    Things a girl needs

For people who are budget focused like me. I enjoy going to such stores like Marshall to look for affordable gifts and trinkets. They got some great deals for clothes and accessories. I usually get branded jeans here in affordable prices as well as skin and body care that are good to buy for give aways for Christmas. The cosmetic and skin care aisle is usually messy with people sampling and opening product packages (uggh!) Once they have these packs of facial masks from Korea that were so cheap ($6.99 for packs of 10) and pocket lotions that are so cute. I come back to check if they would re-stock those again but sadly its not the ones I liked. This is also where I get my OPI nail polish which is much cheaper ($2.99), though there are limited colors and availability. Come check it out, you might find a great find.

As associate by the name of Tri cleaning the carts after each use. Very helpful young guy!

Love going to this Marshalls even before this whole pandemic happened! They always have amazing selection, always stocked up merchandise, overall clean shopping atmosphere, and above all, friendly and customer-oriented associates. I even recommended this specific Marshalls to my friends and family to shop here because of my positive experience every single time! One associate in particular is named Tri as pictured, and I was just impressed by how customer oriented he was. He firstly asked if I found everything ok, then helped me find my desired merchandise, and pleasantly answered any questions I had such as the return policy. In the end, he took my cart nicely and said "have a good day" then cleaned it as pictured. In terms of the checkout process, it was very fast as well, compared to nearby stores like Ross. All the cashiers were present to assist customers and adhered to social distancing guidelines accordingly. What I liked the most was that there were social distancing guide stickers and that helped me and other customers find our way through the checkout process. Overall, from the moment I walked in and to the moment I walked out, I was greeted and attended to properly. Really felt like a second home and would definitely be coming back here. Good job Tri and the rest of the Marshalls team, keep it up!

This employee discriminates against men who sit on their furniture to wait for their spouse to shop.

TO ALL THE LADIES WHO WANT TO TAKE THEIR SPOUSE OR SIGNIFICANT OTHER SHOPPING WITH THEM: DON'T! SADLY, THEY ARE NOT WELCOME HERE! DON'T BELIEVE ME? ASK THE EMPLOYEE NAMED ESVEYDI. I caught her talking to another employee about a few men who were sitting on some of the furniture because they were waiting for their spouse to shop. One of them was actually a teenage boy waiting for his mom. I had noticed him sitting quietly on an ottoman. I was furious because I knew she was also talking about my s/o who was sitting on a recliner chair. I confronted her and told her that it was wrong to talk crap about customers behind their back. It was ridiculous and even more so that her coworker agreed with her. I don't see the problem with customers sitting on furniture in the store. Was there a time limit? Furniture is meant to be tested and used. I know this better than anyone because I manage my family's furniture store. Our customers are guests to us and they're welcome to test all the furniture as they please. I tell my customers to make themselves at home and take a short nap if they like. As long as they're not abusing our furniture or causing any damage to it then they're more than welcome to make themselves comfortable. When our display items get dirty, I simply clean it after the customer leaves. We make sure never to make our customers feel guilty for making our furniture dirty because they don't do it on purpose. We're thankful that they came in and we let them know and feel it. Who knows, someone may sit on a chair to rest for a while and end up buying it after. Whether they make a purchase or not, they should not be treated any different. We all know that most men don't enjoy shopping; however, some still choose to go with their wives to spend time and be supportive. They often look for any available seating they can find and wait till their s/o is done shopping. I see this all the time and I totally understand for these men. They should not be treated as if they don't belong there. They may not be the ones buying, but their wives are. We are paying customers like everyone else, and I'm extremely upset that we were treated this way. I am even more upset that this employee had the nerve to compare my s/o to a child. When I asked her why she felt it was a problem for people to sit on the furniture she said, "Children get the furniture dirty making them lose value so they have to reduce the price". I answered, "Well my husband is an adult and he's just sitting there waiting." She replies, "it's the same thing, he has his feet up and is getting the furniture dirty." It's a freakin recliner chair, your feet goes up automatically! Would it be better if he took off his shoes? Put up a sign up or just kindly go over and ask him to remove his shoes. Don't go and talk crap about them. Instead of discriminating towards loving husbands or children who wait patiently for their wives or parents to shop, maybe provide extra seating for them to use if you don't want them using your furniture that's out on display. Put a sign up and tell us not to sit on the furniture then. I can guarantee you, no one will sit on them and no one buy them either. In business, you must sacrifice the display items for people to test out and see if they like it. It's an investment you must make but in return you can make many more sells. If you're too worried about a few items on display then you might as well not display anything. However, someone who has no skills in business might not understand that. Although the product is important in a business, your number 1 priority is alway customer satisfaction! There's no excuse for talking crap about your customers especially when they're still in your store. If this employee still does not understand that she's completely wrong, she probably should not work there or work in any field that deals with customer service! Ps. Thank you to the manager, Q or Kieu (sorry for not knowing how to correctly spell your name) for understanding and apologizing on behalf of his unprofessional and rude employee. I applaud you for immediately recognizing who was at fault and you made her aware of it. Although she cried, you are not to blame. I would cry too if I was caught discriminating, talking crap about others, and called out by my boss for it. You handled the situation professionally, and you clearly understood how to treat others the way they should be treated. You are the only reason why I will not bring this matter to Corporate because I believe you can re-train your team on how to provide better customer service from now on.

