I am writing this review as a serious warning to other pet owners. I took my cat to Paws N Suds for…read morea routine grooming, and they cut off several of her whiskers. Any trained groomer should know that whiskers are not cosmetic--they are vital sensory organs that help cats with balance, navigation, and emotional regulation. They should never be trimmed under any circumstance! I paid to have her professionally groomed so that this would not happen if I endeavored to do this at home. When I contacted the groomer about this, she was defensive and refused to take any responsibility. I had to take my cat to the vet due to the distress this caused her, and I politely asked the groomer to help cover the vet bill since this was clearly caused by her negligence. Instead of doing the right thing, she refused to reimburse anything and then told me not to contact her again. This is not just about a grooming mistake--it's about a lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic animal welfare knowledge. A business that handles animals should care about their well-being, but that was not my experience here. I would absolutely not trust this groomer with any animal. If you love your pet, take them somewhere safe. They deserve better.

We usually saw Amanda, who is now longer with them which I knew because I did receive an email. When I arrived, I was told by Cassidy that the appointment was now with her. I questioned this, but she seemed confused and insisted I had booked with her. I assumed I had made a mistake--but after checking my confirmation, I was right: I had booked with Jessica. The appointment was for our 10-pound Maltipoo, who needed a full shave-down after a week of camping. He was definitely a mess, but nothing out of the ordinary. What was unexpected was the way he behaved the next day--clearly uncomfortable and not himself. I called several times, but no one answered the phone. When I finally received a call back the next day, I was told nothing had happened and that they had no idea what was wrong. They scheduled a phone call with the owner, Christine, for Saturday. I made adjustments to my work schedule to be available. Saturday came and went--no call. I didn't hear from Christine until Wednesday, and by then I had already taken my dog to the vet twice, spending hundreds of dollars. The diagnosis: post-grooming furunculosis, most likely caused by clippers. (Per my vet) We played phone tag for a week, and when I finally connected with someone, it was an employee who apologized on behalf of the owner for the missed call. I never heard directly from Christine again--despite knowing a serious issue occurred under her business's care. The lack of accountability and professionalism was extremely disappointing. And you can save your generic copy and paste response to all the other yelp reviews that I'm currently now seeing it took me a while to write this because I was really upset and had I wrote this immediately my review would be much worse. To make matters worse, they also missed clipping his dew claws. We will absolutely not be returning. A sincere follow-up from the owner could have gone a long way--but unfortunately, that never happened. I am happy to report. I did find the location where Amanda is grooming and will make the trip out to Rochester just to see her knowing I never had a problem.

I had booked with Melissa " The Doodle Whisperer" and was told it would be a 2 week wait for an appt with her as she was in high demand. I was willing to wait to insure a proper groom. When I arrived for the appt., I find that Melissa had left along with most of the other regular groomers weeks before I had made the appt. This is what is now coming out of the Salon under " Doodle Delux" grooming service. His skin has been sheared in several places and he is chewing, scratching and licking these burned areas continuously. In response to this shockingly unprofessional hatchet cut, the manager responded that my dog is a " squirmer" and a "shaker" and attempting to shift blame on him. Interesting since he always looked pristine before the old crew left. I fear for what the dogs experience here when the owners leave them. Lisa Bach

My dog was banned from this location…read more.. And here's why... another dog that was previously banned was allowed back into daycare... the reason it was banned beforehand was because the dog was aggressive towards other dogs and was impossible to get him into a crate. One day this dog started picking on several dogs, including my dog... another dog initiated a fight and several of the dogs ganged up on the previously banned dog. In the video that I have, it is clear as day that my dog was wanting to play but the banned dog kept bullying him... out of self defense, my dog bit him, the fight was broken up by staff, and my dog didn't put up a fight when it was crated. The other dog (at least 70 lbs) laid himself out refusing to be crated. Some of the staff are not trained properly at all to prepare for situations like these... it's clear. My dog has never been ball aggressive or anything of that nature... but the staff should know what dogs play better when they have balls or toys to play with... I've heard from previous employees that several of the current staff members didn't like working in rooms with my rambunctious shepherd because they were afraid of him (his bark sounds very aggressive, but he's honestly the sweetest, most rambunctious puppy). They would keep my dog crated for hours... some days he'd come home from daycare smelling of pure dog urine. To top it all off, the owner doesn't even like dogs. Quite laughable if you ask me.

(They put another puppy in the room with her that jumped on her and she snapped towards the puppy to warn it to not jump in her...typical dog behavior). They immediately said BOTH our dogs were not a good fit after that 1 interaction. Putting our dogs in a new environment and releasing a small puppy at our dogs and determining we were the ones with a problem is puzzling. We have NEVER had our golden bite, show aggression or have any issues with this before. I am just glad I could see what this facility was like before we invested or ever considered boarding them here.
