    Classic cheese

Delicious pizzas! We were a group of 3 and shared an app and 2 pizzas which was the perfect amount of food. We started with the whipped feta which was delicious. We shared 2 pizzas; classic cheese and halloumi. Both were really good and well made. Service was quick, but we did feel a bit rushed to finish our dishes and quickly clear plates at times. Nothing major but it didn't seem busy enough where someone was waiting for a table. Outside of that we had a great experience.

Stopped in here randomly when we were hungry and looking for food in the area. We were pleasantly surprised, services was quick and the pizza was delicious. Thin crispy crust with a tasty sauce and fresh good toppings. Chocolate olive oil cake was a perfect ending to the meal.

    Lamb + Hummus

Ordered the Classic cheese (added mushrooms), the whipped feta, and the Lamb + Hummus. It was a snow squall and didn't want to go out so laziness got the best of me. For 3 items plus delivery it was $93. A bit pricey but I took a chance based on the photos. WORTH EVERY PENNY. I don't have pics because I let my taste buds get the best of me. I would 100% go to the restaurant and order the same items in person. The quality and taste were a 10/10 so in person it would taste even better hot and fresh. The lamb + hummus was my favorite. Perfectly cooked meat and the flavors in the dish were clean and simple. The whipped feta was amazing too and this I would suggest to order in person. However if you don't mind a little deconstructed it's worth it. The pizza is an 8/10 for me and I would return.

Got carry out from here for a family dinner. We tried several of the pizzas and all were really good. The lab and hummus was outstanding. The Caesar salad sounded better than it ended up being. Prices were kind of high but the food was top notch.

Now one of my absolute favorite pizza places. Definitely not quite Neapolitan in my opinion, but phenomenally crunchy and complex sourdough pizza with a charming interior and great service! Definitely make sure to make a reservation ahead of time as this place fills up quickly!

    Beets

Delicious dinner! The beets were amazing, and we also enjoyed the white pizza. We were able to get a table with no reservation.

Only managed to take a pic of the meatballs because we devoured the pizza so fast. But look at this thing! So good.

We've been here twice now, and it's only gotten better and better. The sourdough crust? Unreal. Their marinara is great and really made the marinara pizza special. I was super wowed by the sausage and grape pizza, and won't forget it anytime soon. Have never had trouble sitting at the bar, and service is fast. A 20% gratuity is included with every check. The prices are reasonable, too - eating here costs basically just as much as Pupatella, and this pizza is exponentially better and more special.

    Potatoes, Lamb Hummus, Caesar Salad

Vibes are immaculate here! Been multiple times, and not one food item has disappointed - it's all incredible. The lamb hummus is a standout. This place is a nice combination of great quality yet chill, comfortable, cozy vibes. A touch noisy, so keep that in mind for conversation, but it's worth it either way.

Love love love their sourdough pizza! It's just amazing to see them make this amazing deliciousness right before your eyes. The menu is pretty simple and straightforward! You will enjoy a date night at this place (both food and ambiance)!

A very nice hidden gem in Mt. Pleasant! I love how open the kitchen area is and how initiate the restaurant feels. You really feel like you're part of the action here. Highlight of the meal: the halloumi pizza! The crust was great, the seasoning was perfect, and the halloumi absolutely hit the spot. I ordered it with dill sauce on the side, and it absolutely slapped. Hands down the best pizza I've had in DC. Everything else was a little lackluster. I loved the flavor of the spanakopita toast but was really put off by the high price point. The baklava cheesecake was a little soggy, and the olive oil cake was slightly too salty. For the high price, I don't think the quantity and quality were totally there, but it was close! I would come back here again specifically for that halloumi pizza. Outside of that, it's not bad! Just not a show stealer.

Ambiance is killer! So fun to sit at the bar & watch them make the pizza. Pizza was tasty, drinks were strong, and apps were scrumptious. Service was friendly and helpful!

