How does this place have such good reviews? Don't get me wrong, I love Marshall's. Their products are awesome and they have everything you could ever need in one stop. They have designer brands and a huge home section that is always stocked. Now, let's talk service. I don't think I have EVER had good service here and I've been coming since this area got busy, probably when the Galleria opened. Not only that, but I used to work in the same parking lot and always found myself wandering over here. Lately, however, the service has been so terrible. The workers are rude and could careless about what you have to say. I went a couple months ago and found a pair of shoes under a sign that said $10, but were marked $15. There were a TON of the same shoes under the same sign, but the others except my shoe size were marked $10. So I took two pairs to the register to make my claim and get my shoes for $10! She looked at the shoes (CLEARLY THE SAME THING, same color, same everything, except the red markdown sticker that said $15) and said "no, they're different. Do you want them or not?" She refused to adjust the price. I was livid. I gave this place another shot recently and FINALLY got up the register and the cashier carried a conversation with her fellow cashier for probably 3 minutes with me just standing at her station, talking about NOTHING, even though she had already called me up to her station. Worst service, WORST service! I work with customers everyday at my job, and this place does not value theirs. The meaning of good customer service is obviously not something they emphasize here, and it has driven me away. Will I ever return t this Marshall's again? NO! Worst customer service ever. Even if you are just taking something to trade you have to stand in line twice. There were 7 people behind the register but only 2 cashiers helping people, with at least 15 people in line. When a third finally jumped in to help only her line moved. Management: Doesn't care at all if you have a complaint or problem. They dismiss you as if you are the worst person and treat you as if you are a criminal. I wanted to return an item. I had the receipt. The item was in perfect brand new, never worn or out of the box condition and the manager said I could only get a gift card for my cash because it was over their 30 day policy by a few days. I asked her to please make an exception, I am pregnant and I don't shop at Marshall's and its very hard for me to come all the way out to Roseville. She just kept repeating the policy, the policy, no exceptions. It was hard for me to get their once now I am being forced to have a gift card and return to their store to buy an item from the worst customer service people I have ever dealt with. No way. The item was only 26.00 I'd rather throw away the card then deal with them again and if you think just give the card to someone else as a gift. No way, would I subject someone else to that horrible place. Avoid at any cost, go to another store any other store besides that one. Always seem to find great deals on clearance items. Found one tonight & headed to checkout. There was a wait but I wasn't concerned & was texting to pass the time. A man called me over & the first words out of his mouth were "thank you for waiting" ... a phrase seldom heard & it made me happy to hear it. He was also smiling & made me feel that my business was appreciated. His nametag said that he was the manager. He sets a great example for his staff. read more

I came in a couple of weeks ago and found a kayak that I really love and have been using for a while now . Two male employees, one with glasses and a tall dark haired guy helped me move the kayak outside to my car, which was really helpful. Although they're a bit unorganized, the quality of service is beyond any Ross or TJMaxx or Discount Clothing Store I've ever been to. The only thing I'd wish they'd do is not have so many shoes on the ground- it can be overwhelming when shopping for the right pair. Nonetheless, definitely recommend people to try shopping here, especially in their home and activewear department, you'll find some good stuff. read more

They always carry Kenar, BCBG, Juicy, Ralph Lauren, and they even have Betsey Johnson belts. The dress selection is a little limited, most of the items are plain and basic. read more

A shirt was mismarked and the tag stated a different price than a similar shirt so at check out they made us wait and changed the price to a higher price despite the tag being attached and it being clearly their mistake. It was only a $4 difference but because it was their fault for having it marked wrong they should have given the lower price. I recommend not shopping here because they will change the price on you at the register. It's dishonest and false advertisement, spend your money elsewhere so you are charged the price on the tag! read more

I never go to Marshalls and my last shopping experience reminded my why! Chaos on the racks, pushy people trying to beat you to any potential deal...but trust me when I say...all I ever see there is crap. I do like this store, sometimes, but I don't like the check out process. I'm so sick of being asked to open a credit card and then to donate to whatever the charity is at that particular time. All the people who work at the front are nice, but sickening and insincerely sweet when asking you the robotic questions; I hate going in there because of that. I wish Marshalls/ TJMaxx/Home Goods would discontinue the hard sell on credit cards. It is one reason I don't shop regularly at those stores. I was there yesterday and was longer at the register trying to check out than I was selecting my item to buy....the person checking me out would not just be quiet and check me out. The home section itself earns three stars. I have found so much good stuff, including gourmet food items such as truffle-infused cooking oils and tasty imported shortbread cookies. There always seems to be a huge line, which can be scary, but the cashiers know how to hustle and I never have to stand in line for more than 5 minutes. read more

Pretty good for a Marshall's but didn't have a lot of xxl for men. If you have teenage boys they have one of the best sections I have seen for that. The men's section though seemed to be a bit more meh than other stores. Worth a stop by and also head to norack next door. read more

I was really impressed with the customer service I received last week when I went in looking for new dining room chairs. I found four chairs and the clerks helped me carry them to the register and out to my vehicle. I really appreciated the extra help and I found great chairs for a great price. read more

