From a beautiful round rustic teak dining table to unique mid century leather chairs, they just fit, look, and feel perfectly in our home. Some of these pieces were huge but they have a great/reasonable shipping service that drives and delivers weekly in Southern Cali. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I bought a pair of picture frames there before with no issue. However, this time I wanted a pair of leather easy chairs with an ottoman. Although my order arrived in 6 weeks as promised - one chair was broken and the ottoman was the wrong size. They didn't check either before delivering them to me or they would have noticed. How careless! Who does that? They do not have prompt communication with the owner and emails and phone calls are not dealt with promptly. It's "we will leave a message for the owner" type of thing - and then you hear nothing back. Questions about when a piece will be delivered are met with vague answers like "we'll let you know". A month and more later past the original delivery date - they returned one of the chairs - still broken - and tried to pretend it had been fixed and was fine. It was not fixed, not fine - and they took it back. No sincere apologies offered, just indifference. Waited weeks again, chair finally delivered working properly. Ottoman I requested to be resized finally arrived after the chair. No apologies for the original ottoman being the wrong size, or for how I was inconvenienced with nowhere to sit for several months. I like the things in their shop but I will never shop there again. Wouldn't recommend them for the above reasons. It's just not worth it.

I had heard about this little gem, known as the last bookstore in Carmel, but hadn't had the time to stop by until this trip. The selection of books was decent, and the service was good. I was even able to find and purchase a book that had been on my to-read list. The books were reasonably priced but some of the garden stuff was pricey. The Secret Garden was especially relaxing and beautiful. I really enjoyed walking through it, taking my time, and simply taking it all in. Definitely a lovely little spot to visit while in Carmel!

They have a wonderful selection of books, tarot cards, crystals, and of course, the secret garden... how does it get any better than that? The garden is incredibly peaceful and zen, and every step feels like discovering something new. Tucked in the back is a charming little shop with a cute selection of décor, wind chimes, candles, and more. Absolutely loved this bookstore. As a bookstore lover, this one is definitely at the top of my list
