    Our experience eating here was great. The sevice was wonderful. Our server was super nice and helpful. The menu was small but the food was delicious. The food combinations in the wraps were unique which created a meal we wouldn't have made for ourselves but so glad we tried. The desserts were incredible. Cherry is not my favorite flavor because it often tastes artificial but the bon bon cakes with cherry sauce were absolutely delicious. It tasted like fresh cherries. They use frozen coffee ice in the ice coffee so it doesn't get watered down. This kind of thoughtful touch was present in both the food and the ambiance. It had a little art shop next to it which gave the cafe a cozy feel. We will definitely be going back.

    A lovely hidden treasure! After some delicious coffee my grind and I had a chance to look around at all of the wonderful art, pottery and jewelry pieces. Great ambience!

    I went for a walk and we discovered this place in a strip mall. It's a nice place for coffee and tea. They serve lunch and have arts, jewelry and other decorative pieces that you can purchase. I ordered white tea. It's presented beautifully and there are large places to go and sit while enjoying your drink. They also serve lunch, and I noticed their kitchen has a toaster oven to cook or heat whatever food they serve. Their prices are a bit high for lunch. The tea (when dining in) is a large portion. They give you a mini pot that holds at least two cups. While it is $6, it's two servings. The service is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. It's a nice place if you're looking for obscure art, food and/ tea/coffee.

    I went to Coquelicot with a friend to study, and get some work done. This is a cute spot that mixes a mini art gallery, jewelry/trinkets, coffee and food. It's a pretty neat idea, and creates a beautiful ambiance to study/read in. The music playing was also perfect for the environment too.   THE REALLY GOOD Coquelicot does pour over coffee very well! I give them 5 stars just for that. The quality of their coffee, and water used is top notch! I thoroughly enjoyed my cup of coffee. There aren't any specialty drinks here - no latte's, blended etc...They do have vanilla syrup and can do a café au lait, but that's about it.   THE 'OK'/KNOW BEFORE YOU GO Not a deal breaker, but the seating doesn't seem like it'll accommodate anything more than 1 - 3 people. The tables are big enough for 1 or 2, and it would look extremely odd to push together two tables for 4 or more as it would block the walkway area.   Also, there isn't free wifi which means "enjoy your coffee/food, shop/look, but don't stay long". I was informed the internet provider was xfinity and they offered a free hour of wifi (this can't be used again for another 30 days), and after you're required to pay $4+/hour to continue using the wifi! Café's/Coffee Shops in CA provide free wifi so this deviated from what my "norm" is, but again, not a huge deal breaker.

    A tranquil and optimistic space for conversation and kinship. The bistro-style restaurant is filled with unique art and creations. We tried the mango spritzer and it was deliciously refreshing, with real mangoes at the bottom. The smoked salmon salad was a burst of citrus flavor and well cooked smoked salmon- a very tasty meal This restaurant is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing and laid back environment to think or reflect. Also- the music is really good too :)

    One of my biggest complaints about Palatine is the lack of local establishments especially with cafes/coffee shops. Do we really need 4 Starbucks in Palatine? That's why i couldn't believe Coquelicot is in Palatine! This cafe is absolutely gorgeous and makes you feel so "bougie" as my kids would say. But it's not stuffy and the owners are super nice! It's part art gallery/boutique; coffee/tea shop and cafe. We ordered the cafe au lait, regular coffee and the chocolate bomb dessert. They use fair trade organic coffee from Peace Coffee roasters in Minneapolis and the best part is they use spring water vs tap water and do pour overs. Always a fresh batch of coffee-nice!! And man the coffee is super smooth! All the condiments are organic-sugar, honey, etc!! The chocolate bomb dessert was really the bomb :) It was so awesome and my Mom and I had no problem finishing it off! The gallery and boutique is so unique and cool for this area; agin I couldn't believe I was in Palatine! We will definitely return for coffee of course; but next time I'll also try their lunch menu as well! I am so excited to have Coquelicot in Palatine :)

