Having worked in a resale bookstore I understand the used buying process and always assume I'll receive little to no money for my items. Today, I sold 7 items: wall decor film slate, two paintings (unknown artist), two Chinese hanging lanterns (new with tag), one Harley Davidson metal plate wall decor, one large table cloth (new with tag). I received $5.50. There is a Good Will 5 minutes away on Aurora Ave and Foothill Drive. The items New Uses does not purchase I drop off for donation right around the corner, which is convenient. Overall, it's a good resale shop where hidden treasures can be found. It is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. My recommendation for management is to advertise tags in advance. Today, I saw many green tagged items I liked. If I knew when green tags would be on sale/special, I would come back the day of the green tag discount.

We spoke to the people that work here for recommendations and she tried out a knee walker and loved how comfortable it was. No returns I ended up using a popular online website to complete the wardrobe I needed. Whatever I didn't like, I returned it, and they had no problem refunding anything. I asked for a discount bc the paint work on this piece was sloppy. You could see the wood color under the newly painted piece in the drawer area, it was never taped off properly and it was just a bad paint job. That should have been my first clue to walk away. Vendor agreed to give me $25 off. I went ahead and bought the piece and Martin (part owner of rustic fox) helped load the piece into the bed of our truck. When they got it in the bed of the truck I noticed the wood was gouged. I noticed it and said, I'm going to repaint this so I'll just repair it with wood putty. Martin had hit this cabinet next to something that caused this to happen when he was bringing it back to load in our truck. We inspected the piece before we bought it and this was not there when viewing it on the floor. Now, I get it home and really start to look at it. This was not a gouge in the wood this was the paint peeling from the piece not being prepared properly. The wood is fine but the paint just peeled right off the piece. You can feel the old, varnished wood underneath. It's smooth like the day the piece was originally made. I called Rustic Fox and was told ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Beware what you buy here. This piece was never prepped and painted properly. Now I have to sand the piece down to the bare wood and prime and repaint. If this was prepped properly to begin with, I could do a light sand and prime and paint. My point here...Martin knew the piece was damaged when he loaded in our truck. He knew he did it. He could have allowed me to return it. The vendor lied and said how much prep work went into this piece. NOT TRUE, you can see it right on the actual piece, it was NOT PREPPED. I'll revise this post once I find out who the vendor is at Rustic Fox. BE CAREFUL when buying these painted pieces. BE CAREFUL all sales are final!!

Once we met a employee here welcoming my girlfriend and I to check out the free stickers, we used to go all the time.. then the next time we went a guy busted out the door and called out my girl by her name saying she's on camera and she can't go lookin for free stuff. The next time we go, I kid you not, the manager busted through a door when we were there and straight up told us there was a note against us. Just over a free sticker. We told him we know already, and we're disgusted to hear they have notes like 'write ups' on their customers. The manager apologizes that he brought it up and gives us a free pre roll for harassing us again. ( BUT was the note ever deleted?) next time we go in the original employee who yelled at us greets us at the door and tells us that because my id has a little damage that he's going to "start giving us a harder time " about it... We get checked in and the dude holds my ID at the register. He raises his arm with my ID in the air... I say dude I got another ID in perfect condition just use this one. Dude takes both my id... holding them both from me without my consent, OK This guy is not law enforcement. He cannot detain my iDs without my consent. And he calls over his manager. The same manager who gave us a pre roll before.. I say ' hey he's now got 2 forms of my identification and he's bugging you now.. can I please just buy something now .?" And the manager says ooh sure! And as I'm handing over my cash the manager whispers to our cashier " talk to me in the office once your done here" So then 4 days later I go to send my girlfriend in for a new purchase and they tell her that she's BANNED. And I'm BANNED to. when the employee had BOTH my ID in HIS raised arm and the manager is Busting out the door a second time towards us, apparently his first thoughts was to bann us both because he "felt I raised my voice" in this situation.. When I literally said " can I please just buy something now?" Pretty much right off the bat. My girlfriend, realizing that she's now banned for no reason, calls aura light and they put the manager on the phone. she says, "what did I do?" And he emails her an attachment with vague descriptions saying Harassment, harassment.. (no real explanation) from random days were we looked or were reminded to not look... for Free stickers. All we ever did was get yelled at for looking for Free stickers, that advertise Their brands. We were totally into Aura light.. but watch them, they don't treat you like a guest. They may apologize to your face and distract you with a preroll gift but their notes and their ability to Bann you 4 days later still remains. Try Market 96, friends.
