I am more than ecstatic to write this review! I've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years--since I was a child--and the food never disappoints. From the simple fish empanadas to the whole fried snapper, everything is delicious. Their seafood soup and conch soup are absolute must-try items for me; just writing this makes me crave them. If you order the fried shrimp or fish pieces, make sure to get the sauce as well. It's a great spot for healthy eating or for pescatarians since they only serve seafood. The service is straightforward: you just stand in line to order. While it isn't always packed, there are days with long lines and heavy wait times, but the staff tries to be fast and efficient. As for the ambiance, the restaurant is located in the heart of Allapattah. It features outdoor seating and smells of the sea; it might not look like much, but I guarantee the food is out of this world. You won't find another place like this with such fresh ingredients and amazing flavors. I will recommend this to my children and grandchildren, and I hope my entire legacy continues this tradition. I saw this little Sea Food Stand on my commute home from Downtown Miami. Grabbed some seafood here from time to time but never got any of the food because the line is so long and my couch was calling me. I don't care where my seafood comes from as long as it is fresh and delicious. My husband and I wanted a snack so he insisted we come here for some conch. He ordered us some fried conch which is suppose to come with rice and beans or a salad. He asked for rice and beans but they messed up and gave us a salad. The conch also came with a tiny bit of their house aioli and some fried plantain. If you want more aioli you had to pay an additional $3. The conch was okay. We didn't eat the "salad" because it was just some lettuce and two pieces of tomatoes. And the plantain was whatever. The total for the whole thing was about $22. The conch was cool but nothing crazy good. My husband wasn't too happy with the order. It was pretty busy when we came and the order came out pretty quick. I received 2 small steaks that were way over cooked, dried out and had really no flavor. I'm sure they have other things that are very good but I can't recommend this dish. The only downside is the fact they don't have an effective system for cleaning the fish. You come and drop your bag on the end of the counter and they grab it from there. Now, if there's a lot of people not everyone knows to drop their bag at the end of the counter, they just drop it anywhere thus essentially "cutting the line". My mom's friend had recommended this place and it did not disappoint. We came for lunch during a Saturday afternoon and even though there was a line it was well worth the wait. Parking is a little complicated but since people come and go, it's pretty quick to find parking. I ordered the fish with fried plantains and salad. Let me tell you it was delicious! Cooked really well and pretty filling. I am not one to order fish because of the bones but I couldn't pass up on the opportunity. They serve you the entire fish including bones and everything. Pretty neat! The idea is you walk up to the window, order the food and sit on tables outside, if there are any available. When I went it was pretty busy but luckily one table opened up and we were able to sit outside and enjoy our meal. We saw this restaurant on social media and decided to give it a try. When we arrived, there was a long line waiting to order because you order at a window and sit outside at concrete tables. Portions are humongous, but the food isn't good. The crab soup was the worst I have ever experienced. After a couple sips, I decided to trash it. The rice and beans are soupy pinto beans on top of white rice which was repulsive. I ordered the minuta which was supposedly snapper but the box was filled with small pieces of fish and lots of fish tails. Several times while we were sitting down to eat, we were approached by people selling things. The only good thing I have to say about this establishment is that they give you huge portions but most of what I ordered. I brought home for my dogs. Hopefully they will eat it. There are homeless around, street vendors, trash all over, concrete tables than hasn't been clean in a long time, no bathrooms, long lines (which I don't understand) and the most outrageous is there fry ROTTEN fish. Please try the following: buy the fry fish and place it in your table. Get out of your house and a few minutes later get inside of your house and you will know how bad that fry rotten fish is. It is the season of Lent and in my family, we always have fresh fish on Friday during this time of the year. My family and I have been coming to this place for years. They do have a restaurant in the front for food to dine in or to go. The actual market is located behind the restaurant. This market has all of your seafood needs. They do offer some items in boxes if you are looking to buy a good amount. They provide gloves, plastic bags, and buckets (if needed) for you to place your items. Of course, you pick the seafood items that you want and they have a scale for you to measure. Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. Also, they do offer to clean your fish, if would like. So I would recommend bringing some cash for tipping if you partake in that service. The parking can be a bit of a hassle(depending on the time) however, you can always score some street parking. read more

This place is a hidden gen in florida if you are looking to cook fish for your family/friends. They have great selection of fishes and extremely reasonable prices. Their fish is fresh and you can select your batch. They have also blue crab alive so you can choose. After you've selected your seafood and pay for it you can go to the back and there is a service area for you to give your selection and ask for your seafood to be clean/cut however you wish. They work with tips so feel free to tip generously and depending on the amount/size you are giving. Usually people tip between 5$-15$. They have a restaurant in the front if you dont feel like cooking! Their food looked delish and there was a big line for their goods. Over the 4th of July holiday weekend they were open so we stopped in to grab a plate of fried fish. We parked and headed into the market to check prices to compare it to a local spot by home. There was everything from whole fish, filets, fish heads, jumbo prawns, conch, oysters and so much more. On the other side is where the magic happens. They have a succulent menu with all things fresh seafood and a variety of cooking preferences whether be fried, blackened, grilled, creole style, etc. On this day we tried their special which was whole fried snapper and opted for a salad and fried plaintains instead of the traditional rice and beans for sides. After ordering at the counter grab a seat and be ready for your order to be called quickly. Each table has the usual salt and pepper and Tabasco sauce topping. Everything we had was delicious and all that plus 2 drinks was still under $40. It was a win win situation here! We also had their shrimp and fish ceviche. Fresh and full of flavor! The real deal Miami fried fish shack!!! Off the beaten path in the heart of the Alapata neighborhood inside the real Miami hood, there is a very special dining venue not fit for all. A garage like "marquecina" were you order at a window and all the food is in to-go containers. It looked a little "rough" when I parked but once I was on line and saw the fried whole fish I was sold.
