I went to Marsha's for the 1st time last saturday (they are open m-sat)and enjoyed one of the best sandwichs ever. The girl behind the counter was helpful and fast. I was surprised to find they took visa and mastercard. Although it took me a while to order as Marsha's boast a great menu of homemade salads, soups, sweets, speciatly sandwichs and its signature fresh oven roasted turkey sandwhich. I had a great cranberry, stuffing, and oven roasted turkey sandwich. Stuffing was amazing and the turkey was moist and made you think of day after thanksgiving sandwich. So Good! I love their sandwich and I've been ordering there for a while, the online order made it more convenient. I ordered a sandwich yesterday with bacon and avocado extra $2 ($1 per additional ingredient) it was very good. I ordered again today, same sandwich with bacon and avocado but this time I only ordered the half sandwich. When I went to pick up my sandwich the old lady said there's a price discrepancy on the website and the correct price for adding bacon and avocado is $1.50 (total $3). They didn't put the bacon and avocado eventhough I already paid $2 for both and I only owe $1. They waited for me to ask if I still want it.... i didn't have much time and I don't have my wallet so I just told the lady it's fine. I already got charged for $2 because I added the bacon and avocado online but they didn't put it and of course I didn't even get refunded for the $2. It's just weird that for half a sandwich they are trying to charge me $1.50 for bacon and $1.50 for avocado while 24hrs ago I ordered a whole sandwich with the same ingredient and only paid $2 extra. I hope they fix the price onlime so that people will know if it's worth it to add extra ingredient to their food before ordering. read more

Fresh Roast turkey is so good. I like to order my sandwiches a certain way and they have no problem making what I ask for. Ive gone to other deli's and they just won't do it for me. They have a great online ordering menu as well. Friendly staff and lots Of seating. The bread is always fresh, I love the sourdough rolls and the Dutch crunch. I tried a chef salad as well and instead of using deli turkey I asked for the roasted turkey and added avocado and it was just what I was craving on that day. They will customize anything. They also have really good soups, the turkey rice is delish. I've gone on days where they have had homemade enchiladas with rice. There is nothing this deli can't do. Yet another fantastic catered party done by Marsha's Lunchbox! We have used this deli for all our home parties, usually 50-100 people, and they have always done an exceptional job! The food is excellent and all home made. The staff is always efficient, fun and very friendly. The prices are so reasonable. We just had an all appetizer party last weekend (very hearty and delicious)! In the past we have had dinner buffets that have been wonderful. You must try her tri-tip, unbelievable flavor! Best turkey sandwich on the Peninsula (the Thanksgiving one)! It comes with dressing (which I generally don't like), but theirs is delish! I can't speak to the other sandwiches because I always get the turkey one, but the side salads and dessert bars are good too. Seems like a good reliable deli but nothing besides this Thanksgiving sando seemed more interesting than other delis, but I will say they seem to have better quality ingredients than many. I work a few blocks from here and have tried their sandwiches a few times over the last 6 years. Every time I am disappointed. I keep telling myself never again but memories fade and I keep trying hoping for a better result. Well I went in today, and grabbed a sandwich to go. Opened up the bag when I got back to work and it had the wrong bread. Not a good start but somewhat expected. The rest of the sandwich was just sad. It's the kind where all the ingredients are in the middle. One bite and all you are left with is bread. Needed 3 times more meat. I will wait another 2-3 years and try them again....once this memory has faded. read more

Catering Review: "Meh!" The upside is that I was able to place the order the week of my event. The downside is the food was very average. Most items seemed to be purchased right from the grocer and put into bowls (salad dressings, cheap crackers, spinach dip), and the other items didn't have much flavor (BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, potato salad, coleslaw). I do not recommend! Ordered a Tuna sandwich on marble rye with everything on it, the lettuce was black and rotten and to top it off I found a long white HAIR in the tuna. So grosssssssed out! I recently hosted a business meeting in San Carlos and needed someplace to cater lunch from for our group of 25 people. It was easy to order and the food was fresh and delicious. They delivered for free and there was more than enough food (I ordered for 25 people, charged per head) and we had quite a bit leftover. We did the lunch deal with sandwiches, two salads and a tray of desserts. We already had drinks so they knocked off like $.50 per person because we didn't need drinks. The only bummer was that they forgot the veggie sandwiches and came back with them about 20 minutes after people had already started to eat. So they were wasted, unfortunately. The second bummer is that they don't use disposable trays so I had to drop off the trays (which I had to wash or let it sit in my car dirty for the wekend) the following Monday. It was a bit inconvenient and something they failed to tell me. Lugging home 5+ large dirty trays & washing them was not fun. But the food was delicious and well received by our business group. I would not hesitate to order again. And would next time arrange for them to come back and pick up the trays after lunch. read more

I'm always looking for a great sandwich spot so when I saw this place I had to check it out. It's a nice little place that could use a little maintenance/ presentation work but overall I do like their setup. I ordered the Westside with the expectation it would be served on a roll and not sliced bread. Ended up with sliced bread which is usually fine but since the turkey and bacon was heated and I had it to go, the bread got a little soggy. The bread should have been toasted but my fault for not telling them. Sauce was a little weak but overall not bad but not great. Everything else about the meal and service was very good. I'll be back but I'll make sure to tell them which bread I prefer read more
