I was just at this Ross location and for the first time in my life shopping here when I requested for my receipt, they said "sorry, we can't re-print it". After I put my stuff in the car I couldn't find my receipt, it happened like just less then 5 minutes when I purchased and I run straight back inside and asked for my receipt. I spent like a good $185 money worth here and I have the right to have my receipt as if I need to return something. Other retail store either you had a hard copy of your receipt or they email that to you, so at least there's prove that you had purchased something. Why can't you guy reprint my receipt? Is it a scam that they accidentally scan something else trying to make money and hide it from customers? What if I pay extra for something that I didn't purchase? What if they accidentally scan something 2-3 times that I pay for? Hit the Hoka Bondi 8 jackpot! Heading home from an event and looked up the nearest Ross. I was only partially hopeful of finding my beloved favorite walking shoe but I was close, so why not. To my surprise and delight, there was a good selection of Hoka Bondi 8, of which Hoka discontinued in early 2025. I've had to sleuth them from other sources and a friend in AZ said to try Ross. The workers here are extremely unfriendly. Don't expect to be greeted upon entering the store. They don't say anything to you when you are checking out other than "I can help the next person here." They don't even tell you to grab your receipt after you're done paying. Customer service here needs a lot of work. read more

I really don't understand why people work in customer service when they are so rude. My cashier today, Evelina, didn't even great me or ask me how my day was. Her first words to me after scanning my items were, "would you like to donate a dollar to the boys and girls club?" Really? She then proceeded to just throw my clothes without folding them in to my bag. She put the receipt on the register and stated, "there you go." People are this miserable and not happy should work in stock or somewhere where they don't have to speak to customers. This really irritated me because I did customer service throughout high school and college and know that you always smile and greet customers. I love this Ross! Its by far the best one in the area and probably Sac and trust me I've been all over. Great selection of clothes, housewares and shoes. I always find what i need here and the store is clean and always well stocked. Never an empty shlef like other rosses I've been too. I have never been treated so bad at a Department store. Manager was rude, chubby Mexican guy, didn't catch his name. I don't know what you would call that but it wasn't managing. Angel was rude. I had to ask him twice how her was doing today because he chose not to say a word to me while ringing me up. The security guard Philippe I think that's him name, needs to learn customer service like all the rest of them in that Ross. Well I'm not shopping Ross anymore or defiantly not that location. I am shocked by the other yelpers reviews of this Ross, Dress for Less. This is by far the best Ross I've ever been to. I spent more here in one visit then I ever have at the ones near my full time home in Fremont/Union City. I'm starting to think my standards are pretty low or the Ross I usually shop at is just really, really bad. Probably the later. During my Saturday morning visit, I was able to find lots of kids' clothes and even managed to find a great summer shirt for myself! One day this summer when the temp was in the triple digits, I hurried from my car to the doors of Ross to get in the air conditioning. I had my purse in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. The security guard stopped me at the door. He said I couldn't bring my drink inside. I replied that my drink was water, and asked if he was aware of the 110 degree heat. He said drinks, including water, are not allowed in the store. I said that was ridiculous. I then headed back to my car, turned the A/C on full blast and took a long drink of my cold water. Then I called the manager of this Ross store to relate what happened. She confirmed that the security guard was correct in turning me away. I expressed my shock at this ridiculous policy, and proceeded to tell this manager that she just lost a customer. She replied that all Ross stores have this policy. I haven't been in a Ross store since, and will never visit one again, while this utterly stupid policy is in place. I found I like TJMAXX better anyway. !! read more

Keitlyn.....horrible customer service My experience with Ross customer service went horrible and only with ONE young girl named Keitlyn! She is extremely rude and disrespectful! And it was happening few times since she started to work there in 2022. Never saw her nice and helpful but mostly just unpolite and disrespectful! She never smiles, never says "hello" or "thank you" I am three times older than her and she was telling me that she could not except the return on a unworn pair of shoes without a tag even though I had a receipt and the shoes price were marked on the bottom (typically for Ross) I said that tag might fell off on which she said "go to that store where you have purchased so they can look up on cameras if it the right pair of shoes!" and when I said that its rude and disrespectful; she stared at me and said that I shouldn't shop here on her shift! I was speechless! And I understand her behavior because it is supported by the management!!!! Kaitlyn's manager was standing by and heard everything but did NOTHING!!! Less and less I wanted to shop at that location on Stanford Ranch Road just because of one rotten and rude thing. read more

