Cured my tmj pain! I could not recommend Dr Gorman more. I suffered from pain in my right tmj for years. My jaw also clicked when I opened my mouth since I got my braces off as a child. Dr Gorman claims to expand your jaw to fix airways issues so you can avoid jaw sugery. You can not expand jaw in adults as the palatal sutures are fused. Dr Gorman will push your teeth out of the bone and destroy you occlusion and disfigure you. He is a dentist and not an orthodontist and is extremely negligent. He has been on previous probation with the dental board. The damage he did will take years to recover from and thousands of dollars to fix and I will be left with permanent damage, and life long pain. read more

WORST experience of my life! He placed 3 implants much closer than is recommended and now two of those have failed,as he left NO ROOM for the bone to grow!!!! That's $10k down the tubes!!!! And to make it worse when I complained he said there was nothing he could do!!! Don't trust this dentist!!! Total waste of money! I have attached a photo of the HORRIBLE job he did!!!! ,I am now stuck with incredible dental bills just to fix the mess he made!!! He is the WORST dentist EVER!!!! We visited when masks were still required by the county for healthcare facilities. The staff didn't wear masks. When Dr.Gorman saw me wearing one, he made a show of turning up his hearing aid and informed me that he has to do that because I was wearing a mask. Note that I hadn't said a word at this point. He had no idea whether I'd be loud enough or not. When my daughter tried to put her mask on after her examination, he told her sharply not to for no apparent reason, since he didn't examine her again. We went in for a myobrace consultation. He gave me a questionnaire for my daughter that had incredibly unspecific symptoms like "does your child interrupt people" and "does she get cranky". Basically behaviors that any six year old would exhibit. And Lo and behold he tallied up my answers and told me my child had a breathing problem and really needed the multi thousand dollar treatment. We ended up going to Kidz Dental which was much more reasonably priced and nicer, and didn't oversell their offerings. read more

I brought my 4 year old niece here because her breathing was labored during sleep. We went in a week before to do a CT Scan, take pictures and they gave us something to put on her hand to do a 3 night sleep study. When we came in the following week, they gave us the results of the CT scan and sleep study to take home and then we saw Dr.Gorman who spent a whole hour explaining the results and then looking at the pictures they had taken together to further explain why her breathing was so labored. He is very passionate about what he does and is very caring. I am looking to also get treated by him myself to have better quality of sleep. I wish this was something that all dentists did especially for our children so that they can live a healthier life and this may even prevent braces in the future. read more

I went in because I thought I needed to fix my tmj even though I don't have any pain, just clicking on one side.There was a lot of miscommunication about treatment - cost, what it would entail (a lot of filing down teeth and bonding) and insurance coverage. It ended up being a financially devastating experience. I did the mouthguard for 3 months ($5000) and after they wanted to do a "bite adjustment" which included filing down several of my teeth and bonding others (a little under $6000). I couldn't afford the "second" stage so I am back to square one unless I want to continue wearing the mouthguard 24/7. The mouthguard was way more painful than my tmj ever was so square one it is. I will say everyone was very nice and accommodating. Oh, and lesson learned...ALWAYS call your insurance company YOURSELF, never rely on anyone who says they will work with them on your behalf. read more

