I had a picture of my ID front & back and I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask if that would work. I go up to the counter and ask nicely. As the employee tried to help me out another employee yelled from across the store "I told you that you need a real ID". I looked at her and walked away To not cause a scence more than she already did. That employee Ashley was not being professional and being rude the whole time I was there. Even talking about me as I walked out the door. BAD CUSTOMER SERVIC.

I was told to bring in everything as it is an all-season store. So, I brought in six bags (four were smaller Walmart size bags) with unworn dresses, new leather sandals (it's nearly summer), and a few clean, unstained items I thought would sell well. I was told it would take an hour for them to review my items. That was fine--except I asked them what I should do if it took longer because I needed to be home in an hour and a half when my children got off the bus. They said if I wasn't back to pick up my items before the end of the day the offer for any of them would be gone and they would donate them. They said it was "their system," and they couldn't do anything to get around it. People run systems last I checked, machines are not in charge. When I suggested other options (can I come first thing tomorrow) if they weren't done in an hour, my suggestions were batted down with increasing irritation. I couldn't come back later because of my daughter's baseball game. It was very frustrating and would not have been an issue had it all been explained to me over the phone when I'd called earlier. I chose to gamble, and they did get my items sorted. They chose to take ONE item-- a pair of Old Navy shorts with the tag still on them. I can't prove it was out of spite. I hope not. I like supporting small businesses, but I could read the room and that felt weirdly personal. I suppose that's their right. It's also my right to let people know about my experience so you can make an informed choice.

He threw in a few free things for me and my groomsmen because I bought a suit through him. Suit was sized and tailored to my size and this is the only place with an in house tailor. Highly recommend Steve!

Mr. Goodwin, the dapper proprietor of the establishment is a super cool, super chill gentleman who has an eye for fashion and takes really good care of his customers! He's like a modernized version of the monopoly guy, sans the pretentious monocle. That said, he's the dude who could pull off a top hat and monocle with the sophistication of not the monopoly guy! This place is a small storefront just off Yakima Avenue, that apparently has been here for 20 years. He worked at Nordstrom for many years, and now has officially been open doing his own gig for longer than he worked at Nordstrom! He specializes in helping gentlemen look their best. They carry an incredible selection of shirts, ties, pants, suits and accoutrements including hats, scarves and cuff links. Everything is custom tailored and included in the price - as he says, "This isn't men's warehouse"! Everything here is definitely on the pricey end, but as with most things, you're paying for quality and for a bit of customization. It's the sort of place that when you stop by before a wedding or get together, he'll hook you up with exactly what you need and make sure you look like a boss doing it! Perhaps the best thing about this place however, was the fact that while I was in there, there must've been five or seven people who wakes through that he knew by name and knew exactly the sort of stuff they'd be looking for. Is the big box stores continue to struggle, it's places like this they should continue to do well. Impeccable service, a great vibe, wonderful selection and a dude who's really paying attention and making sure he gets things right - hard to ask for anything more!

I found out about party connection while planning an event and needing to rent a bunch of…read moredinnerware. It ends up that not a lot of places rent plates, glasses, etc., but these guys do and they've done a nice job! Located over off of Washington, near the airport in Yakima, the actual storefront is located around the side of the building. It's not immediately obvious, so it's helpful to have an idea of what you're looking for. Upon walking in, you will note that they have a decent number of costumes for rental or purchase, and plenty of party and costume favors. They do a pretty good job keeping it organized, but I imagine it's fairly tough given the business they're in. As far as the rentals of dinnerware, things are generally rented in multiples of 12, and they have a good selection. I've never had to rent a such thing as before, so I don't know what the pricing should be, but this seemed relatively appropriate. The thing that stood out to me here was the fact that they called to confirm things a couple of times and seem to be very on the ball with what they were doing. The store in and of itself Is not anything crazy awesome, but the service and the way that they made sure the details were ironed out was spot on. While there are not a lot of options for places to rent place settings for your event, this is definitely one that we will use again!

We agreed on the rental, delivery, and set-up of a dance floor on the main lawn at my wedding venue and everything went according to plan day of. However, the dance floor felt very flimsy once I stepped on it -- something I didn't realize until I had stepped on the dance floor for my first dance! And once our guests joined for dancing, the entire dance floor had broken apart into its individual square pieces. No one cared much by that point in the evening since everyone was dancing and having fun, but still not ideal to see your dance floor fall apart at your own wedding. Perhaps not the best place to rent a dance floor from if you need to use it on the grass specifically?