I enjoy coming to this for us it is very clean and very well-stocked I always find more than i need in here they have a very large selection of shoes very large selection of purses backpacks very large baby selection very large selection of women's clothes very large selection of women's plus size clothes they also have a nice large pet area they have a very large kitchen area they have a very large Men selection they have a large selection of women's pajamas they also sell kids toys which is a nice large selection they sell gift bags they have a lot of items for pets here This is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere they have a very large selection of children's clothes they have lots of the latest styles available very nice very clean plus they always have clearance sections of clothes and other items the dressing rooms are very clean and kept very nicely the restrooms are very clean the parking lot is very clean this is one of the nicer establishments that I have been to I will definitely Becoming back here very soon for more shopping experience I look forward to my next visit here very soon read more

I like to shop at Ross, but it is unacceptable to have ONLY one cashier open on Saturday. I found what I was looking for, but There was a very very long line for the cashier. I purchased a dishrack 10/20 afternoon. Went home and tried it, it didn't work for my sink. Bring it back the next morning with the receipt. The cashier called for the manager saying it's used cause it's got a mark. Of course, it will have a mark cause I tried it with my cups and one dish. It might have been the cup that I used to drink my coffee. It's just around the line mark that probably comes from my coffee mug. The manager asked why I'm returning it and I told her it didn't work for what I wanted it for and she told me, she can only accept it if it was damaged. Your policy sucks and so as your manager. I have shopped at Ross for years even though the closest one is 35 minutes from my home. I accidently bought a baby jumper set in a preemie size, yesterday. I called the Auburn store and they didn't have the same set in a larger size. Called the Rocklin store and explained that I lived 45 minutes away and did not want to travel to their store if the jumper set wasn't available. Two stars for customer service. Went to the fitting room today to try on some clothes, and when I handed back the ones I didn't want and the tag that says how many garments I had with me, she took the clothes and while I tried to hand her the number tag, she said "you can put that over there" to imply I should do it. I said, "no, you do it. I don't work here". Then at checkout, I walked up to the cashier and she didn't look at me or say hello. She rang my purchases and when I was done she handed me the receipt without a thank you. Not a word. At least the security guard was kind enough to say thank you as I walked out. I've refrained from reviewing for quite some time. It saddens me to see so many bad reviews. I am going to chalk this up as "Newbie On The Rise." For an area like Rocklin, this store is NOWHERE NEAR where it should be in selection and service, it simply does not match up to areas like Arden-Arcade, or even the Rancho store for selection. However, it is ALWAYS clean, and the staff is pleasant. Compared to the other Rocklin store, their selection is maybe HALF of what the other Rocklin location has (5-Star), but, that store is always packed and frankly....the CUSTOMERS are rude. I see much room for improvement at this location. There is LOTS of room within the building to add to stock. LISTEN to the voices that have spoken ROSS Corporate. It is my sincere hope that at some point, THIS location will be my GO TO. Until there are improvements, it will not be. But, once again, the STAFF is always very friendly! read more

Usually pretty messy, as like most of them. You can find some diamonds in the rough every once in a blue moon if you look hard enough. I like to get my kitchen gadgets here. However, last week I was playing with a spatula that I intended to buy while I was still rummaging through stuff and the spatula snapped clean in half. I put it down and walked away quietly. I'm just glad it happened in the store and not after I bought it and was cooking with it. I recently found the cutest long black Esprit jacket that was originally $100 for $40. Yay! This location is much cleaner than other Ross locations I have been too. Usually I'm not a fan of Ross stores because they seem to carry lots of worn out merchandise. This one has lots of everything and in all the sizes. Selections in my size are at some times hard to find. Lots of marked down brand name great deals here. read more
