I was in te area and decided to finally come see this place and I was pleased. They have a lot of different cuts of beef that you might not find in other places.. I also liked that the have a lot of products with their brand name. The only word of advise is to be careful when choosing your meat. Most of their meat is USDA choice but they also carry USDA inspected which means it was not graded and is in fact a lower quality meat at a lowr price offcourse. Me personally I only buy Choice or Prime. read more

NEED LOTS OF FOOD? this is the place to go. my friend Norma (fellow yelper) introduced me to this place. it is amazing! talk about a variety of good meats, cheeses, poultry and other goodies. do keep in mind all is in very large quantity sizes but a great deal for parties or when feeding a small nation of people!! prices are really good too! they carry Vacio (also known as flap meat - churrasco - nice quality), giant size seasonings, chorizos (5lb bags) among other merchandise. today i took home a nice size package of 2 large baby back ribs (cost: $3.39lb - 1 package 6.350 lbs = TOTAL COST - $21.53!) Found this place on yelp with the hope that it can be a cheaper alternative to the current wholesale type warehouse out there like Costco, SAMs and so on. I was surprised that even though they are a bare bones large quantity meat and produce whole sale grocery, they also are very well organized and fully stocked with food items that would benefit folks on a budget that need to buy in bulk for a large family and or small business. The warehouse that serves as this grocery is very clean and has about a dozen registers open to handle the crowds that move along rather quickly. So my rating for this Mecca of family food feast will be awarded a 9 of 10 for its value in these trying economical times. read more

This reminds me of a small Hispanic BJ's. Prices are OK they are not amazing, especially for all the work you have to do. For example the meat doesn't come all pretty like it does in the regular markets. You have to do all of that work. The store is clean and well stocked. But for the price you pay for the meat here you just have to do so much work that at the end it isn't worth it. We left here and went to BJ's and the same meat was .50 cents cheaper and already pretty and cut and I didn't have to spend time cutting it or taking the giant pieces of fat or connective tissue off. read more

There's no other place to go for good price and high quality! If you're an intensive beef eater, ie: Argentinean, Brazilian or Venezuelan, you'll love to find this cuts: Vacío, Picanha (Punta de Anca, o de Trasero, Cola de Cuadril), Bife de Chorizo, Costilla (for Asado de Tira), and Chorizo Criollo. Only place I got to purchase frozen meat and seafood products. Despite the fact they are frozen when defrosted and made all the food tastes great. The prices are affordable and they have a vast selection of stuff. Someone earlier said they don't take credit cards but I have always used my debit card so not sure what that's about. read more

Don't buy their powder milk. It tastes like pure fat and probably is so fatty that will clog your arteries. Got sick (headaches for 2 days when I normally don't suffer from headaches) plus the taste was terrible. We had to trash almost a full bag cause couldn't find the receipt to return it. read more

She sent email to me as following: DELIVERY MONDAY FROM 5:30A.M. TO 2:00P.M. PLEASE NOTE SOMEONE HAS TO BE AT BUSINESS FOR DELIVERY. DELIVERY GOES BY ONLY ONE TIME. The delivery time is from 5:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Our restaurant open at 10:30 A.M. from Monday to Friday. So I call their office and try to find methods to solve this thing. We have following conversation: 1) Could you delivery our food after 10:30 A.M.? No. I don't know what time will the driver delivery to you? 2) If it is possible the driver call me before coming, and I can open the door for him. No. The driver can not call you. I don't understand you. If you want, you can pick up by yourself. They don't help and respect their customers.Actually, I really want to buy their food. Finally, I cancelled my order. read more

My father told my sister about this place. He went there when my parents owned a small grocery store. My sister and I now go on a regular basis. All portions are big, but you definately are saving some money. Since they have moved to their current location, the place is clean and very very well organized. You can find ALL types of red meats, chicken, some seafood, rice, beans, cheeses, and some other frozen items. I live in Sunny Isles, and I drive all the way to Doral when I need to get my grocery meats. I highly recommend this place. read more

Someone recommended this place so I went to check it out. If you are not into reading food labels, or you don't care about what you put in your body then you will love this place. The meats are not even "choice" rated which is what you get at the low price places like Walmart and Winn Dixie , it's a no ratings meat. Bought a $35 tenderloin, it was pumped full of red dye preservatives, fat trim and tough. Threw it in the trash. Their frozen lobster is pumped with a preservative named Saline Bromine. This products was banned by the FDA to use on vegetables because it was killing people. Need I say more? And at $18 a pound, no bargain. You get fresh Florida lobster, not frozen, not full of chemicals, for $24 a pound. So why eat this stuff. All of their shrimp and seafood is from Thailand, Vietnam and India, take my word, you don't eat ANYTHING from these places. Bottom line, a small crowded place with little parking selling low end bottom of the barrel food. The savings do not justify putting this food on your table. read more

I just went to Martinez this afternoon, great place, but there was something that bothered the heck out of me, by the time i was ready to pay i ask the cashier were was the piggy bank each one of them use to have,she told me that a customer had complained about it and management removed them even though they can still accept tips,i find it very revolting that management was not able to back up employees and tell the customer that tipping is not mandatory is up to customers to do so, by taking away the piggy bank they also taking away food from the table of those employees because by not seeing the piggy banks customers hardly tip them,I hope management reconsiders and reverse these policy specially in these holidays, hope they have a kind heart and think about their employees and families read more

Great chicken breasts and pork loins. Chicken breasts $1.69 per pound, while WD and Publix sells same for much higher, sometimes 3x+ higher. I will only buy my meats, fish and poultry from martinez. No more paying for over priced at Walmart, WinnDixie or Publix. They can't even compare to the prices or the quality.
