Well I've been to Martin Lawrence galleries before here in Schaumburg as well as when they were in Oak Brook mall back in 2014 and earlier. It's very interesting and amazing to see classic artists that I've learned from history of art and architecture at UIC like Marc Chagall and Pablo Picasso that's still being sold here from the original works to the lithographs. Staff was pretty friendly this is very museum piece Art gallery if you're really rich I did see a few pieces but I learned that they were lithographs and you could have doubles which I learned one of them was Robert deyber that I did not know. His artworks you have to place charades with but they're very well detailed. Is lithographs were almost like $500 if you want to purchase here I'm considering I can't buy an original painting from cuz you're now you're spending in the thousands $$. Other than that the staff was pretty nice there was an occasion where they were doing an art deco and serving hors d'oeuvres I was dressed in Victorian while they're doing art deco which was weird I mean 1920s fashion versus 1880s 1890s LOL for being authentic in selling artwork there's no counterfeits it's just this is not for the average person unless you really want to have a piece of work and you own a home I want to fill it with some wall piece or sculpture but you're going to be breaking the Bank unless you make that kind of money read more

This is my absolute favorite place in Woodfield Mall. Martin Lawrence Galleries does a fabulous job with creating fun events to celebrate different artists, on top of coordinating a wonderful auction. I have purchased from them twice before and they have phenomenal customer service. Erica is my go-to person--she is so great at communicating and is a pleasure to work with. She staged my first purchase at my home and also worked with me when I purchased art as a Christmas present for someone. Everything was all wrapped up and ready for me. I suggest you ask for Erica Evans she is so personable and just a pleasure to talk with. She provides you support and information about their lovely collection but doesn't push you where you feel uncomfortable. That is a true sales person, there to help but not make you feel obligated. Its only August and she helped me purchase my partners Christmas gift and even had it dedicated to him for me since I wasn't able to make it a artist signing. My husband and I were on vacation in Chicago in July of 2019. We both enjoy art galleries but when I found out that the Martin Lawrence Galleries in Schaumberg had Art Deco artwork, I knew we had to go. The photos showed several pieces of the Art Deco artist, Erte, I just had to see them before we left. I was introduced to Erte in college, 35 years prior to actually seeing the works in person. My mouth must have dropped when we arrived, there were so many original pieces, I was overwhelmed! Original paintings, at least 20 bronze sculptural pieces, and several very large serigraphs, I was in awe! Erica Evans, the Senior Fine Art consultant greeted us, by this time she knew I was a huge Erte fan. All the images in the books I had admired came to life! After about 15 minutes I was fixed in a very large serigraph, Erte's 'Athena'. Erica moved the piece to a special viewing area, I was enthralled! She gave us a great price, but it was a bit beyond us at the time. Even though 'Athena' was not coming home at the moment, I was so happy to see the work in person. Over the next few months, Erica texted me a few times. she remembered all we had discussed, she was an outstanding professional sales person! In April of 2020, Erica made us an offer we could not pass up! I was finally going to own a real Erte piece! Erica even sent us a free coffee table book with the piece! It arrived by special courier,. When they opened the package for me, I had tears in my eyes! 'Athena' was home! Erica made a long time dream come true! I cannot thank Erica enough, 'Athena' makes me smile every time I look at her! I cannot wait for the next Erte piece! What an experience from start to finish! Years ago (2008 and 2011) we had a good experience purchasing four Deybers from this gallery. Since then, we have been stalked by this company's marketing department. If you become their customer, you will be called several times a year (I'd say at least six times -- and they keep calling if they don't get you directly, finally caving into a voicemail). They send direct mail six? eight? times a year -- to whomever is in your household (they had my husband's name and my name, so that meant we both got mail!). They email several times a year. I accepted their marketing efforts for several years and then began asking to be removed at each point of contact -- without any change in correspondence. I have checked the unsubscribe box (multiple times). I have emailed marketing directors directly (once). I have specifically asked the people who call me to tell me about the gallery openings to remove me from "all" communications (AT LEAST five times. It's probably more). I have MOVED ACROSS THE COUNTRY. And they apparently got the message from the postal service that we moved, because someone in the office updated my address and COMPLETELY DISREGARDED any notes that were in the system. Or, they don't have a system with notes (worse). I normally just disregard marketing if I'm not interested, but with the quantity of cross-channel communications they're pumping out, these people clearly need to take a course in customer experience 101 -- and the law. The FCC gives companies have 30 days to remove a person who requests it -- not years. I wonder how many other folks' wishes have been disregarded and are in violation? We do enjoy our Deybers, but they unfortunately remind me of this company now. read more