If I could give this poor excuse for a store zero stars I would. Customer service must have been trained by a pack of wild dogs. Their attitudes are the worst on the planet, and the managers are the worst in the Universe. I saw a sign for shoes. The sign clearly said $12.00.The cashier rang up $19.00. I showed her the sign. She said that's the wrong sign, with a smirky "Sorry". I said "That's not my fault". The incompetent manager came over and said the exact same thing. I said "Then where is the correct sign". She went over and could not find it right away, in fact it took her a few minutes to locate it. She then walks over and straight up lies, like the fat devil she is, and says "It was right there". I was watching her the entire time. I said "You need to get yourself together". I only came to this store because they were next to Nordstrom rack. I will stick to Nordstrom rack. The customer service is Waaaaay better. If you are reading this before shopping here. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Don't believe the positive reviews. Go to Nordstrom rack and don't even walk towards this headache of a store. The lying managers attitudes are the quality of toilet water. read more

My favorite thing about this store is the home section. Not just one small section but several, well stocked aisles. You can get everything from martini glasses to imported Chinese herbal teas and fresh scented candles. The shoe section is also worth a good look. They have several department store brands like BCBG, Guess, and Michael Kors. I once found a pair of heels for $15! Sure they hurt like hell, but they were damn cute! The handbags are sometimes a hit, and sometimes a miss. Most of the time you can find a cute B Makowsky or Michael Kors for around $150. I like getting my shampoo here because they have Big Sexy Hair and Joico for about half the price of Ulta ($15). I'm really not that big on the clothing sections. I give them about a 3. There are some good pieces dispersed throughout the racks, but mostly random stuff whether it's men's or women's. You really have to pick through everything. Overall, a good store to purchase a little bit of everything at low prices. read more

I usually love Marshall's and all of their great deals and cute clothes, but today I was super disappointed and let down. I had found a super cute jumpsuit that fit me perfectly but was missing a button that was essential to keeping the outfit together. At the register I pointed it out to the lady, hoping for a discount, and she said she could give it to me for $16. Which is four dollars off the original price of $20. Then the manager came up and said that it can only be discounted to $18. At that point it wasn't worth it anymore because you can't even buy the button needed to fix the jumpsuit for the $2 that they were offering as a discount. I then asked why I couldn't buy it at the $16 price since that's what the cashier originally said, but the manager was not having it. I ended up not getting the jumpsuit and was super disappointed and upset at Marshall's. The manager should have stuck with their original discount that they gave me and I don't think I'll be shopping at Marshall's anytime soon. The manager and the people working were clearly not the best at customer service and I don't appreciate the fact that they went back on the price that they had said. I would recommend going to the Nordstrom rack store next door and skipping Marshall's altogether. read more

This is one of the better Marshall's we've shopped at. There is usually a fairly good selection of merchandise at good prices. We wish there were more dressing rooms because there is usually a wait during peak shopping hours. Service is not that great but most people who want good service would probably be shopping somewhere else. read more

My son found a pair of shoes here two days ago that he really wanted so we drove back (all the way from Grass Valley) to buy them. When we arrived the ladies at the counter told us that we couldn't buy them because they were .5 size different from each other. After they reused to allow us to buy them we left the store and headed oveer to Costco. We decided not to give up and so we called back and spoke to the manager (Joe). He noticed that the shoes were on Clearance (due to the fact that someone else had bought the matching shoes) so he was more than happy to sell them to us. He was very friendly and provided awesome customer service! We found the exact same shoes online for $140 but were able to purchase them at Marshall's for $49.00. Highly recommend! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the ladies at the counter that weren't even willing to ask the manager but instead let us walk out of the store leaving our items behind after knowing that we had driven 45 minutes to get to their store. read more

good store. has clothes. i needed clothes because somebody told me mine looked like their dead grandmother, so i came here. some clothes looked like dead grandmothers, but i was overall impressed with the products. it is cheap which is good because i am saving up to buy a hover board for my cat, he wanted one for christmas but i couldn't afford it so hopefully i will get it by his birthday. i liked the soap in the bathroom it smelled good. read more

I purchase a Polo sweater, a French Connection , as well as an off brand sweater from this store. ALL of which fell apart. The Polo was woven and the shoulder stitching removed the arm from the entire sweater. The French connection sweater developed holes. AND the other seater , the sleeve stitching came and part at the wrist area . I went back to Marshalls and since they couldn't find another sweater that looked like them, they refused a store credit or reimbursment. I'll never shop at any marshalls ever again. I wouldn't buy clothes from there if I were you since they clearly use poor quality clothes from what you would think would be a "good brand" it only makes me think they use "knockoff clothing" I have never had clothes fall apart from a nother store I've shopped at ever. And to say they can't do anything since they don't have those styles any more . Awesome . 90$ shopping trip just to have my clothes fall apart. I thought I was bargain shopping I'd rather spend the normal amount on the clothes from where they're supposed from to be instead of from MARSHALLS. I'll never make that mistake again . read more