HE CARES!!! That's the thing that stands out most about Dr. Gorman. For certain he's EXPERT at all he does. I feel SO confident every time I see him - like I said, "HE CARES." Dr. Gorman is a hero. For much of my life I prided myself on my incredibly loud snoring, snoring that many have described as "it sounds like you're dying." Then I got married, and my wife did not find my snoring nearly as entertaining as I did - in fact, it was slowly driving her crazy. I went to a bunch of doctors and specialists to try and remedy the problem, and eventually, Dr. Gorman came through with a mouth guard I can wear at night that resolves my sleep apnea. No noisy, uncomfortable Darth Vader mask machine, no risky uvula reduction surgery that can affect you for life, just a simple mouthguard like the one I wore nightly anyway to solve my teeth grinding issues. But that's like 4-star worthy. Dr. Gorman and his staff get 5 stars because they go so incredibly above and beyond that. Now that I have my mouthguard, Dr. Gorman is with me every step of the way, tweaking it constantly to ensure the snoring stays gone and my apnea doesn't return. And at no additional cost. They've been extraordinarily helpful with the pricing of everything, and even offered me a take-home sleep test, which is substantially cheaper than any of the other ones available on the market and way more convenient. And it's not just Dr. Gorman, his entire staff is so warm and friendly, and it's clear they really care about and know each individual patient, which is really impressive. HORRIFIC DENTAL EXPERIENCE I suffer extensively from the failed dental work I agreed to after a consultation with Dr. Martin Gorman. I was NEVER informed by the Dental Board nor by Dr. Martin N Gorman that he was under investigation and later licensed with an imposed probation for 5 yrs when he convinced me to agree to his treatment plan. I stayed with him for over a decade and he NEVER informed me during all those years. Dr. Gorman is amazing! I have been dealing with severe pain from my TMJ for over 2 years after a head injury. I had been to 2 other TMJ specialists prior and found no relief. I wanted to give up but I luckily found my way to Dr. Gorman. Dr. Gorman has decreased my TMJ related pain and is currently working on getting my TMJ back to normal. A few years ago I was referred to doctor Gorman for a consultation about my bite. My bite got all screwed up after the orthodontist uprighted the molar. I basically ended up with only two of my molars touching. One of the dentists referred me to Dr. Gorman as a bite specialist and so i went to see him. I have to say right away that i did not do any work with Dr. Gorman simply because he came across as someone i would never trust with my teeth. I did teeth cleaning with his hygenist and she was excellent. His assistant and the rest of the staff were very nice and friendly. When doctor Gorman came in to talk to me he immediately started to ask me all sorts personal questions . Such as : Where are you from? What is your ethnicity? How did you meet your husband? How long have you been married? WHY DON'T YOU WEAR YOUR WEDDING RING? Where do you work? Of course i knew he was stereotyping me when he asked these questions that were inappropriate for any dental office. We also talked about my bite. I would answer his questions and he would stare at me and all of the sudden he would say " It is so weird. You really sound like my Polish grandfather. He had exactly the same accent as you". I thought it was outright bizarre. I am not even from Poland but whatever. He kept telling me that i may have tmj because i occasionaly have headaches (not tmj kind of headaches but migrane). I was thinking of leaving and not dealing with him any further but against my better judgement i was curious what he would say about my bite after he analyzes the cast (he charged me $500 for it). He did the cast on my bite and a few days later i came to see him again so he can show me on this cast what could be done to correct my bite. His bite analysis was basically a huge sales pitch for all sorts of dental work that i needed on my teeth. He was trying to convince me that my teeth were ugly and nowhere near the perfect ideal standards which i should strive to achieve. So he told me that i needed at least a few crowns (may be more) to correct the bite and that my teeth would really benefit if i put veneers on them and make them longer (my teeth are nowhere near being short by the way). He diagnosed me with tongue thrust and told me to go to his specialist to correct this problem. The first step in starting the treatment would be for me to wear some piece of plastic called MAGO(price $4195) for a few weeks. Overall the price of my bite correction would be about 15k. I did not like the idea of crowing and veneering my healthy teeth so i asked him what he thought about correcting the bite with braces. He agreed and was quick with a referral to a very good ortho who apparently was obnoxious. Dr.Gorman asked me if i knew the meaning of the word "obnoxious"!!!!! Ha-haha No kidding !!!! I am familiar with this one very well. He just could not resist one more chance to put me down and let me know that i must be very stupid person with bad English. That does not matter that i am actually a college graduate and most of my life lived in the US. For Dr. Gorman i was some sort of subhuman he could put down and ask all sorts of weird personal questions. After the bite analysis their finance manager came to talk to me. I suppose she was there to "close the deal". She was talking about her kids, education and was trying to relate to me on a personal level. I was offered financing in case if i were not able to handle 4k price for MAGO. They did not write for me any detailed treatment plan as all other dentists always do so i did not even know what was in store for me. Of course i left never to return. I had a few more consultations with different bite specialists who never had problems with their dental license unlike Dr. Gorman had and none of them told me that i needed to wear this 4k MAGO device. Anyway if you like to be belittled and sold a bunch of questionable treatments here is the dentist for you. read more

I went to Dr. Gorman for a fairly severe TMJ problem. He seemed like he was very knowledgeable about the issue and spent a lot of time trying to correct my problem but unfortunately it was unsuccessful. The only complaint that I have about the treatment was that once it was deemed unsuccessful there was no real closure; that is, Dr. Gorman did not offer any thoughts to why the treatment didn't work and wanted to charge to give his opinion on what possible next steps might be. read more

i had some very questionable dentistry done to me by another dentist and Dr. Gorman was able to fix all of my considerable problems with full implants for my upper teeth. His work was perfect and now my teeth look better than they ever looked in my life. I can eat anything and I feel confident when I smile. When I tell people about what my situation was, and how Dr. Gorman saved my smile, they find it hard to believe that a person with such perfect teeth was not always that way. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I'd give a negative rating if Yelp allowed it. Dr. Gorman is nothing but a scam. I saw him for several months for TMJ issues. He not only made my issue worse, but then stopped treatment in the middle of it and refused to fix the damage he caused...although he had already taken my money of course. If I knew how to report him to the dental board, I would. He is very unintelligent, does not listen to his patients at all, doesn't care about his patients at all, and is a straight out liar. His office refused to submit my insurance claim or give me sufficient paperwork for me to do it myself which led to me losing thousands of dollars. Not only is he completely incompetent, but his staff is equally as bad. They are literally the dumbest, rudest, most unprofessional assistants I have ever encountered. I beg you to not go here. Dr. Gorman has been my family's dentist for the past 20 years. First, Dr. Gorman knows his stuff. I have never known a professional who spent more time studying his craft and staying on the cutting edge of technology. Second, I don't like going to the dentist at all. In this I know that I am not alone. However, Dr. Gorman always makes my visits as pain-free as I could hope. Even my youngest daughter who hates needles trusts Dr. Gorman with her novacaine. Third, Dr. Gorman's staff have all been with him for many years and I enjoy going to see them when I do. What a great group of people. The bottom line is that Dr. Gorman's practice is on the cutting edge of technology and Dr. Gorman himself strikes an excellent balance between integrating new technology with his years of experience in practice.
