I am writing this review because Yelp asked me to. I visited this office for a consult only. Due to the fast onset of a serious medical condition, I had several (a LOT) of teeth just fall out. I virtually needed facial reconstruction surgery. The dentist and her staff were so sweet, gentle, and reassuring, they were a dream to deal with. Sadly, they would not allow me to pay in payments over time and I did not qualify for their special dental credit. Thus, I would have had to pay something like $35,000 up front. I was very disappointed I could not get the work done a t her office because she was so kind and genuinely made me feel at ease. But it was just an issue of not being able to afford it. I ended up getting dental insurance, and finding a dentist who allowed me to go slowly, and get the work done when I can pay for it. read more

I have visited many Dentists and Periodontists specialists before finally landing on the offices of Southland Dental, whose staff, from the doctors to the receptionists, have been nothing short of excellent. There are many reasons why I have made Dr. Hannokai and Southland Dental my dental specialist of choice, but I'll elaborate on the top 3: 1) QUALITY OF WORK: In the past 7 years I've been a patient of Dr. Hanookai, I have had many procedures done, including gum grafting, crowns, bleaching, fillings, inlays, extractions, root canal, deep cleaning, among other things. Each and every procedure was explained to me in detail, planned out to my convenience, and completed to expectation. I am confident that had there been any problems, I would have had priority of service to resolve it to my satisfaction. 2) PERSONAL ATTENTION: I am one of those people who is terrified at sitting on the dentist chair, and cringe at the mere sight of a needle. So the fact that I voluntarily put myself thru all these procedures, and survived them, means that the staff at this office are incredibly patient and know how to convey confidence in their work. It's gotten so good that we have planned my dental work 3 years in advance to maximize my benefits and minimize my expenditure.
