Also, since there are no changing rooms wear something close fitting so you can try on clothes over what you're wearing.

They were selling a small Willow tree angel for $14.99; you can get a new one at the Hallmark store in its box for that price or less. I also went into the aisle where they had random picture frames. The aisle was crammed with picture frames which were haphazardly arranged. visually it was unappealing and the art frames on the lower shelf were stacked in a way that they were inaccessible.So here is the dilemma; this is a junky thrift shop that is trying to pretend that it is a boutique and it is not happening. I am all in favor of supporting charity thrift stores but this store is unfairly pricing these donated goods such that the people who depend on thrift shopping to add special things or necessities cannot afford them. Just went back to the shop yesterday -- here are some updates!…read more - The shop is open now on Sundays from 3-6 pm... and NOT open on Saturday from 12-3. Essentially its hours now are Thursday-Sunday 3-6 pm. Even if the door is locked, just knock and the shopkeeper will let you in. - The owner (Sylvia) is going to start transitioning the clothes to the spring season... coming in a couple of weeks or so! - On that note, the shop's strong suit are the accessories -- lots of nice cocktail hats/handbags/jewelry. Examine closely, because pretty much everything in there's for sale. - Starting next week she's going to start making prices static. Yeah, no more haggling, but at least it will be a lot less pressure for those who are uncomfortable with negotiating. In conjunction, some of the prices of the clothing will be adjusted... so maybe that amazing paillette jacket will be cheaper now? Also, I've learned something recently, having become acquainted with the owner. Y'know how it might be kind of intimidating/irritating when the shopkeeper tries to talk to you/make comments about what you're browsing? Well, I always found it that way. They are…read moreconsistent in what you will experience. 1) scent: really have I experienced that thrift store smell whenever I go into a 2nd Ave. thrift store. This one is the same. So they get four stars for that. 2) selection: the store was well stocked, and I found a few things I was looking for and a few things I wasn't but realize I needed 3) size: I called is a superstore, but compared to the store tomorrow it's about half the size. It wasn't as small as some of the Goodwills but I don't know that I would call it a superstore. 4) prices: as 2nd Ave. always does. There are two colors that were 50% off so if you can find those you'll get some great deals. Otherwise the prices were decent. It seems as though many thrift stores have raised their prices, but I wouldn't say the prices were outrageous or unreasonable. 5) location: it was relatively easy to find, and had a sufficient amount of parking. 6) service: I appreciate the self check out that they offer. And the staff was responsive and helpful when I was looking for a couple of items in the store. Overall, this is absolutely worth a stop, and I will likely be back.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The prices at this store reminded me of my good decision to stop donating to thrift stores. I have now started donating ONLY to centers and facilities that TRULY help their communities, and therefore ALL of the items that I donate are free to their customers. The organizations that I now donate to are strictly geared towards helping true low income and less fortunate. The prices at the store are the prices that you would find in regular store AND intentional high priced stores. This store receives donations FOR FREE, AT NO COST TO THEM, AND YET THEIR PRICES ARE MERELY A DISHONEST RACKET. It was very disappointing to see that this store is obviously run by persons who seek to profit excessively and exceedingly from the kindness and generosity of others. I should NEVER see art work at any thrift store for $129.00 that is not the authentic art work of Picasso. I should NEVER see a water jug for $124.00 , even a large one. I should never see a cat sculpture for $69.00. I should never see an 8x10 picture frame for 9.99 (this is the same amount that I would pay at a store for a brand NEW frame). I should never see cookware for $34.00. As I walked through this thrift store, my shock progressed to disgust. This store truly needs to be regulated.
