I will give him credit too, because we encountered a lot of bad drivers and he kept his composure, when I probably wouldn't have. The tour is nice, but not something I can give 5 stars to. Nothing was necessarily wrong or bad about it, it just didn't quite pop with me. A lot of what is presented his classroom type stuff. Mileage may vary, but for me this was more a 'B' tour if we were using school grades.

As a business owner, I understand the importance of treating customers with respect. I have never…read morebeen more disappointed in my life than I was today with how my family was treated at this establishment. After purchasing coffee and an açaí bowl inside with my wife and 2-year-old daughter, a heavy rainstorm began. Not wanting them to get drenched, I pulled into the side parking lot to pick them up. As I did, the owner--wearing a sour expression--shooed me away as if I were an animal. I asked if I could help him with something, and he (Scott Dario) told me he was the property owner and that I could not park there. I explained that I would be less than 30 seconds, just long enough to safely get my daughter into her car seat. Despite the fact that it was downpouring and I was clearly soaking wet, he aggressively demanded that I leave immediately. He( Scott Dario ) then followed me around the vehicle and continued to escalate the situation. I calmly informed him that I would not leave without my wife and child. He responded by threatening to call the police on me for trespassing. While I loaded the stroller into the car and helped my wife buckle in our daughter, he brought over a friend and they both continued to harass and mock me in front of my family--calling me a "cool guy," saying I should be embarrassed, and even stating, "Good thing your daughter isn't old enough to realize what a jerk you are." He also remarked that he felt bad for my daughter for having a father like me. This was an incredibly disrespectful and humiliating experience. I've been coming here for over 20 years, since I was a child, and had looked forward to continuing that tradition with my own family. I've never been treated so poorly anywhere, let alone by someone claiming to be a business owner. To future customers: be aware that if you pull into the side lot--even momentarily to pick up your family during a rainstorm--you may be confronted, threatened, and publicly shamed by the owner and his friend, as I was, while others are allowed to do the same without issue. Their behavior was not only uncalled for but completely out of line. These individuals should be ashamed of how they treat people. I cannot in good faith recommend anyone support this business. May God help them--they truly need a change of heart.

I made a few phone calls and Deedee arranged to meet us for an afternoon tour. She is a very enthusiastic MV host. We got a fun tour of things you would expect and some you would not. The narration, history and stories of local life were non-stop. We had a great time. She really is a pleasure to work with and saved the day for us. She was awesome and knew the history as well as all the stories of growing up there. She was friends with the people at every stop. One new feature was a tv monitor mounted above the front windshield where she narrated old 1800's photos of the places we stopped about the history of the island. The tour bus was clean and neat. We had 10 people on our tour. We stopped at the place where JAWs was filmed and had a chance to get chowder from a store on the edge of the pier. We stopped at a bakery owned by a Native American and the baked goods were delicious. The also stopped at the lighthouse, which was a beautiful location. Great tour.
