Martin is awesome! We have a ~70 year old native oak tree in our backyard that I wanted to get some advice on prior to planning some construction and changes to a retaining wall. Martin dropped so much knowledge about trees, dealing with construction and provided some great advice on how to keep them healthy. I learned a ton and it was 100% worth it. So many arborists come out and try to sell you a ton of work -- Martin pointed out the things we could focus on doing ourselves. Martin is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and I highly recommend him if you're looking for an arborist. He gave us a thorough assessment of our trees (the reason for the consultation), and spent a lot of time discussing proper maintenance and management of our trees (ie importance of timing pruning with respect to the season). His fee was very reasonable compared to the other local arborists I reached out to, and he did not push unnecessary work. Had a great experience working with Martin - he trimmed a magnolia in front of my house and gave advice on how to care for it in the long term. I wrote a 5-star review on Martin Arnest's services on 8/10/10, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be posted here. Martin came out to my home just the other day for the second time this year. He again did an absolutely fantastic job, this time on a row of plum trees in the back that were really crowding the garden. What a difference it made. I'm delighted with the results. Just as before, Martin was on time, is reasonably priced, and did a highly professional job. He is so nice, flexible, careful and a pleasure to deal with. He has my highest recommendations. When we bought our house there was an overgrown ready-to-collapse corkscrew willow tree in the abandoned backyard. Martin rescued it and, since then, he comes back every year to implement his visionary restructuring while performing the necessary pruning.
