I feel its better to always buy from a reputable breeder that does health testing. But, it was love. You don't always think right when you fall in love. Well, one stole my heart. But, still, my puppy was so sick :( We stopped by another store to buy the pupster some food, shampoo, bed, chewies, leash, collar, toys... just getting ready for baby. :) Well, the poor thing we discovered had flees, worms, ear mites. Everything bad a pup could have, this one did. We had to de-flee, worm, ear mite treat the pup and all our other pets. It was expensive as you know. The pup just had a bad life start. Pupster was also dehydrated. A pet store should at least care about the pets health. They should not sell sick puppies. If your making money on the pet, doesn't it deserve to be healthy? I mean, its a pet store, they no doubt get a discount on flee meds, worming meds, ear mite meds, They should treat them. If I were you I would stay away. We love the pup. But feel sad about her unhealthy start. She deserved a healthy start in life. It was sad and so worrisome for us.