    Dangerously charming! Coquelicot is the only place where I can enjoy tea and mull around wondering if I need a ceramic dinosaur or two ceramic dinosaurs. Before you come, plan to bring a friend. It's a great place to hang out and chat. When you arrive and enter, you will find the seating area to be table seating and living room style seating designed in a luxurious, casual setting. Yes, I realize the contradiction. But don't stop, keep going. Further in you will find yourself in a jewelry / knick knack bazaar. Pricey, but unique items. Keep going a little bit further. You should now be in a miniature art gallery. You may want to check this out before ordering since food and drinks are not allowed in this area. If you fall in love with the art work and the bank account allows, it appears that the art work is also for sale. Once you are ready to order, I recommend dining in. They serve the tea in a little tea pot and and the setting softly whispers "sit and relax". And since you will stay, might as well order some small bites. The Frommage plate will not disappoint! The brie was melt in your mouth buttery goodness and paired well with the peach preserves. I literally planned my next visit back to eat this while still eating it. Dessert options are available for those with a sweet tooth too. Coffee is also available for the non-tea drinkers. By the time you have fully enjoyed your stay, let me know what you think about ceramic dinosaurs.

    Overall cute coffee/tea shop with beautiful art pieces and trinkets places throughout. I was looking for a quiet yet pretty tea shop so i can do work while grab some lunch. Overall I'm happy to have found this cute little gem. Service 5/5: owned by a family who does a great job conversing with her customers. Drinks 5/5: had the passion fruit green tea. IT SMELLS AMAZING, yet when you drink it is so smooth and light. Exactly how i enjoy my tea. Food 5/5: had the salmon salad and it was decorated very pretty and tasted very good! Ambiance 5/5: very relaxed. Great place to study or have a cute date night. Def provides an intimate and relaxed ambiance

    My new favorite hangout place, jazzy, unique and artsy, with refreshing food and coffee! Thanks to the lovely staff who made our experience so great! I would definitely recommend friends to visit here to try out the salads, coffee, and the scrumptious desserts. They also have a gallery that you can browse through from local or handcrafted unique pieces of art. So it's good if you're looking to get that unique gift for someone special. My husband got me a set of beautiful handmade jewelry which I thought was lovely (before we even came here for the food/coffee). Tip: ask the staff for recommendations!

    Came here for the first time ever on a Thursday late afternoon---3p to be exact. Heard about this place about 4 months ago from friends of mine, a married couple. They are on familiar terms with the owners, a mother-daughter duo. Based on their recommendation, I had to come here and check it out for myself. Thoroughly impressed! It definitely goes in the books as a quaint, cozy, intimate, artisan hole-in-the-wall...although it is less "hole" and more "tasteful spot". I ordered a hot green tea (not the pineapple one, but the other one...sorry folks, can't remember the exact name). It came in a large tea pot (more than enough for one person!) with a side mug on a cute tray. Paid about $6.70. It's fair trade tea, y'all---I'm on board with paying more for that. The menu seems consciously crafted. They recently started serving cold drinks. I'm sure the menu will continue to expand! I stayed here from when I came in at 3p to when I left at about 8p. My tea stayed hot in the pot for 4 out of those 5 hours. Take some time to intentionally gaze at the handpicked artisan pieces (i.e. jewelry, soap, wallets made out of leaves, other nifty trinkets). The gallery makes this place a bit more niche and less mainstream. It also helps to walk around the gallery every so often as a break when I've been staring at an LED screen for way too long. The furniture is well curated. Decor is nicely placed. It's a simple yet glamorous place. Minimalist but still detailed. Music is hip and modern without being irritating and obnoxiously distracting. Will be back here again and again and again! Key points: - Not as big as you think (I like it this way, though) - Try to get to know the owners---it makes coming here more experiential - This is not a place to be shouting and hollering (I'm looking at you, new moms...leave the kiddos at home) - This is definitely a classy-casual-after-dinner-first-date spot, or a "Hey you! I haven't seen you in FOREVER. Let's meet up for coffee!" kinda place - Best suited for sitting two people (makes having conversation more intimate), but you can do away with 3 or 4. Just get creative. - BONUS: The bathroom is exquisitely clean. Thank you kind owners! TLDR: Do us all a favor and make this place your new local getaway spot, but don't spread the news too much (;