I think they take reservations but we were able to grab a bar spot. Are drinks pricey? What do you think? It's a cocktail bar in DC. The drinks we tried were pretty tasty, even the mezcal one which I thought was a refreshing take. The wall shows some of the drinks on the menu and the ingredients/glass it comes in which I thought was a nice touch. Bartenders were friendly but not too chatty as they were super busy but you never waited long for a drink. The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. Clean, trendy bathrooms, nice vibes throughout the whole spot for pictures, great for a night cap or pre-dinner drink.

It tasted like a rainbow--just bright and with a really delicious after taste. I should have stopped at the rose but after my trying my friend's, i had to have one! We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

It's a sexy basement vinyl den with additional outdoor seating, 10/10 unique cocktails, and incredible Japanese inspired small plates. Between two visits, we have tried 6 different drinks. They are named after songs and listed on the back of a fake vinyl cover. Each costs around $20, but with the mandatory tip and tax, it comes to around $26-28 per drink. The since I left you, though, is worth every penny. It is similar to an old fashioned but a little sweeter, with bourbon (makers mark), and while the menu says it also has miso, blackberry, cardamom, and cacao, I wouldn't say those flavors come through. But it is one of the best cocktails being served in DC right now. It is so good. They serve it with a cardamom tuile that is delicious as well. There is a lot of variety on here, but my number 2 is the Roses, a bright red gin based drink with a hint of fruitiness and a spicy kick in the back end. If you want something a little sweeter, the Takeover is a cognac based drink with coffee notes served with a mini donut. The food is exceptionally well seasoned and so flavorful. The fried chicken cannot be missed, and I love that you can get it in half or full size portions. The shrimp tempura might be even better. You get four large pieces that are super crisp and have a little orange sauce on them. Amazing. Our second visit we tried their chips and dip, and these potato chips alone are worth a visit. Large, crunchy, and served with a tasty ranch dip. I think 2 dishes is good for two people to fill you up, but add a third if hungry. The place is quite expensive, but they are worth it. For a date night, they are a great choice. Four drinks and three dishes shared between two people came to around $195, but as of this review, they are offering a $30 off deal if you pay through the app In Kind. Bonus points because the first time we came, they seated us maybe 5 minutes after our reservation time, and they gave us a free glass of cava. Top notch customer service right there

This bar is sweet -- awesome music, a neat menu, truly craft cocktails, and a unique menu. We tried several cocktails and each was delicious - from spicy to sweet, they don't miss. We also tried the cheese burger egg rolls and the tuna hand roll. The food is expensive for what you get but it's advertised to be small bites, not a meal. The egg rolls felt like remixed in n out, and as a Californian, I was grateful. Why not 5 stars? With the premium pricetag, I do expect premium service. The bartender was more interested in chatting with some folks he knew who came to sit at the bar. He also spent a lot of time chatting up the couple next to us, so do sit at the bar if you're feeling social. However, for the spare attention he did provide us, he was a bit condescending when we asked for a different glass for a drink that came in a bowl. It was slow until the very end of our stay and yet there were several times where I had an empty glass for a long period (and wanted to order more) or needed water. FYI for 6 drinks and a few bar bites it was $165... we went for a cheap burger dinner afterwards!

Huge shoutout to Matt, our bartender, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Service overall was exceptional from start to finish. We started with the fried calamari and beet salad, which were both excellent and a perfect way to kick off the meal. For entrees, we had the steak frites and the New York strip with potatoes au gratin, plus a couple draft beers to wash it all down. Everything was fantastic, and the portion sizes were very generous. The building itself is part of the experience. It feels historic and full of character, with multiple dining rooms and four different bars that each had their own slightly different ambiance while still keeping that classic historic pub vibe. For a full dinner with appetizers, drinks, and entrees, expect around $100 per person -- but honestly, the quality, atmosphere, and service made it feel well worth it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to anytime I'm in DC.
