What a nice man! Staff was very friendly. He took a lot of time with me , not a quick in and out like most doctors. Very personable!

I was very impressed with Dr. Cohen and his attentive staff throughout my initial evaluation visit…read morefor nasal issues. I was brought back just a few minutes after arrival and Dr. saw me a few minutes later. After a pleasant conversation as to why I was there and the symptoms I was experiencing, Dr. Cohen listened attentively and followed up with some probing questions. I then transitioned into a separate room where Dr. and staff performed a very easy and quick multi-dimensional CT scan of my nasal cavity/passages. Within a few minutes, Dr. was back in the exam room explaining in great detail what my issues happen to be using the CT image as a visual. Straight forward diagnosis and easy to follow along while Dr. speaks to me and the image. Dr. offered a few different options for me and recommended an easy, effective in-office procedure that should clear up my decades old symptoms for good. I will have Dr. Cohen perform this quick procedure on me in a few weeks and I look forward to breathing clearly for the first time in many, many years. I'm very glad to have found Dr. Cohen and I'll be referring all my friends and colleagues his way, as well.

I had a severe sinus infection, which I get on occasion. I have been suffering from sinus issues since I was a child. When I called his office I was informed he had no appointment for several weeks, but they would put me on a waiting list. I was never called back. I recently received a reminder notice for my "annual checkup" made the appointment. When I mentioned this to Dr. Cohen he was quite dismissive and explained to me that he is only doing procedures and I should be calling my internist for these type of issues. I was quite taken back since he is an ENT and that is what ENT's typically deal with sinus issues. The next day I called the office manager to make sure that what he told me was correct and I did not misunderstand him. She then explained the same exact thing he told me. In other words I need to find another ENT that practices what a ENT does, help patients with chronic sinus issues. I was very fortunate to find another office that has been wonderful and caring. Their office is incredible and they also have the ability to do full sinus exrays and spent a great deal of time with me showing me why I have these issues and have scheduled me for a balloon procedure which was very obvious from the x rays. Dr. Cohen is a great Doctor, but his new office practice is quite unusual.

Dr. Shervin Aminpour changed my life. When I was 12 years old, I got accidentally hit on the nose…read morewith a hockey stick in PE class. It broke my nose. I was afraid to tell my parents. Even though they noticed my nose looked crooked all of a sudden, I denied it out of fear, because I was afraid of doctors/hospitals at the time. I couldn't breathe well out of my right nostril. A few years later I started to notice the change in my face due to this unaddressed fracture. I hated how I looked in the mirror and I didn't feel like myself. In my late teens I went to my primary doc, told them I think I broke my nose, and explained the injury. The doctor took a look at me and said my nose was completely normal, didn't address the obstructed right nostril, and said my nose just changed because of puberty and it was my underlying genetics that made me look that way. I was disappointed but accepted what they said because they were an MD, and I didn't want to undergo an unnecessary procedure. Fast forward many years and I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was not right. I stumbled upon a picture of myself before the injury and that was the final straw that led me to seek a second opinion. I searched online for different docs and wanted to find someone who specialized in this form of reconstruction and cosmetic procedure. Long story short, I found Dr. Aminpour. The second he walked into the examination room, without even reading my file, he took one look at me and said "You broke your nose." I cannot emphasize enough how relieving this was for me. I felt like I was crazy for seeing something wrong when my primary doc told me there wasn't. Dr. Aminpour then discovered my septum was deviated through the physical exam, because it was obvious to him that I wasn't passing much air through the right nostril. I was very nervous on surgery day but he did a great job of reassuring me and easing my nerves. I can't tell you how much this procedure changed my life for the better. I got a combo septo/rhinoplasty. After I was cleared to take the bandages off, I left my house to run errands and saw my reflection in a car window. And for the first time in years, I loved what I saw. I felt like MYSELF. Finally my outward appearance matched what I felt on the inside. I asked Dr. Aminpour to make my nose look as similar as possible to what it was before my injury and he did so wonderfully. I stated my concerns about having a nose that had too much of a upturned swoop and a tip that was too thin/pointy. He reassured me that he wouldn't create that look and left the tip alone. The result is natural-looking AND... Taking a real full inhale for the first time in 2 decades made me realize what I was missing for so long. I no longer have to breathe through my mouth when exerting myself, and it's even improved my amateur signing voice, haha. THANK YOU DR. AMINPOUR FOR CHANGING MY LIFE!!!