I came in here because Ross was a mess and this was right next door :) Definitely more organized and cleaner than Ross :) Just shop here instead of Ross -- the prices are about the same and there's a bigger selection of items! There's a few aisle around the store that have clearance/final clearance, so take a look through those if you're looking for some good bargains, but I never find anything I like / it's usually missing something or it's not in my size. There's a lot to look through inside the store so it may seem overwhelming -- it's like a mini mall with everything. You may even find some brand name items for a good price, but it takes a lot of work to really look at everything. Also, there's a big parking lot that's shared with other stores, but it's never too packed!

This is one of the bigger/better organized Marshall's I've seen. I don't normally shop here, because I'm very impatient and I don't like rummaging through racks and racks of clothing... But I was in the area killing time, so I thought I'd drop in and see if there were any pet stuff.. (Didn't find any), so I didn't buy anything. This place was really busy for a Tuesday morning.. I walked in, and there were at least 15 people in line at the checkout. But they moved the line really quickly.. All I heard as I was browsing around was this lady loudly directing the customers to each cashier.. If you've got time to kill and have the time/patience to browse racks of clothes.. I'd say.. Give this place a try..

I think I like this Ross because it has self checkout and I usually need 5 items or less and I can quickly come through the line with ease. If you have 10 items or less you can utilize self checkout. The only annoying drawback is that everything has a beeper so with self checkout you need to go to another register get your receipt scanned and then get the beepers off and then show your receipt to someone else at the door as you're leaving. This is tedious and annoying but you can literally get in and out 5 min or less so it is worth it. If you have a dog or need car things this Ross also has a good aisle for car accessories and trinkets and a good aisle for rugs and dog clothes. If you're in North/East Sj this is a good choice as I haven't seen any other Ross' in the area with self checkout. They also have a pretty good art selection of paintings for the wall.

I knew what I wanted and found the items-- Christmas bags, travel cosmetic bags, hand soap. Good prices too. My brother's girlfriend bought a lot of stuff for people, too. I was surprised it wasn't crazy busy either.

I told the ladies that I needed an off white/cream/beige color scheme to match my then fiance's homemade ao dai. They had ONE option. At first, I was discouraged because I was hoping to have a few different shades to choose from. The piece also only had a basic sequin design. After consultation with my now step daughter, we asked if the piece could be updated to include a more intricate design. There was some Vietlish back and forth and difficulty communicating. The lady did not seem interested in making the update and possibly the sale itself. Following further contemplation and a phone call to confirm with the bride, I decided the piece was the ONE. I told the nice lady that I would buy the ao dai but needed tailoring on the design. She was hesitant but agreed in the end. While she "rung" me up, she had me write my full name and contact information on a paper slip. After seeing my last name, she asked if I was Vietnamese (I am). The stars in her eyes twinkled as she said (in Vietnamese), "YOU'RE VIETNAMESE!?" And boy, did the interaction change. She was STOKED to make the updated sequin design and kept telling me that it was going to turn out fabulous. Hear me out fam, she went from a 2/10 to a 12/10 on the service. Friendly, warm, inviting. Everything you could ask for out of your ao dai shop. Would I go back? No, because I hope to never need a wedding ao dai again. Should you go? Absolutely. Vietnamese people show their affection through abrasive methods. But that's what makes them authentic. The experience would have been easier if I had a fluent family member with me. The piece was $200 total which included tailoring and was done about a month later. The work was fantastic.
