Truly a new found favorite. Having recently moved here from our of state, we have been exploring all that Hampton Falls and our surrounding towns have to offer. Stopped here on our way home after a vacation in Maine. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We both got the lamb dinner. The lamb was delicious and a solid portion. There was a beautiful large side salad that came with it and a huge portion of rice pilaf. There are picnic tables outside which was perfect on a sunny day. George and the gang at Martha's are great folks and know how to cook up delicious Lebanese food. Everything is great and one of my favorites is the grape leaves. I'm Armenian, and Lebanese food is very similar, and is real comfort food for me. I've been coming to Martha's for years and I love it. Martha and her husband run the show and they work every day, and make everything from scratch. You can get American fare including subs, salads, and burgers, or enjoy something off the extensive Lebanese side of the menu. Some favorites of mine are the Lubee, kafta kabob sandwich, grilled chicken salad, and kibbeh. The salads and homemade dressing are so good and remind me of my grandmother's. I also LOVE their homemade hummus, it's a must try!! You're always given a generous amount of pita bread with your order, which is a huge plus. My boyfriend and I were making the trip from MA to Oguinquit, ME and on our way, we were browsing Yelp for a place to stop for lunch. I am so glad that we found Martha's Restaurant in our search. I have never had Lebanese food before and ALWAYS wanted to try falafel, so we decided to stop at Martha's Restaurant. The restaurant is kind of a little hole in the wall (which usually makes out to be the best restaurants), and the owner was super nice and friendly. As I said, I wanted to try the falafel so I ordered that and my boyfriend ordered the stuffed cabbage. Both were absolutely delicious. The falafel came over a salad with some kind of dressing over it (not sure what the dressing was, but it resembled Greek dressing and it was absolutely delicious!) The food certainly has that "home cooked" feel, as they cook everything fresh right as you order and you can tell they put a lot of hear into their cooking. Overall, food was delicious, service was great. We will certainly be stopping there if we ever find ourselves in that area again. So thankful to Yelp and all the great reviews which is what made us stop here to begin with! read more

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. The food was amazing. If you like stronger herb flavoring, like I do, get the steak shawarma. If you like it lighter, get the chicken shawarma. Wow! Yelp was not wrong! This place and its great reviews have been on our radar for awhile, but sometimes you want full service (dining room style) and not mom-and-pop. Tonight was more of the latter. We were near the end of the night, but were welcomed warmly, first by Martha, then by Joe. They took time to explain the menu and the options within. I was hungry. For me it was grape leaves, falafel plate, steak chawarma. Wife ordered the egg plant special and a salad. Joe took our order and chatted with us, asking if we were from the area and telling us a bit about the restaurant. Food came out in about ten minutes. First was the salad, some pita bread, and the grape leaves. Oh. My. God. The grape leaves were amazing. I used some of wife's salad dressing on the pita bread and it was delightful. Joe checked in to find very happy people. Next came the rest of the order, delivered by both Joe and Martha. The Chawarma literally blew my mind. I'm a big steak-and-cheese guy, but I don't think I can ever again order that sandwich. This was amazing. The steak was tender and flavorful. The sauce is so flavorful that I couldn't actually determine the ingredients, but my stomach was elated. I hate half then started on the falafel plate. Again, a festival of flavors. I was beginning to fill up, but I couldn't stop eating. I ate two of the falafels and about half the salad, then finished the Chawarma. I took the rest home. Wife was equally blown away by her egg plant and ground beef mixture on rice. She also took half home. Super nice people, very personable and helpful. Food was delicious (without question, best Lebanese food we have ever had). We will most definitely be back! Just wanted to add: we bought dessert but didn't eat it until the next day. Man! My grandparents are Lebanese, so I grew up eating delicious, authentic Lebanese food and this place nails it! They even have kibbeh nayyeh!!!!!! Martha's is a "little hole in the wall", they only have a few tables inside and the decor is lacking, but nonetheless, this place is a gem. All their food is extremely fresh and made to order. Lastly, the owners, Joe and Martha. You couldn't ask for nicer people. The first time I went there I told joe I had some Lebanese in my blood and immediately I was apart of his family. It looks like an ordinary sub shop, but don't let that stop you from trying it out. My wife is a fan of Martha's home-style Lebanese dishes. I'm a big fan of the lamb shish kabob, either as a sandwich wrap or the dinner plate. Joe uses his Lebanese connection to get top quality lamb, and the chunks are big enough to be cooked rare. One time he said he couldn't get the good stuff and you could really taste the difference! Martha makes her own salad dressing and pita bread/chips. I ordered the Kofta sandwich and got talking to Martha and Joe. They were really nice and the food was excellent. They made the Kofta in front of me.... like got out the ground meat... mixed with with herbs and spices etc and then cooked it. In amazing fresh pita type bread..... BOOM. Thank you to Yelp for leading us here when we got hungry on the way from Boston to Maine! Martha's Restaurant was an unexpected treasure on our trip! My husband and I were going back and forth about what to order and luckily Joe had some suggestions. He actually suggested we not get two entrees but consider one plate and a small plate of hummus, and we were grateful for his suggestions! The hummus was out of this world! It had olive oil poured on the top, and we both took the pita and dug in. Both of our eyes widened with our first bites, and I said, "That's what olive oil is supposed to taste like!" We had the special of the day, which was stuffed eggplant, and it was so flavorful that we gobbled it up. Joe was surprised to see that we cleaned our plates! The best part of lunch was the atmosphere. It's a small, cozy place, but it's infused with the warmth and charm of its owners. Martha is the definition of a hidden jewel! If you blink you just might miss them and on the outside it looks like a dive, but on the inside lies a jewel.
