendly and genuinely seemed like they wanted to help. It made my day. In general, I really like Marshall's. But this location is currently going through a renovation, which really doesn't affect the merchandise. However... I don't care for the layout of this store -- the clearance stuff is all clustered together with the household/bath clearance which makes it a bit congested. Clothing-wise, not much here for me! Of course, it is always hit or miss with Marshall's. This time - big miss. The fitting rooms were a bit weird. There were only about 6-8 fitting rooms in the women's area. I found that a bit odd as usually there is a long row of them. Also, the woman who was running that area seriously needed a makeover. I'm not trying to be mean - I used to do makeovers for a living - but she was scary! We're talking bright blue aqua eyeliner UNDER her eyes and lip liner that circled her lips, not on them. I know a lot of people LOVE Marshall's, but I have never really understood why. Maybe some locations are better than others and I'm just going to the wrong ones? I don't know. This location I have been to a few times hoping to find good prices on nice clothes. What I really find is empty racks and leftover junk. Their small "designer labels" section has designers that you would see at lower end department stores. They have an ok selection of shirts, but as far as clothing goes, that's it! The shoe selection isn't bad, but the home decor section is always picked over with leftover junk. They also have a good selection of scarves, but it's right next to the beauty section where everything has been opened up and mixed around. I can't really say anything about the checkout lines or customer service because I've never found anything I have even come close to wanting to purchase. With Nordstrom Rack right next-door, there isn't really a reason to waste your time here. read more

Worst customer service I have EVER experienced!! Never purchasing anything from here again!!! I purchased a large suitcase that stated it comes with a 10yr warranty from the brand company, so I figured it was a very good quality, after our second trip using this luggage two of the four wheels weren't working as smoothly as before, and I mean weren't even rolling because the rubber was worn out, I came to make an exchange and the manager Anna asked me whats the reason for my return? I explained that two of the wheels aren't working, she said because it was been used she couldn't take the luggage back?!? Purchased a $90 suitcase in Feb 16.....used once on trip in May for daughters wedding.... Purchased in advance of trip.... Wheels falling apart...Material coming apart....just poor quality..... Took to store for refund...."JOE" store manager said no refund due to wear....They told me it could be caused by the airline?? Cruise ship .....NO.....its just falling apart.... I told Joe that is why I am bringing this back....This is an overpriced piece of junk..... Joe told me it has to be in good condition to return it and for them to be able to resale it.... This one was decent, provided we were there for books and not the typical shopping. Small selection, but found a book I wanted for the kid at almost half the cost. Winner, winner! This Marshalls is not always fully stocked but definitely a treasure hunt when I find something good. Lines can get long during lunch hours and weekends so come in early to beat the rushes! Parking can be a hassle but if you park in the back there are usually open spots. The back entrance is closer to Marshalls anyways. The men's and women's section has lots of variety but the kids clothing section lacks. I do love to get my Nike elite socks from here because they're priced so low compared to the mall prices. When the store gets new shoe shipments, I usually find some good deals on random Nike shoes too. read more

Wow, I made a brief visit to Marshalls and I was impressed how big this place is. Also, the abundance of a great selection there was comparably to Emeryville location, which had just opened. I may have to drag my hubby on my next trip. My only disappointment is the men's sneaker collection, which is tiny to the women's collection. I wished there were more for myself to choose for my hubby especially new balance. I always came in to get these sneakers because they were a great for him.
