A few months later I went back to him to see if he could frame a 1941 class picture of Marilyn Monroe that had belonged to my grandfather who had gone to school with her. On the back of the photograph was her dedication to him. I told him to take his time, this was a very special piece to me, and frame it as he saw fit. When I picked it up, it exceeded any expectations I may have had. It was so spectacular I had to hold back my tears. He took such care in doing this job and had such great ideas. He is an artist and one of the friendliest people I have met. The photo now hangs in the entrance to my house where I can treasure it everyday. Thank you!

A vintage treasure hunter's dream!…read more We were in the area checking out some thrift shops and stumbled across Somewhere in Time, and WOW. This place is incredible! If you love vintage, antiques, collectibles, or just wandering around looking at random treasures, you absolutely need to stop here. They have VINYL RECORDS GALORE. I'm talking rows and rows of records, with so many different genres and eras to dig through. You could spend forever just browsing the record selection. And the antiques and collectibles?! TONS. There is so much to look at that you really need to take your time because you'll probably notice something new every few minutes. Vintage clothing, toys, furniture, decor, records, artwork, and so many unique little pieces that you don't see every day. I also loved how much personality the store has. It feels like stepping into a giant time capsule filled with treasures from different decades. Every corner has something interesting going on, and it's the kind of place where you want to slowly wander around rather than rush through. This spot is located at the Northish end of the mall, near Zesta Cucina. What we found a quaint, unassuming spot with plenty to stuff to keep us busy. From wine (they have Old Goat so we're sold!) to specialty olive oils, kitchen and home decor, to glassware, soaps and hot chocolate mix, they've got plenty to keep you busy. The folks working here are attentive and very nice, happy to help and very relaxed. They're not selling Walmart priced goods so don't expect bargain shopping, but that said, the goods they have are high quality and worth what you're paying. Well worth a look and part of a growing number of solid specialty stores in Glenwood square!

I had a picture of my ID front & back and I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask if that would work. I go up to the counter and ask nicely. As the employee tried to help me out another employee yelled from across the store "I told you that you need a real ID". I looked at her and walked away To not cause a scence more than she already did. That employee Ashley was not being professional and being rude the whole time I was there. I am writing as a seller. I brought gently used and even some new clothing to the store. I called…read moreahead of time to learn about their process and what items they were currently accepting. I was told to bring in everything as it is an all-season store. So, I brought in six bags (four were smaller Walmart size bags) with unworn dresses, new leather sandals (it's nearly summer), and a few clean, unstained items I thought would sell well. I was told it would take an hour for them to review my items. That was fine--except I asked them what I should do if it took longer because I needed to be home in an hour and a half when my children got off the bus. They said if I wasn't back to pick up my items before the end of the day the offer for any of them would be gone and they would donate them. They said it was "their system," and they couldn't do anything to get around it. People run systems last I checked, machines are not in charge. When I suggested other options (can I come first thing tomorrow) if they weren't done in an hour, my suggestions were batted down with increasing irritation. I couldn't come back later because of my daughter's baseball game. It was very frustrating and would not have been an issue had it all been explained to me over the phone when I'd called earlier. I chose to gamble, and they did get my items sorted. They chose to take ONE item-- a pair of Old Navy shorts with the tag still on them. I can't prove it was out of spite. I hope not. I like supporting small businesses, but I could read the room and that felt weirdly personal. I suppose that's their right. It's also my right to let people know about my experience so you can make an informed choice.
