My daughter is a student at ETSU SO, I had to find her a destiny office there. When I made the appointment I was told that they accepted my insurance. After my daughter had her appointment she was told that she needed to pay $150 as payment. My daughter called me and notified me of the money net she had to pay and I was livid to say the least. I called and was told that they accepted my insurance but not the federal plan that I have on my daughter. I was never told this when I called to schedule my daughter's appointment! Seems to me that this dentist office is scamming people because, there are a lot of reviews stating the same thing. I would think twice before going to this business!!!!!!! read more

My husband had his teeth cleaned. We go to leave they tell us he owes $101 I questioned why he's never had to pay before an he has same insurance. They said because insurance didn't cover it all. So we pay. (This is early Aug) A week or so later we see our insurance guy an I mention the insurance we picked is pretty crappy didn't even cover cleaning. He said call insurance company they definitely cover three cleaning a year. We call. They paid in full. We can Martin dentistry middleish of August tell them our insurance paid then in full. They check and say oh yes they ​​did....(Get this) Remember Middle of Aug..... Oh we will send you a check out end of Aug. What you collected right away and we now gotta wait another two plus weeks.... Well September 5th comes no check. I call again, sorry they will get that out Monday September 8. Yeah THIS PLACE IS A SCAM not a good BUSINESS. That's just not right. We liked them and my husband had been going for over seven years. But that's very shady what they just did. DID NOT APPRECIATE THAT .... They had our money over a month, ​why I'm guessing to get interest..... I would love to say I was pleased with the care I received. At first, I very much was. Then... "oops" the office made a mistake, and they are not in my insurance network, so they asked me to pay 2x the amount I was quoted. I just couldn't afford that and left very upset about the work they'd so far done, to find out I couldn't afford the dentures. The office manager told me she would call me the next day to see if we could figure something out. She never called. Since that day to today, I have left FIVE messages for the office manager. Tasha, the office manager just called me 1 day before my appointment and told me they needed to move my appointment because someone miss booked my appointment. I've been waiting for this appointment for 6 plus months and cannot make the new appointment time they were trying to give me because my husband only is off for 1 week in the last 6 months and this is the reason why I booked it on this day and time. All she said was, sorry you can come in but they will not be cleaning your teeth. Horrible customer service when it was their fault they messed up the appointment in the first place. read more

They add a lot of added costs and bills you. Don't tell you that these are extra during visit. Also, be careful of quoted prices since they add credit card fee on without telling you. read more

I went back today to get my crown set. I was dreading it since the front office was so unhelpful. However, I had paid for the crown and I had had nothing but good help from Dr. Marshall himself. I brought up my gum situation to him. He apologized and said he should have called me himself-he had no idea it was so difficult to eat even two weeks later. He then carefully and professionally fitted and cemented my new crown. His assistant, Jasmine, has always been courteous and helpful. Simply beware of the front desk--they think they play block and tackle. I doubt people show up from another town complaining of pain just to mess up the schedule‍. read more

when Dr Armstrong owned this business I would have given 5+stars. not now. Martin Dentistry does not give the quality of care that I previously received from Dr Armstrong. Martin is only here for increasing the cost while minimizing care. The hygienist is too good to be associated with this business as it is now operated. read more

I went to Martin dentist formerly Dr Armstrong"s dentist office. I have been going here for more years than I care to count. Today I had a cleaning from Lisa. Lisa has clean my teeth for years and she does a wonderful job. Lisa Cleaned my teeth, check my gums. Checked my mouth for cancer,etc. Lisa is very thorough, takes her time, always making sure you are comfortable and does a very thorough job. I can stay in touch with her with texts and she always answers me. The office has gone digital so everything is brand new. The office staff Like Donna (who is there today) is always very kind and always has a smile on her face. In fact every employee in that office is very kind and very sweet. I have not had a bad day in that office ever. Today Dr longford came to check me over and like the rest of the staff very nice and very kind. I will continue to go there and it takes me approximately 1 1/2 hours each way and if they were marginal I would find someone closer. They are a very very thorough nice office and I feel like family. Martin Dentistry bought out my dentist's office a few years ago and I've had several very poor experiences since. These have included misdiagnoses, witnessing a dentist becoming very distressed, panicky, and screaming at staff during procedures, failure of the office to return multiple patient calls after procedures, and failure to follow up with patients when the dentist doesn't see a patient during a regularly scheduled checkup. there seems to be a revolving door for practitioners here with few staying long term. I'd recommend looking elsewher. read more

The worst dentist office I have ever been to. I called and made an appointment to replace my dentures. They required all my insurance information ahead of time. Within days they billed my Insurance for a full set of dentures and showed me receiving them. My appointment wasn't for three weeks yet. After 5 visits and 4 sets of impression they still never delivered anything. This took 2 months or more. I asked what was taking so long. The dentist replied. " If I was unhappy with the service I could ask for a refund and go somewhere else." I refused to go back after that. They refused to pay back what they had billed the insurance company for. They told the Insurance company it was my fault they lost track of my dentures and wasn't going to refund anything. Because of this my Insurance says that I used my allotment of money for the year and would have to wait till next year to get any Dentures.
